NOTHING TASTES AS GOOD AS BEING SLIM FEELS

Morning all.
New thread for weigh in Friday.
Old one taking forever to load.

Was SO bad last night. Fancied a glass of Rose wine so bought a nice bottle thinking DH would have it with me. He didn't. I had it all. Whole bottle. Dinner was actually fine - steak, a sausage, salad and a piece of halloumi. But then I had a mini magnum. And then drunken hunger kicked in when DH and DS had gone to bed. Had a packet crisps. A cheese sandwich . And another sodding magnum .

However. The good news is that I weighed and still managed to lose. Only a pound but at least i lost.

Oh tibni, sorry you have rubbish news, if you are in size 8's i think you can let it go for a bit,xx

Am supposed to be having all protein dukan weekend at mums, salmon for tea, and i can smell bacon....then off on the bike with dh for the festival of speed, all by ourselves.....

tibni · 03/07/2010 08:35

Thank you QualityTime - im not usually an 8! My ideal is a 10 on the bottom and 12 on top (im just over 5 7) but I have 1 pair of 8 jeans that must be a bit generous because if I am slimmer they fit!

I have some brilliant, supportive friends. As I said I have not told most people yet but ds godfather called round, knowing we had been to see the consultant, and took ds for a sleepover to give dh and I chance to get some sleep. Another friend popped round for coffee after speaking to me and realising something wasn't right and a couple of close friends who also have children with SEN but who live the other side of the country supported on MSN. We are currently "negotiating" with social services, indeed are going to appeal about the total lack of support ds gets so the extra diagnosis was the final straw yesterday.

Can't list all the comfort food I ate yesterday because I honestly can't remember - but it was only the evening and today is a new day! Sorry to be moany! (Tibni kicks self hard up arse and looks firmly at Oats for breakfast!)

Hope you all have a fab weekend

cocolepew · 03/07/2010 12:13

I think Bobbie left MN a while ago.

I'm super zoning.

dinkystinky · 03/07/2010 13:17

Tibni - sorry you had a bad appointment with the consultant, especially when you and DS are already having a difficult time. I'm glad you've got brilliantly supportive friends though and hope you win your negotiations and appeal. And as Quality says, if you're fitting into size 8s (even if they're generously cut ones), you can afford to comfort eat when in need.

Lol at Coco and her hidden frazzles.

Righto, off to a wedding shortly. Biffage will doubtless ensue.

QualityTime · 03/07/2010 23:10

Evening all, much fun had at the Festival of Speed, pics on my fb if you are on there.
Breakfast was bacon, eggs and sausages, courtesy of my mummy.
Lunch was cod and chips (which was gooooood) 2 pints of cider, and an apple I had snuck in.
Tea was bolognese with a bit of spaghetti, and some alcoholic ginger beer at the pub.
Tomorrow I am going for a run and behaving

dinkystinky · 04/07/2010 09:11

Morning - am hungover..... and going to a kids music thing in an hours time and a kids 4th birthday this afternoon. Woeful planning on my part.

May need a bacon sandwich to see me through it.

Quality · 04/07/2010 17:50

God, I bet you did.
Went fora run thsi morning and then pilates stuff in teh garden in teh sunshine, lovely. Not helped by DD2 jumping on me yelling 'BUNDLE' as I was trying to do situps, I'll kill DH for that.
Roast beef and veggies for lunch and bolognese and veg for tea, flagging now, just had 2 jammie dodgers to get me through until girls bed and then I am off to sleep on the World's Most Uncomfortable Bed (memory foam shit thing)

Off to the beach first thing tomorrow to have a picnic breakfast...

tibni · 04/07/2010 19:27

Hangover and kids music - nice! Hope you survived ok dinkystinky

Glad you enjoyed the festival QualityTime. Picnic breakfast on the beach sounds wonderful.

I have had an ok day. Ate well apart from dinner tonight which was pizza and chips as we have all been out and it is our treat of the week. I hit the gym this afternoon, ran and cross-trained and did a big weights session. After I treated myself to 10 mins in the steamroom which was lovely.

BudaisintheZONE · 05/07/2010 08:39

Hi all.

Have been bad bad bad. Lots of badness. So much so that diet is out window completely. Travelling back to Budapest today so am not even going to attempt to try. Always have Macdonalds at airport with DS. But tomorrow will be normal service resumed. Have ten days before we head to UK so that should be enough to lose whatever I have gained here and maybe a bit more.

Undertone · 05/07/2010 12:44

tibni - I've never been in a steam room. How is it different to the feeling you get in a sauna? I quite like saunas, but only if I can be in there on my own! I an one sweaty laydee - even when I'm not in a sauna.

OK guys - I know a few people have targets/holidays to work towards. Shall we have a roll-call of Important Forthcoming Dates? For example, August 26th is the first day of our big family holiday to France, and I would like to look as though I could pull off a floaty dress rather than just trying to cover everything up.

Woo - my 30 day shred DVD arrived today. I am SO excited. I have a little pair of dumbells. I've been reading all the reviews on Amazon - I'm a bit worried about all the people who said that it injured their knees, but I'll be doing one day on/one day off to let muscles recover, which seems to be the way to do it.

If I can just tone up my arms a bit (to enable floaty dress wearage) then that would be Amazing.

tibni · 05/07/2010 15:28

Undertone - I find the steamroom a less intense heat and it feels gentle on the respiratory system. I don't sweat the same way in the steamroom as the sauna. We do have a sauna at the gym but I only tend to use it if the steamroom isn't working. Our steamroom uses essential oils which is very relaxing.

We are on holiday Aug 9th and I don't want to look back at the photos and see flab or have to hide behind a dc. I also want to be able to buy some new clothes - possibly shorts and feel ok in them.

I have had a good zone day today. Went for a run at the gym and added some hill work into my run. Used the rowing machine, cross-trainer and did some abs. Food ok so far too with veggie lasagne made and ready to go for dinner tonight. dd does 90 mins of lifesaving on a Monday so I have to be organised.

cyb · 05/07/2010 18:15

I Sooo need to get back in the zone

I have been good 70% of the time I would say...but that 30% sems to be getting biggger.

I have to have a bikini body in 3 weeks.

So have been very good today but mate has invited me round tonight and she is a VEH good cook. So I went for a run just now.

Buda, come join me.

Quality · 05/07/2010 19:25

Lost zone. Beach was lovely, so quiet, we got there at 7 and left at 12!
went to olde sweet shop in mums village earlier, is tradition and killer for zone, and had sausies + rolls for tea. Going to do pilates dvd in garden now + then are taking girls to pool tomorrow. Home on wednesday.
no dates to look forward to. Humph.

dinkystinky · 05/07/2010 20:32

Hangover just about passed now - phew. Had to eat my way out of it though so tis back to zoning from here on in.

Hope Aitch had a fab time at the wedding she went to and the evil abscess disappeared in time.

Undertone -good luck with the shred. FWIW, wear trainers and will help your knees. And do extra stretching afterwards the first few times - you'll appreciate it later.

Undertone · 05/07/2010 21:22

dinks - yes wore trainers. Goodness knows what my downstairs neighbour thought when fourteen stone of twinkle-toed Undertone was doing star-jumps above them. They may have come out from under their dining room table now.

I can really feel it. Arms are a bit wobbly. getting down on to the sofa was an amusing affair. Stomach is OK - but I wonder if that's because everything else is aching so much my abs are drowned out, or whether I was so knackered from the other exercises I wasn't doing the abs properly.

Celebrating with some cherries picked on Sunday from lovely farm in Ticehusrt.

BudaisintheZONE · 06/07/2010 09:14

Morning all.

Back in Budapest. And back zoning. Am def joining you Cyb.

DH suggested I didn't weigh today as it might depress me but I figured if I waited till Friday and was still lots over I would def be depressed so I weighed this morning. Have put on almost 3 pounds. Am hoping it will go quickly.

Need to menu plan and shop for rest of week.

I also have my Shred DVD. PLan today is to sort basement out so that I can do it down there where it is cooler. Cross trainer also down there.

OP posts:
tibni · 06/07/2010 14:11

Buda - do you use the cross trainer often? I am not sure I would have the motivation.

I'm in a bit of a "can't be arsed" mood. I have been to the gym and worked mostly on abs with a some cardio. Food has been ok.
I now have just over an hour before the dcs get home and I need to do stuff!

Im stepping away from the laptop!

Aitch · 06/07/2010 14:51

back from wedding, sheer bliss from start to finish, SO glad we ditched the kids, frenchies v friendly and more high st than anticipated, my outfit ROCKED and felt great, and highly recommend the mystery rooms on lastminute.com.

Undertone · 06/07/2010 15:21

Congrats, Aitch!

dinkystinky · 06/07/2010 15:42

Glad you had a fab time at the wedding Aitch!

Quality · 06/07/2010 19:48

Oh yay aitch! So if they were all high street were you le stylish escosse? Nice!

Am going home tomorrow, even though mum is doing dukan it has been really hard to stay in zone while here as have been biffing at sweet shop holidaying.

Bought mega slinky dress today from little boutique I have never dared go into. It deosn't even have a size on it but said L on teh hanger, not XL, or XXL, but L ffs!
Mum also paid for me to go and have my haircut this avo, got a just above shoulder length bob with layers on front aroudn face.

Am going to pure prtein it for a few days to see if I can kick start zoning again, have been v bad.

BudaisintheZONE · 06/07/2010 21:06

tibni - I have to admit that my crosstrainer is 5 years old and has been used less than 5 times!!! Want to start though.

Aitch - glad wedding was good! Did abcess clear up?

Quality - well done on the L dress! That's a normal size! Not PLUS size. Well done you.

Hi dinky and undertone too.

Well have zoned it today. No exercise though. But will walk dog tomorrow. Went to sort basement and discovered that sofa is mouldy after all the flooding. Too peed off by that to do much. Will be calling landlord tomorrow to get him to get someone over to sort it all out properly. SO fed up with it all.

BudaisintheZONE · 07/07/2010 09:10

Hello! GOOD MORNING ZONERS!

Where is everyone?????????????????

Weighed this morning and scales already going in right direction after one day of zoning.

OP posts:
tibni · 07/07/2010 10:11

Aitch - glad you enjoyed the wedding.

Buda - that would be my concern about buying gym equiptment, and I don't need extra dusting! Well done on the weight loss.

Quality - slinky dress! Wow! And a new haircut, very glam (that reminds me I must pick up a hair colour to enhance the old grey highlights!)

Hi Dinky and Undertone.

Well im off to the gym this morning (can you tell work has gone quiet as its the end of term). I'm doing ok overall - although did pick a bit while cooking dinner last night, I am not very good when we eat late and on Tuesdays my dd is at ballet until 7pm. I got waved at and papped by a couple of young blokes in a lorry while walking the dog this morning; its quite made my day!

Have a good day all

dinkystinky · 07/07/2010 11:16

Well done on the slinky dress and haircut Quality. Keep up the excellent zoning work.

Tibni - you're hitting the gym hard. Am impressed. And congrats on the parping compliments - all your hard work must be showing!

Buda - ugh at the mould on the sofa. Hope your landlord sorts it out quickly. You are being v patient and tolerant with all the flooding - not sure I would be!

Had a sneaky peak this morning and appear to have put on 3lbs in 5 days - big celebrations on Friday and Saturday and eating way out of hangover have clearly had their toll! And am away with work tomorrow night and on Friday so more drinking will be involved. Ugh. May have to try the pure protein thing for a couple of days for a weight loss kickstart over the weekend - though as am still bfing DS2 morning and night am kind of worried as to what effect that will have on my supply.
