I lost 4lbs. Had a terrible day today and had a cinnamon swirl snd too mixj bread. Have loads kf flex points so still on plan but just feel I wont lose now!

Also found out that aldi lightest mayo has 0 points! God knows what chemicals it is made from but it tasted nice!

HeffalumpsnWoozles · 24/01/2018 08:17

Joined up 2 weeks ago with 2.5st to lose, first week lost 2.5lb and this week a further 2lb so quite happy.
I prefer it to Smartpoints as I struggled but the 0 point food is really helping bulk out my meals.
I am a bit worried I will eventually get sick of eggs though Grin

I do online only, lots of people are complaining that its not updated when you scan foods and the 0 point items are coming up pointed. Its fine when you manually add though.

Michellejones2 · 24/01/2018 09:38

I think the new flex plan is great lost 12lb in 4 weeks much better than the old plan

hellhasahancart · 24/01/2018 10:40

I found a gem of a recipe yesterday if you like quiche! White bread rolled out and cut in half, spray oil in muffin/cupcake tin push bread into mould (the recipe says to cut out in rounds but I didn't bother - it didn't look perfect but tasted great) cook until browned.

Mix eggs and 0% Greek yoghurt (the recipe was for half fat crème fraiche but that adds more points) with a bit of mustard, herbs and seasoning. Add any veg to the bread 'cups' (I had mushrooms, onions and peppers) and any meat (I added a little bit of bacon without fat) and cook until the mixture has set. They are 1 or 2 points each (dependant on filling), they taste great and are really filling. I also made a couple without using the bread as I had some leftover mixture and they were good too, so, if done right they could be 0 points.

I realise this is probably nothing new but I am very excited about them Smile

So I braved a meeting and joined today. Have the app. Have linked my Fitbit to app. Let's do this! Not quite sure how it all works yet. Need to find some go-to recipes for less confident cooks!

sportyfool · 24/01/2018 18:19

I just made Nana's magic soup .. it's really lovely !

HoosierDaddy · 24/01/2018 19:45

My stir fry and rice are bubbling away for dinner, and I thoroughly enjoy them, but I am definitely feeling munchy today... I will resist! W/I tomorrow 💪

V111XKY · 24/01/2018 19:47

Weighed in today I've lost 6.4lb in 10 days very happy with that! Went and got some alpro yoghurt from Tesco which is on offer it tastes lovely nice change from 0%greek!

sportyfool · 24/01/2018 20:09

Should have added its low in points , one bowl is about 4/5 points and very filling . I had it for dinner .

TheImprobableGirl · 24/01/2018 21:24

I'm still tracking at eating well.... and put on a lb Shock

I'm in real need of snack ideas, because at the moment i'm just eating an extra meal - and although its all in points, I think its the extra meal where Im going wrong

TheImprobableGirl · 24/01/2018 21:27

I've also linked my fitbit to the app mamoftwo and it seems to track any walks I do (school run is 15 mins at a bit of a run if i'm late, often) but then it will track the steps for the day. At the moment I'm doing 14000ish steps a day, so thats about 9 points worth, but then getting 18 points logged on to my system because it tracks various bits as a walk, run, waddle etc.

How many should I put as my goal steps? I was thinking of 60 fit points, I would like to use some if I do more exercise than normal, but I get through 10,000 steps a day fairly easily. I think its using my extra fit points that is not working for me so far, I'm really struggling!

sportyfool · 25/01/2018 10:54

Lost a pound .. better than nothing I guess .. sticking to plan and averaging 20,000 steps a day !!! I guess I 'only' want to lose a stone so it will be slow .

3.5 lbs off, 6.5 in 3 weeks. Happy with the progress so far, still a long way to go (3 stone in total, at least).
Enjoying veggie stir fries again, I had got out of the habit of cooking.

Lambbone · 25/01/2018 21:23

We had a lovely dinner today. Downloaded recipe. It is Marcus Wareing's Fragrant Asian Hotpot. Look it up. I had to calculate the points and think it works out at 5 per serving.

Very flexible too. Recipe calls for mange tout but I used French beans as I had some. And replaced baby corn with frozen corn, because I had some.

First weigh in tomorrow Grin

Jakeyjojo · 26/01/2018 07:31

Hi, joined the new WW scheme last week, lost 1lb first week but stayed the same this week 😭.
Stupid question, but can I be eating too much free food? For example -
Breakfast - fruit smoothie
Lunch - 4 egg and vegetable omelette
Tea - 2 large chicken breasts with 'slaw' (Tom Kerridge's lose weight for good book)
Snacks - 0% Greek yoghurt & lots of fruit.
The 'free' food seems too good to be true
🙄
Thanks!

Oo can I join. I lost 4.5 my first week then went away for the weekend and gained 2. Lost that this week so still at 4.5lbs off over three weeks. I'm hoping it average out at 1lb per week this year. I have 6.5 stones to use have a long way to go.

Lady,
My wife joined online and put my weight and amount to lose into the calculator and it gave me 37 points initially reducing to 35.
I'm 16st 4lbs.
She lost 2 stone on WW previously scheme and has rejoined as she's unhappy with her weight. She's lost 1lb in 2 weeks but trains 4 / 5 times a week.

Thanks!
I'll have a look.

MrWasheeWashee · 26/01/2018 09:22

@Jakeyjojo smoothies have to be pointed. I have read online people have said to be careful with too much fruit even though it's free.

I'm also inclined to say that 3 chicken breasts for dinner seems a bit excessive. Maybe have 2 instead and see if that helps? I tend to only have one and then have lots of veg as salad just doesn't fill me up. Broccoli rice is a good one - a large ish chicken breast and half a plate of broccoli rice. Bisto gravy is low in points so a bit of that gives it more flavour.

I bought Morrisons frozen butternut squash chunks and oven roasted them in fry light, really filling in place of potatoes and 0 points too.
