Glad you're back in with it.

I'm doing ok as well, a bit constipated really (sorry, tmi), so need to up my water intake, as if that is even possible!

DH was annoying last night and had an indians with onion bhaji and naan bread .

Numberfour · 23/03/2010 11:14

how was WI today, 5inthebed?

well done for sticking to it last night with your DH's supper so close.... it is really hard sometimes. but i have never been able to stick to a diet the way I have stuck to this!

hopefully it will pay off.

kurves, are you okay?

kurves · 23/03/2010 20:23

hi girls i am ok and back on it and doing fine day2 and feel better for it. what happens is that if i have one slip up i do not stop so i have to learn that a treat is not bad just to limit them.

but what has made me determined is when i look in the mirror and i see my double chin that is what i want most of all to go doing the lipo was the best thing that i done because i am over weight and i am slimmer that i was before i had it.

One thing that is driving me crazy is the fact that i cannot stop weeing i counted today and it is around every half hour i have to leaving lectures to go to the toilet to do a pee even wheni am driving on the motor way i am praying for the next petrol dtop that is what is doing my head in and also at night i keep waking to go to the toilet.

i had a really nice dinner today which was the normal 470 cals so i find now that my meal at the evenling is like a reward for being good.

5inthebed · 23/03/2010 21:33

I put 1lb on !!!!!

Unbelieveable. Serves me right or not sticking to it 100%. Lesson learnt, back on it properly again, don't want to put all my weight back on through lazyness.

CDC said is was probably more water retention than actual weight though, so will see at my next WI next week.

Kurves, have you had Lipo? I want it on my tummy, and a tummy tuck.

stellsie · 24/03/2010 06:41

Hi, it's so interesting reading all your thoughts and comments! Can someone please give me a rough idea of how much the diet costs?

thanks,

5inthebed · 24/03/2010 08:24

Hi. It depends on the counsellor (CDC) you see. Some charge you for visiting them, some don't. Also depends on what you buy.

I'm lucky that my CDC only charges the RRP on the stuff I buy and nothing else. I buy 21 food packs a week, you can vary it from shakes/porridge/soups and eventually bars as well. The shakes/porrige/soup costs about £1.70 a pack and the bars are about £1.90. I spend roughly £40 a week. I also buy bottled water which bumps the price up, but if you're ok with tap water, then thats ok. Tesco do a 6 x 2l pack for £1.90ish.

Numberfour · 24/03/2010 18:09

hmm.... my counsellor charges £1.90 a pack!

tonight i could eat ANYTHING. in fact my 5 yr old son suggested i stop licking out the bowl i made the fairy cakes in "because of your diet, mommy!"

i could eat a chocolate horse today.

kurves · 25/03/2010 17:28

i pay 24 pounds a week but that is only for fourteen.

5inthebed · 26/03/2010 09:02

How is everyone getting on? Been quiet the past couple of days.

I'm doing great. Haven't let my 1lb gain put me off. If anything it's made me want to lose it all the more.

Numberfour · 26/03/2010 11:18

hi, again

glad you're doing well and back on track, 5inthebed. at my WI today, i lost another 2.5lb so that makes it 13.5lb in 3 weeks!!!

i am not well AGAIN this time with a cold / flu thing and i feel f*cking horrendous. DS also sick and DH out at job interview plus i am childminding today.

really really want to go to bed but i have cancelled children 3 times in as many weeks and it is so hard for the parents to get alternate care.

one boy goes home at 3 and the other at 5.30 so it is not TOO bad. also the older boy and DS get along extremely well.

kurves, how are things with you?

5inthebed · 26/03/2010 11:26

Well done No4! Hope you manage to get ri of the cold.

I've been feeling dizzy the past few days. Going to make a docs appointment if it doesnt go away.

kurves · 28/03/2010 16:35

i have not been doing well stopped all together .the studying has been doing my head in and i turned to food as usual will be seeing my councilor on Tuesday there is no excuse really but just so much going on.i got some shakes and stuff left so i guess i can start a fresh on monday that is tomorrow it is so good to see that you have lost so much number four i am happy for you. YOU HAVE MADE ME MOTAVATED NOW that would have been me if i had just stuck at it now i have to go through the four days of hell again when i start.
i feel really yuk so i will have a good day today get some sleep i have a report to write for the morning then i guess i can see what i can do .

i have a friend that wants to start on tuesday so i guess that will be great as we will have each other. i willl have do like i did at the s6tart and post my weigh in tomorrow morning then do regular posts on here as i go along.that did help but i think i am determined now i have a good busy day planned for the next three days so that will keep me going for now.

kurves · 28/03/2010 16:37

nukmber four what one are you doing again is it sole source plus at 1000 cals per day.

5inthebed · 28/03/2010 20:04

Kurves, N04 is doing same as me. SS+ which is 600 cals a day. Goo luck restarting. Maybe having a friend doing it will spur you on

Doing really well this weekend. Made a dozen choc muffins with choc icing and mini eggs on top, and never even licked my fingers!

Numberfour · 29/03/2010 10:13

I had a bad weekend diet wise but then all 3 of us at home have been really ill.

so i am back on it again, but i am still not 100% that's for sure! i am really getting fed up with being sick and it is even more infuriating having a sick DH! i have had to carry on regardless while he is tucked up in bed

kurves · 29/03/2010 16:21

good girl numberfour. i am doiong well on my first day i still got 2 shakes to have and i am now just having my dinner which is thia currey its so nice. i went to the gym and worked out on the spinn bike for 15 mins then did the rest of the time on the cross trainer so i did a half hour work out better than nothing i guess but i did work up a sweat.

kurves · 29/03/2010 16:22

oh i am 12st 11 only put on 4lbs so happy with that.

Numberfour · 31/03/2010 09:19

i put on 1.3lb but i expected more! so that's okay. i need to get back into the swing of things but STILL do not feel absolutely 100%.

so far so good today: ha ha ha ha

kurves · 31/03/2010 09:34

well done that is nothing on this diet if you do it properly today you wold have lost that by the morning. i am doing ok and seem to be getting back into the routine of things my counselor is so nice she has really helped me.

5inthebed · 31/03/2010 11:06

Thats not too bad No4. Well done or getting back on it.

I lost 3.5lbs this week . I think my body is on strike and hanging onto my fat cells.

kurves · 31/03/2010 20:42

No i think that you are doing very well and should keep it up i got to eat my porrige now but not hungry i had my spinn class today i really enjoyed it.

Numberfour · 04/04/2010 21:48

oooooh dear! i am struggling! I am now 100% well apart from tiredness and of course I am now having difficulty getting back on track ...

I start off each day with gusto, but this Easter weekend, I have over done it completely (but still no wine, strangely enough!)

I am hoping to be able to shake this apathy by Tuesday 6th because that will be a week to my weigh in (counsellor is on leave this week).

5inthebed, what a great weight loss!!! well done! hope you can send some good luck my way, too.

and hi, kurves, hope things are going well for you.

Haleana · 04/04/2010 22:02

Hello,

I was just wondering whether I might be able to join you guys? I had my son 9 weeks ago but have a long standing weight problem. I am almost 14 stones and a size 16 at 5' 3''. I need to lose 4 stones and am thinking of going back to the Cambridge diet next week.

How are you guys finding it? I've done it once before but it was for my wedding so I had plenty of incentive (I bought the dress in a size 12 6 months beforehand)!

I'm a little scared of failing again as every diet I've ever been on I've ended up putting all the weight on again. This is the only one which saw me lose that amount but I had real trouble maintaining.

Do you think I should just go for it anyway?

supermummmy · 05/04/2010 12:09

hi i think that you should but try what you can work with you can try sole source plus but make sure that you are not miserable through out look at it as a life style change and not a diet and think of how you are really helping your health.

I am a binge eater and one night i thought i am not doing my self any good so i decided that it had to stop i started 2 days a go on sole source plus on 1000 a day and i am doing ok so far just good to know that i can still eat food it all depends on your personal will power.

5inthebed · 05/04/2010 21:14

Congratulations on your son Haleana. I think you have to wait until he is 12 weeks before you can start it, but it is worth trying if you want to lose the weight.

I've had a weekend off this weekend, and am back on it today. No weigh in tomorrow for me as my CDC away to France so will see her next weekend.

Hope you've all had an easy weekend with no chocolate.
