Just weighed myself ahead of class this evening and I've not lost a thing! So upset and gutted. Feeling like I don't want to go to class. I've been so good and stuck to it religiously.

RedRobin87 · 16/01/2018 08:47

I had the same last week, stuck to my points perfectly, didn't use all my weeklies and I didn't lose anything. I was rather annoyed and was all ready to give up. I have given myself a couple of days "off plan" and will start up again in a few days.

It's frustrating as some people lose a lot, other lose only 1 or 2lb, others lose nothing and I guess it's hard to stay motivated when you don't lose a thing but have stuck to points.

Georgeofthejungle · 16/01/2018 08:56

First weigh in for me yesterday after the Christmas break and I lost 6lbs! 🙂 I don’t expect that every week though. And just shows how naughty I was 🤭

That’s me lost 49lbs in total with WW now! 7lbs to go to get my 4 stone award!

When I first moved on to Flex I felt a bit robbed of my points but now I’m in the swing of things I really enjoy it x

dottyaboutstripes · 16/01/2018 12:45

Nice one George!
I just need to lose the Xmas weight. I'm a gold member and still within 5lbs (just) so I'm going to track religiously for a couple of weeks . I've only had zero point food so far today so that should help!

emsyj37 · 16/01/2018 15:37

Me!!!! I have baby weight to lose and have dropped 4.5lb in my first week. I am having zero soup plus a roll every lunch time and zero Greek yoghurt with fruit and sometimes porridge oats for breakfast so it is a bit samey but hey ho. I did the old style points years and years ago (2006) and it worked really well for me so this plan is very different.

summer25 · 16/01/2018 18:31

Just been and have lost 2lbs so very happy with that considering I thought I'd stayed the same! Need to up my exercise a bit this week to get things moving! Difficult when it's so cold and dark outside!!

notagain123456 · 16/01/2018 19:34

Hi I'm re joining as an ex gold member Blush I cant get to my meeting until next Thursday as I'm away with work so can somebody clarify a few points for me please?

I know there are additional zero pointed items but are the pointed foods the same as the smart points from last year? Or has the points value increased on some items?

What weekly allowance do we get?

I'm really excited to rejoin

Thanks in advance Smile

yawnyawnyawnyawn · 16/01/2018 19:36

I ate bloody cake again today 😬😬.. 🙄🙄

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 16/01/2018 19:45

Me! I started on the old regime in July and fell off the wagon. Put on another stone and now have about 4 stones to lose - shocking

Only managed two days but think it might be OK as I like the element of free food snd would rather have that than more points

I've synced my fitbit to the app and hsve 8 activity points already as I walk a lot. Is everyone else eating these? The app rolls them.onto the next day

hellhasahancart · 17/01/2018 08:03

May I join you all? I am just online so need some extra motivation and this looks like just the place. I am new to WW so am unaware of what it was like previously however this set up seems to be right up my street. Now to see if it actually leads to loosing weight Smile

I started last Monday and Soup has been my friend so fart.

hellhasahancart · 17/01/2018 08:04

far Blush my phone has clearly been paying attention at our house

V111XKY · 17/01/2018 12:14

I'm a week in and loving it!! Lost 4.2lbs so far- not finding it difficult just the right amount of restriction for me to respond to. I prefer it so much to slimming world which I always feel is so full of false foods, I mean really who wants to eat mushy peas with everything?!?! I'm also liking the app community, just treated myself to a spiralizer to be try and save points too. good luck everyone

TheImprobableGirl · 17/01/2018 13:42

Hi, I'll jump on in too - I started last week, and have been fairly good - i'm also struggling with whether to use the FitPoints or not, i'm seeming to accumulate quite a lot of them!

I've made the move over from slimming world as I need major help with portion control, which I think is working well so far. It'll be my first weigh in tomorrow, but I don't expect a loss yet... my getting to grips took a little longer than I previously thought Blush

I did start myself a blog though, so that'll be nice to look back on hopefully when my journey is complete! Haven't done measurements yet but have put up pictures (going to use these as before shots) and recipes to remind me of various things that went well!

Paperdolly · 17/01/2018 16:26

All flexers welcome. Smile. I go for my first weeks weigh in later and have found it user friendly so far. I've stayed within daily points all but two of the days and then nicked a couple from the weekly ones. I hope I'm rewarded but it didn't seem a struggle with the amount of nil point foods.

I do WW online and I used the chat facility to get some advice about why I've not lost weight despite being 100% on plan for 2 weeks. Responder said that in the class they are a consultant for several people didn't see a loss in the first few weeks and it took one woman 5 weeks to see a loss! Does this not mean that it doesn't actually work?! Consultant also asked me if I felt I was overeating zero point foods, aaarrrggghhhh I don't know! I don't understand overeating THATS WHY I AM FAT and I need a plan which will help me understand limits and portion control. If something is zero points then I should be able to eat it and not worry but now I am scared to eat zero point food in case I over eat (which I still don't know what that looks like) which is very frustrating. I weighed myself again, 16 days 100% on plan and not a single pound lost. I want to cry!!! I don't want to be fat anymore Sad

yawnyawnyawnyawn · 17/01/2018 17:42

I've been on plan so fingers crossed

sez49 · 17/01/2018 18:51

FluffyMcCloud how many daily points are you on and how many do you typically use? Do you use your weekly points? Are you exercising? Do you drink plenty of water?

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 17/01/2018 18:55

I'm on 25 points but not sure jf this is because I am a fatty bum bum or my fit points rolling over

fluffy - sympathies. I'm worried about this as I have been eating two bananas a day and I'm not sure how good that can be for weight loss

sez49 · 17/01/2018 19:04

Gobbolinothewitchscat if you wish to use your FitPoints, you may need to change the settings in the app, under Food Settings and then Swapping. You can use them before your weeklies or once you’re weeklies have been used up. It is not ‘recommended’ that you use them, but it is an option and is more of an individual thing, Personally I do, but lots of people don’t. If you earn 8 fitpoints in a day, there will be a certain number that you are unable to consume, usually the first 3 or 4 fitpoints you earn each day. The actual amount is approx the amount you would earn for 3,000 steps, but will vary based on your height, weight, etc. When I started in 2016, I used to ‘lose’ the first 6 FPs I earned each day. Now, as I have lost weight, it is the first 4 FPs I can’t use each day.

If you don’t use all your daily points, then up to. 4 points each day are rolled over and these are added onto your weekly points.

FluffyMcCloud · 17/01/2018 19:30

sez49 I get 23 points a day which I am using - a couple of times I've had up to 3 left to roll over. I drink water all day long at work. I do exercise - I've got a Fitbit and make sure I do my 10000 steps every day, most days I do around 14000.
Last week I used all my weeklies, the week before I had 11 weeklies left. I tracked everything every single thing and didn't up even once...
I'm doing Dry Jan which I'd hoped would make a difference too!

I'll keep going though as I don't know what else to do...!

FluffyMcCloud · 17/01/2018 19:31

Oh and I haven't eaten my fitpoints at all since I started...

Gobbolinothewitchscat · 17/01/2018 20:51

Sez - thank you. That is really helpful. I just hope this is going to work now 😁

What's the no count one? Not that I want to do it but do you just eat no count food?

sez49 · 17/01/2018 22:04

Gobbolinothewitchscat on No Count, yes you basically can eat from the No Count list (although there are many more foods that show up as No Count on the app), you still get your usual weeklies. As long as you do a whole day on one plan, it is possible to switch between Flex and No Count as and when the days suit you. If you want to look at No Count you can switch the app from Tracking to No Count under Food Settings. Then everything that is No Count comes up with a green circle. As with the zero pointed foods on Flex, the idea behind No Count is to eat until satisfied, not until you are completely stuffed. There is a great No Count FB group with lots of info, ideas and recipes so worth joining if it’s something you might be interested in. I find No Count easier when away and occasionally have a No Count day.

sez49 · 17/01/2018 22:28

Fluffy sounds like you are doing everything right. Have you recently increased/altered your activity levels?

What would you typically consume in zero pointed food in a day? Do you eat much fruit? Portion control is key, but everyone’s idea of a portion can be completely different. I need large portions! 😃 One person may have a 1 small Egg whereas, I would have multiple large eggs. So what is the right portion size for you? It is like asking how long is a piece of string. Very difficult to define and you will need to find what works for you.

Take your measurements as well. I have seen some people not change weight at the scales, but they can get into smaller clothes as their body shape changes, for the better. Sometimes we place to much emphasis on the scales, which is understandable as we weigh every week!

Over the last 18 months I have been following the WW plan, I pretty much have a gain (anything up to 4lbs) once a month. I have also experiences several weeks where I am not losing, despite sticking to the plan. Despite feeling very frustrated at times I stick with it and eventually the scales start moving again. 147lbs lost so far, so it works.

I haven’t used the online coaches, but from what I gather, from posts I see elsewhere, it can be a bit hit and miss as to whether you get a good coach to chat with or a not so good one. Like with all things in life, some are better than others and some are more helpful than others. May be worth trying the online coach at different times. You may find a different one who is more helpful.
