Woke up yesterday to a nawing pain where my knickers sit on my right leg. Thought oh I'm just getting fat and need bigger knickers.

Today I woke up feeling like shit. I can barely move my leg. It's agongy I cannot walk to see this monsteristy. There is a larged raised redness around it. I cannot get to the GP i have a meeting in the morning I cannot miss.
I feel really shit, keep getting cold as well. I thought infected hair folicie but it looks worse. Would show the large red patch around it but I'm embarrassed enough showing this. Please help 😭

Oh wow, so it was quite serious then?! Thank goodness you didn't listen to the ludicrous 'leave it, or put a hot flannel on it' and 'it's a boil just pop it!' posters. Clearly some people don't know what the hell they are on about.

So glad you've been seen, diagnosed and put on the proper treatment, OP. Cellulitis can spread so quickly once it takes hold, as I know from bitter experience. Now wishing you all the very best for your recovery.

You are wrong and clearly shouldn't be giving medical advice. OP is on IV antibiotics and will likely be admitted as it looks suspiciously similar to what happened to a loved one of mine.

Glad you went OP and that you’re getting treatment. The feeling unwell and spreading redness were the sepsis signs so you may well have had your life saved.

Do you not feel awful that you could have given devastating advice here? It’s one thing being a troll and talking shite and lying, but handing out advice that could kill someone is something else.

Not necessarily sepsis. I had severe cellulitis, with exactly the same spreading redness and an extremely high temperature and needed 16 days of iv antibiotics. No mention of sepsis.

I sincerely hope you called your ex a cunt when you updated him.

It turns out if they didn’t go, they could have died. And her children would have been without a mother. You should be ashamed of yourself. Completely and utterly ashamed.
