NOTHING TASTES AS GOOD AS BEING SLIM FEELS

Morning all.
New thread for weigh in Friday.
Old one taking forever to load.

Was SO bad last night. Fancied a glass of Rose wine so bought a nice bottle thinking DH would have it with me. He didn't. I had it all. Whole bottle. Dinner was actually fine - steak, a sausage, salad and a piece of halloumi. But then I had a mini magnum. And then drunken hunger kicked in when DH and DS had gone to bed. Had a packet crisps. A cheese sandwich . And another sodding magnum .

However. The good news is that I weighed and still managed to lose. Only a pound but at least i lost.

That reminds me, I did a plank yesterday. Fark me. well done on icecream resistance. have you noticed I am not mentioning the chinese I had for tea?

cornsilk5793 · 25/06/2010 22:47

How long did you do the plank for and what was your chinese?

Aitch · 25/06/2010 22:47

Quality · 25/06/2010 22:55

Was part of my 10 minute stretch thing, about 10 secs on knees, 10 secs up 4 times.
First time though, will try and build it up as I could feel it.

I'm not 'fun' that brings up an image of a children's tv presenter with stupid tshirts being happy and cheerful. I'm a grumpy bitch ugh, I don't know, it's too complicated. Bloody namechanging facility.

Will watch tomrrow, am watching SPartacus and can't be disturbed...

cornsilk5793 · 25/06/2010 22:56

It won't work for me.
I am not Spartacus if anyone was wondering...

Aitch · 25/06/2010 22:57

lol.

FairhairedandFrustrated · 25/06/2010 22:57

How do I breathe?

Hm, my sister is an avid marathon runner & told me to breath out when my left foot hits the ground...

But, how do I breathe? God I dunno - I run, I breathe out when my left foot hits the ground but am still blowing out as my right foot hits the ground.... if you can imagine it, I count in my head, and I hum a tune (yeah I know, white coat alert).

I had a banana at 8.30 & I ran at 9.10am. I quite often run as soon as I get up & I'm not hungry... I know this is very bad but if it's the only time I have to get out a run then I take the run over breakfast... I will have porridge on Sunday morning before the other run though.

I had ice-cream today at the seaside, it was nice. Had a lovely chilli con carne (slimming world recipe) for dinner which was absolutely beautiful!!!

Aitch · 25/06/2010 22:57

what, the clip down at the bottom?

cornsilk5793 · 25/06/2010 22:58

both of them but my PC is crap

Aitch · 25/06/2010 23:00

this?

cornsilk5793 · 25/06/2010 23:05

That's brilliant - I want to go on an adventure with him! Is there a part 2?

Quality · 25/06/2010 23:14

Run before food is fine, always leave an houror so between food and run though as it makes your stomach 'pull' on your diaphragm.
As i run I breathe on each step in 3's.

Is it on the right? It could be your liver pulling, if you put your hadn on your right and push up a bit then it should lift your liver enough to ease it a bit.

Other than that I ahve no idea

You are not spartacus, no, this is. Woof.
It is so bad, but so good. DH and I are proper addicted.

DH does not get MN names. He has just decreed that I looked nothing like MaggiePhilbin so that can't be my new name

Aitch · 25/06/2010 23:32

favourite stuff on tv? apart from 24 obv.

cornsilk5793 · 25/06/2010 23:34

eh? That's not the spartacus I was thinking of.

FairhairedandFrustrated · 25/06/2010 23:35

Yes, it's on my right! And funny you should say that to push up, as that's what I did today & it eased a wee bit.

But I can't run forver holding my liver up.... can I?? (tell me anything, I will believe you!)

Will try your breathing in 3s tomorrow. Though not sure will get out tomorrow, and then I have the run on Sunday.

Am crapping it actually, I didn't know what was ahead of me at thr RFL, but this other one might be tough.

It's for NI Childrens Hospice, so a good cause

FairhairedandFrustrated · 25/06/2010 23:45

If I hide a thread by mistake - how can I get it off hide again?

Is there a way of doing this?

Please & thankyou!

Quality · 26/06/2010 00:17

IO think it's in my mn, will have a look ff.

Fave tv, I don't watch lots, um, american dad, robot chicken, spartacus true blood, dexter, outnumbered. everything else I can pretty much leave!
I like watching moto gp bikes and track racing, more so that DH, who is the biker. Am a fanatastic procrastinator, love to make stuff but not to finish it. Like a shit Martha Stewart.

Quality · 26/06/2010 00:19

Oh, spartacus is on bravo on tuesday night, lots of blood and violence and gore and nudey bits. It's brilliant.

FF, don't panic, you have done it once, you can do it again, you know you can.
Are you belly breathing, try lying on your back and breath deeply without moving your chest so it's from the bottom of your diaphragm, then try and rememebr that when upright. That's how I brathe when I am starting to struggle, looks and sounds ridiculous but makes me feel a bit better!

Quality · 26/06/2010 00:21

Ah, ff, go to customise and scroll down. is a link there to the page where your threads I'm hiding is.

DukesOfTripHazard · 26/06/2010 10:17

Aitch Zach is brilliant. 'No Atlantis is too underwater or fictional' What a great comedian.

While I was out just now suffering from Overconciousness Of Breathing I think I may have got it... Ready.... Drum roll. Don't dismiss it out of hand now.....think hard about it......

Quality Control.

Hmm?

See what I did there? It's what YOU'RE doing there. Of course it may not be available.

dinkystinky · 26/06/2010 13:45

Q (just to make your day) - the plank is hard. Perservere at it though - it is an amazing exercise for your abs. And side plank is great for those love handles. The photos look great - keep up the excellent work.

F&F - I cant run if I've eaten or drunk within an hour before hand. And I agree with Q, try to slow your breathing right down and may help avoid stitches in your side. Good luck for Sunday.

Mount - welcome to the thread. Bin the sweets - you have to go cold turkey. Just do not buy them. If you want a sweet hit, try berries (raspberries, strawberries, blackberries and blueberries mixed together are a great low cal sugar hit), mangoes or some other fruit like pineapple. And try a structured plan like slimming world or weight watchers (do it online if you cant bear the idea of meetings) to help you get your head round portion control - if you've already cut out the booze it will be portion size, activity levels and the way you cook that you need to look at, and a bit of guidance to get you headed in the right direction if you havent looked at stuff like that before is a good idea.

BudaisintheZONE · 27/06/2010 08:40

Morning all!

Am in Dublin - haven't been in zone since i left Budapest on Friday evening. But back in it today. Looked after my sister's 6 month old twins yesterday for 4 hours while she hosted birthday party for her 10 year old DD. Took twins home around 6.30 and got persuaded to have a glass of wine. Had a bottle and some KFC! Just chicken though.

QT - photos are fab. you can really see a difference. Well done. Take a pat on the back!

Had an Amazon package delivered to my parents so I now have 30 day Shred. Will start it when I go back to Budapest - space and privacy lacking here!

Sis and BIL said they could see a difference in me. No comment from parents.

'ello

down to 9st 7lbs this week. 05lb off but I'm just maintaining & toning really at this point, not aiming for further loss.

QT, looking good!

Everyone is doing really well.

Can any of you remember the name of that website cheese (i think) uses that works out you calorie intake for the day ? I think it's a DOH thing, Eat Wise ? Soemthing like that ?

CheeeseOnToast · 27/06/2010 10:58

Food Focus, NDP. I'm starting to go off it to be honest, when looking for something you only get the branded stuff first. Like if you type in 'apple' you get about a hundred suggestions for McVities Apple Pie or whatever, not an actual apple. So if you select the box which means you only search for 'non-branded' stuff it does make it easier to use. You can also manually input information, I used to use another site to find out cals of vegetables, think it was weightlossresources.co.uk. And then used the info in FF, because I like the way the site works in general.

QT - your photos look great. You can definitely see the difference.Well done

DP and I did a 20 mile bike ride yesterday! Lots of hills too. In the glorious sun in the fields and villages of North Essex, it was lovely. Had a few non zone things, an ice cream, a pint of cider, and then we had takeaway Thai last night as we were too knackered to cook. Think I might have broken out even though, what with all the cycling.

Hope everyone else is having a good weekend

CheeeseOnToast · 27/06/2010 11:00

Ah but I did use the Eat Wise site I think to work out my BMI. I think Aitch sorted me out with the link, I can't remember it now.
