Pipparose. I started the thread and need to give myself a kick up the 'arris as I'm hovering and gaining. I haven't had the inclination to continue the C25K running as it's been so hot.

How is everyone else doing?? I too need a bit of inspiration. 😊

I'm not doing so great, d & v last week (lost 5.5lbs!! ) but still got a dicky tummy, but starving! Can only stomach carbs and plain food which means I'm quickly using all my dailies up plus more even though I'm.eating little. I'd like to try and keep last week's loss off but not sure I'll manage it.

PippaRose · 29/07/2018 19:03

So on flex there are lots of 0 points foods. How do you all balance incorporating them and still losing weight? I know they are there to be used but obviously do have calories.

So for example I could eat all my points and have a quorn chilli for dinner but would that slow my weight loss?

Hope I have explained that!

flamingocoffee · 31/07/2018 20:02

Hi signing up to do ww online again tomorrow. Didn't get on with flex the last 2 times I tried it but at my wits end with my weight now and ww is the only thing I have ever made work.

I just need to get my head more around 'flex'.

Will get summer out of the way then once kids are back at school and I am back at work (term time only worker) I will sign up for membership at local leisure centre and start swimming again.

Will weigh in in the morning but know I have around 50lb to lose. I turn 40 May 2019 and refuse to be fat and 40 Blush

flamingocoffee · 01/08/2018 10:46

Signed up and weighed in - just 51lbs to lose Blush

Watchingtheworldgoby · 06/08/2018 17:14

Hi, I have just joined (online). I did s trial run on Saturday and stayed within the 23 points. Yesterday was a disaster and I ate over 60!!!!

Today is the proper first day. I feel I have a grasp of it. I have a five day meal plan, lots of fruit and the fridge is stocked.

However I am u sure if I am
on SmartPoibts or Flex. I want to be on SmartPoibts as I am doing this due to reading success stories in Istsgram and they all used SmartPoibts for dramatic weight loss.

Madein1995 · 09/08/2018 00:05

5.5lbs off on Monday! Have felt the need to eat a bit more this week and so only have 12 weekly points left Shock

I'm still sticking to it though - weeklies and fitpoints are meant to be used I guess? And no plans this weekend so should be OK to stay on plan. Felt it liberating going round Tesco earlier and picking up Tins of soup and skewers and tikka steaks etc - on sw it wasn't really allowed so I tended to stick to the boring sane few easy meals.

Planning on gym 3x this week plus walking dog now it's cooler. I started off not snacking so much just 3x meals per day and I want to get back into that.

I can't believe the difference between this and sw. Obviously it's still early days yet but in sw it was all about 'you can eat a tub of halo top ice cream in one go, it's within your syns' whereas in my ww groups it's 'just cos you could doesn't mean you should. Try and stick to proper portions and use your points on different things, your weeklies are to enjoy as and when you need them not to blow all 42 after WI!' which just seems a healthier concept to me. It seems a bit more realistic - it is annoying when Muller lights and other stuff are quite high in points but there must be a reason for that.

Today was a piggy day!
Tea and alpen bar
Snack a jack
Ham roll, grapes, yogurt, strawberries
Gym
3 crackers, butter, wensleydale, 2 scoops halo top

Tomorrows plan is

Porridge and berries
Grapes to snack (if needed)
Tomato soup, strawberries, bag of pufts
A yogurt - either as a snack or 'dessert' after tea
Chicken and chorizo skewers, either veggie rice or homemade chips with it

How is everyone coping with the school holidays? I am halfway through my 6 week break. I was given 14 boxes of chocolates, 6 bottles of wine/prosecco and gin amongst my end of term gifts and that combined with my birthday in the first week of the holidays meant I wobbled a bit and gained 4lbs back. Just been away with friends for 10 days and got back on track as I did most of the evening cooking. On lunches out, I stuck to baked potatoes or a sandwich, we did have one lot of fish and chips, went out for a huge meal including bacon and macaroni cheese with a cheese board to finish and one Chinese takeaway. I used my weeklies and then some! We did walk a lot and I based my evening meals around salad.
I am pleased to say that not only did I get rid of the 4lbs I put on, I lost another 2 as well!

busyboysmum · 15/08/2018 13:37

Just rejoined and weighed in at 12 stone. Argh.

I like the look of the flex as I like eggs chicken and fish.

Am just looking through some recipes online. Anyone got any favourites to recommend?

Paperdolly · 16/08/2018 22:34

The one egg and one banana mushed together to make a breakfast waffle. Once cooked, 3 mins, add 1 tbsp 0% Fage and berries. Great start to the day!

busyboysmum · 16/08/2018 23:29

I saw that it looks fantastic and great as a snack to be honest. How many points does it come in at? It seems you do get quite a lot of food to eat does this definitely work?

I have eaten loads today.

Porridge with banana for breakfast then an apple for a snack. 6 points in total

I have leek and lentil soup and cherry tomatoes and actual cherries for lunch. 0 points

When I got in a had a banana as a snack and then for my tea a baked potato with a tin of salmon and a massive salad 8 points

also had air popped popcorn later with some salt and a teaspoon of sugar and I'm still within my points. I pointed that as 5

Hi, I haven't posted in a while so thought I would update. In my area, the kids broke up for the summer at the end of June and go back early Sept so it hasn't been easy timing wise. We have had a few camping trips and a holiday too. Anyway I joined online on the 27th June and so far have lost 20lbs which I am delighted with. I have a lot to lose though so it will come off quicker at the start....

hippy that is fantastic, well done! I bet you wish you lived in my area, 9 week summer holiday break Grin

madein yes dailies and weeklies are to be used, not so much the fitpoints though - except in an emergency!

pippa I don't refer to 'free foods', I call them zero point foods. They are to be eaten - like any food - in moderation. They are part of a healthy balanced diet. Try to focus on building a whole meal round them using all the food groups and you should be fine. Also still think portion control - still eat what you consider to be a 'normal' portion. Like one chicken breast, one salmon fillet, 2 eggs etc. I see people saying they eat 2-3 chicken breasts for dinner, a 4 egg omelette for lunch and a large tub of zero points yogurt every day and then don't know they didn't lose as they stuck to the plan. Portion control is vital. If my weight loss slows, I plan on using MFP for a week to actually see how I am doing calorie wise - at the end of the day ww is a calorie controlled diet.

watching Flex is the name of the plan. There are two ways of doing it - no count, which has a huge list of 'free' foods that aren't pointed and a weekly smartpoints allowance for other things not on the list. Or you can point everything - foods contain a set amount of smartpoints and you track accordingly. There is a list of zero point foods but this differs to the no count list. You get a daily point allowance and a weekly point allowance to give you the flexibility to decide how you want to use the weeklies (hence the name flex). Previosuly, ww used 'propoints', I think before that it was just 'points'. But currently it is smartpoints.

PrivateDoor · 19/08/2018 12:23

paper how are you getting on now? How is the C25K going?

crazydoglady6867 · 24/08/2018 10:00

Just joined the online App thing and I will spend the weekend trying to understand the points system. I seem to have two different points daily and weekly, that will take some understanding. I am a Vegan so I am hoping I can find plenty of meal ideas on the website. I feel a bit thick when I look at the website as it is just a load of images and arrows and I am not the most technical person tin the world so I will give myself the weekend to look around it I think. If anyone can simplify the plan for me it would be a great help, just a quick overview so I have at least some idea!

DesertIslandPenguin · 25/08/2018 14:45

@crazydoglady6867 The weekly points are a safety net to dip into if you're out for dinner for example and would be using more than your daily allowance. I don't tend to use many of mine but have still managed to lose on a week when I used them ALL. It's basically to make the plan more livable.

With regard to vegan recipes, I don't know how much is on the app, but there are some great vegan WW bloggers on Instagram. www.instagram.com/wwlifestyle92 is a good place to start!

sweetiepie1979 · 27/08/2018 14:44

Hello all newbie here on my 2nd week loss of 2 pounds last week. Today I had a zero breakfast and lunch but came home and ate 14 points worth of junk food with weight watchers snacks I feel so bad is that a really bad thing to do? I think my period is due so I was craving crap food or I’m just getting in to bad habits. I have 2 stone to lose.

sweetiepie1979 · 27/08/2018 20:45

Anyone?

DesertIslandPenguin · 28/08/2018 12:37

@sweetiepie1979 Everyone has days like that. It's not ideal but that's life. As long as you keep within your points you should be fine.

JoJoBaldwin · 28/08/2018 16:16

Hi all, I joined WW today and am feeling motivated! The weight has been piling on for the last year and I am now 14st 10lb, the heaviest I've ever been. Have tried Slimming World a few times but started to get bored and switched off with it - the meeting went on forever! Much preferred the WW meeting today.

Have had melon and grapes and cheese for breakfast, and two poached eggs on top of a salad for lunch. Now fighting cravings for red wine!

Paperdolly · 30/08/2018 06:53

PrivateDoor. Thanks for asking. Still hovering after losing a stone. Intermittently doing the running as have been really busy holidaying lately.

How are you getting on?

firstworldproblems2018 · 31/08/2018 22:29

Rejoined online today after months of messing about. WW has worked brilliantly for me in the past. Now just got to stick to it!

Sundaytwist · 03/09/2018 12:45

I said enough's enough and joined WW last Thursday for the first time. (I was with SW a few years back) but I am struggling with using my points on a daily & weekly basis.

What do you all use them for? I don't want to end up eating them all on junk and using them for the sake of it. Yesterday after dinner... I had 12 points left! I can't bear this almond unsweetened stuff so going to go & use more points on semi skimmed milk for my cereal, I drink herbal teas so don't need a huge amount.

I have 23 daily points and 35 weekly points. I'm really trying to do this plan 100% and get it right.

JoJoBaldwin · 03/09/2018 21:58

Didn't have a very good first week as was on holiday, but have planned well for this week.

Am just wondering what convenience/snack foods/ready meals you have all discovered that are low points? I keep mugshots in my desk at work for if I forget my lunch, but I see they are about 8 points!

BryanAdamsLeftAnkle · 11/09/2018 13:25

Hi. I'm new to flex. Struggling with a few things and my brain has finally realised I'm on a diet. 😁. I am. Struggling to find the points for some things and horrified at others

I have about 120lb to lose 😥.

Paperdolly · 11/09/2018 14:33

Hi BALA. Just use the phone app and zap the barcode for your individual points.
