I’d have loved to come to this but two kids under 10 that I’d have to bring don’t need subjected to the harassment of trans activists outside.

Ooh, sisters uncut had a placard and banner making session the other day! Excited to see their handiwork...

In fairness they had quite an attractive one in Glasgow.

My badges are better though

I totally agree with their banner, that's why it's important that women still have the right to single sex spaces.
I thought sisters uncut was some reference to FGM, I take it I'm wrong?

I've emailed the organisers re a waiting list but I've not had a response :(

Thats a shame. I hate the thought of my place going to waste. I will email them again. Can you get there at short notice ?

Report
BearFoxBear · 14/02/2018 15:33

Yes, I'm local, so getting there fast is no problem.

sexnotgender · 14/02/2018 15:44

By sisters uncut are they essentially men then?

Sisters uncut is an offshoot from the UK Uncut group that sprung up at the start of austerity. The name is to do with government funding cuts. They claim to be a feminist offshoot, either they never were or they've been infiltrated.

I am completely fuming (polite word for it) that I didn't make it tonight. But the last time I went to Edinburgh in the snow I got stuck halfway through Fife at midnight and I'm working early so can't risk it. It's the first snow we've had this winter! Anyway I really hope everyone who gets there is going to share all the details here. Please.

I bowed out of going due to horizontal snow on the A9. Sad

Tweets from the meeting are at #WPUK. There are a few protesters chanting outside with their faces covered, but otherwise seems to be going well.
