SO SO SO glad i found you!

I am going to see my consultant tomorrow night and will be starting on Wednesday. I will fill in my weight and size once measured.....

I have been putting on weight steadily after the past 12 years til it has now reached crisis point.

letsdoittogether · 02/03/2010 04:20

hope today's better than yesterday.

letsdoittogether · 02/03/2010 17:02

Have a good evening...enjoy your meeting. Decided to start tomorrow so we can do it together...I have a very good way of making an ice cream type of thing with ice cubes and a proccessor and a shake...if you like coffee flavoured things...get some cappucino...I just love love love it...get one to try and I will give you the recipe. xx

OP posts:
Numberfour · 02/03/2010 20:20

my consultant is really lovely and friendly and real, iykwim!
i am petrified, though of getting hungry!!! not scared of the possible headaches or lightheadedness etc. Just scared of being hungry - how sad is that.

I did not get any cappucino shakes, in fact I don't remember seeing any on the list?

Right: so let's start tomorrow.

I am hoping for at least 7lb loss in first week.

oops: said I would give my figures: 14st7.5lb / 5'2" / size 20 - and my last cardigan I bought was size fucking 22 (if i may say that!)

alexandra65 · 02/03/2010 20:36

Good luck, I did the Cambrisge last year and lost nearly two stone - only put one back on since then

I am seriously thinking of doing it gaian so shall watch this with interest.

Numberfour · 02/03/2010 22:26

Hi, Alexandra65. i have 4 stone to lose!!!!!!!!

gloriana · 02/03/2010 22:33

Lost 1.5 stone with Cambridge and have put some (if not all!) back on. Was thinking about starting again so I'll also be watching with interest!

Good luck to you both and I may be along in a week or so

letsdoittogether · 03/03/2010 07:18

Hi!
She may not stock them but she will be able to get them so see how you go.
My plan is to have an ice cream shake at 11 ish...veg soup(favourite) at 5 with the kids for tea and another ice cream shake at 9 ish before I go to bed.

You will only be hungry for the first three days and then I absolutely promise you, you will simply not. It's all about the insulin hormone...you don't have spikes in your blood sugars so you don't produce insulin in abundance which leads you to feeling hungry as your body says FEED ME.

Don't think of it as not eating...you ARE eating but it is from your stores. A bit like eating up what you have in the cupboards rather than nipping to the shops for more food!!!!
Shall we aim to post daily and perhaps put a little bit at the bottom to sum up like this

Day 1
start weight 17.13
current weight 17.13
lost 0
size18/20 squeeze!!!

letsdoittogether · 03/03/2010 07:20

Be thinking of you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
xxxx

nos here!!!

OP posts:
letsdoittogether · 03/03/2010 07:39

Ice cream...
In a food proccessor, put about 10 ice cubes and tip on the powder from the sweet flavour you are using.
Whizz on high power till it looks like powdered snow.Allow your proccessor to cool down for a minute
Put back on high and add about a 100mls boiling water into the mixture and then keep an eye on it and whizz for about 5 mins.
You may need to open the lid and with a spatula, bring the powdered snow in to the middle an then whizz again.

Then eat!!!
It isn't an exact science.A few more ice cubes, a bit more water makes a slush.Experiment.
Add a couple of spoonfuls of coffee powder to give it a coffee taste.
Add a couple of teaspoons of water flavouring to vanilla to make a delicious alternative.

Also, have a 750ml sports bottle of water in the car and drink on your way home from work or to the shops...you can keep up your allowance easily that way.xx

morning!

Day 1:
Start weight - 14st 7 and half lb
Lost - 0
Size 20 squeeze

I have had some coffee (need more!) and some porridge (not as grim as I thought it would be!) but I have a rumbling tummy!

but i am busy today so will keep that in check. plan to have soup at 2 and another at 6 and maybe one later - prob going to do 4 sachets for a few days.

also have had 2.5 pints water and innumerable trips to the loo . i work from home as a childminder so in some ways it is easier for me, and some ways HORRENDOUS!

letsdoittogether · 03/03/2010 14:03

You can do it...it is just that first few days...I look after children too and preparing their meals is hard work but I always treat myself to a diet coke whilst I am doing it...it is said to be a no no but has never stopped weekly good results so I shall be doing that again.
Speak later xx

OP posts:
5inthebed · 03/03/2010 14:05

Can I join? I started last week though. Lost 12lbs .

Good luck with everyone startin this week. Remeber that day 2/3 are the worst ones, but stick with it!

letsdoittogether · 03/03/2010 14:07

Meant also to say, doing this with someone is really helping today...don't want to have to write here that I have succombed!!!

Have had a very small teaspoon of the shepherd's pie I have cooked for my girls and the kids tonight to check not disgusting. Did that last time too though so 50 cal or so each day are neither here or there.

Feeling excited really...in the first month, it is likely I'll lose more than a stone as I normally do but then a steady stone a month so I am aiming to be 14st by June which will put me at a 14/16 so I can wear a summer dress!!!

Aiming for a size 12/14, rather than a weight. We'll see...but it is a day at a time. x

letsdoittogether · 03/03/2010 14:08

Yeah!!! 5inthebed!!! Well done xx

OP posts:
5inthebed · 03/03/2010 14:09

Letsdoit, are you using the CD foruma s well. There are people on there who are so supportive, they really saw me through the first few days of hell the diet. Worth registering for it IMO.

letsdoittogether · 03/03/2010 14:09

stick down your stats if you are comfortable with it. speak later...back of to work.x

OP posts:
letsdoittogether · 03/03/2010 14:10

OP posts:
letsdoittogether · 03/03/2010 16:56

ice cream...just looked properly at what I do...20 or so ice cubes..I buy ready made...2 spponfuls of coffee dissolved into 50 mls of boiling water...

OP posts:
letsdoittogether · 03/03/2010 17:02

for a thick frothy shake use 20 ice cubes with 100mls. Now..that works for my machine..you'll have to try it and see with your ownbut do have a go..you'll never just drink a normal shake again!!!

OP posts:
5inthebed · 03/03/2010 17:43

I'm not a fan of the shakes. Have been eating mostly the soups and porridges or tetra packs of shakes. Had a toffee walnut one yesterday which was yummy, but it just didn't feel like it was a "meal". No idea how others can live off them.

Numberfour · 03/03/2010 18:07

5inthebed, that's amazing! as i said above i have just voer 4.5 stone to lose so i am hoping for a 7lb loss in the first week.

i have just run a bath for myself, because i want supper and i am delaying my 3rd satchet. DS asked to bath with me (he is 5) and I said no, mainly because i take up the whole bloody bath!!

DHJ took some before photos of me today. OMG i look awful.....

Numberfour · 03/03/2010 18:07

DH of course!
