Thanks. Any reason why you have to wait 12 weeks? I'm not breastfeeding?

Doesn't really matter though, I'm in no rush.

Looking forward to starting!

5inthebed · 06/04/2010 17:10

I think its just to give your body the chance to recover, same as if you've had an illness or operation.

Personally, I'd wait until your DS is sleeping throuh most of the night, if he isn't already?

Numberfour · 14/04/2010 16:52

helloooooo! anybody there??

i have had a miraculous small loss after 2 weeks of Easter and eating and drinking.

Now back on plan about 85% and on Day 2 (hungry.....)

Hey all, another newbie CD dieter here waves planning to start on Monday!!

I previously lost 7 stone on a similar diet to CD. I am embarrased to say that i have put on almost 3 stones of it and i really am an unhappy bunny Don't get me wrong i wasn't skinny, i got down to a size 14 from a size 22 and felt a million dollars- as long as i felt comfotable and confident that's all i ever wanted. I am living in slouch trousers and jogging bottoms as refuse to go out and buy size 16 clothes. I do have some in the loft but am not happy at getting into them. Still manage to squeeze eek into my jeans

I am attending my best friends wedding in two weeks and i actually do not want to go - feeling miserable that won't be feeling comftable in myself in what i'm wearing and have not weven though about buying an outfit yesterday.

Since the beginning of the year i wanted to start CD,I've had so many false starts, i need a good kick up the a$$. To be fair, i've had problems with work and terminal ilness in my family that i have been unable to concentrate and give 100%. I'm not making excuses but it hasn't been easy.

So i am hoping by joining in this support board that we can all help and support each other through the tough times to be sexy slim minnie minx's .

Nice to meet you all and look forward to sharing my CD journey with you.
X

Numberfour · 18/04/2010 18:58

hello! nice to have new people on board! i really really really need some inspiration because I am sitting with a full to bursting belly of bbq of rubbish that I have had this weekend.

To be fair, DH and I needed some time together so we went out for supper last night (and lots and lots of wine) and it was lovely. But today I have just carried on scoffing.

BUT: i think I may join you in starting afresh tomorrow, aLi50n.

Back onto SS+ for me.

aLi50n · 18/04/2010 20:17

Numberfour - jump back on the Cd train and lets help out each other. You can do it!!

I am dreading tomorrow as i'm working such a long day- 14 hours!!! How will i survive.

Good luck!

Numberfour · 19/04/2010 09:49

not looking forward to today. my day is lots shorter than yours, aLi50n - only 10 hours, but i am dreading that being hungry feeling!

i have put on weight over the past 2 weeks and we are going camping over the May day weekend. i would love to drop 7lb before then.

so here i go!!!!!

Jacaqueen · 19/04/2010 11:05

Hi all I am not doing CD though I have done it in the past. As of today I am going to be using Avidlite packs along with a healthy low carb meal. So a bit like 810 on CD if they still have that.

For the past few months I have been low carbing but the weigh is not shifting fast enough so hopefully this will give me good results. Need to get a few stone off quickly before the real summer starts or I will be miserable.

Good luck to all of us starting/re-starting today.

Oh hope you dont mind me posting on this thread.

Numberfour · 19/04/2010 18:20

hi, jacaqueen. don't mind you posting at all and i am sure that no one else does!

i have managed to get through today (so far) and for the first time in ages, I have stuck to the plan. but i will be having an extra protein later and maybe another shake, just to ease me into it!

roll on day 2 (of the restart)

Jacaqueen · 19/04/2010 18:52

I've had 2 shakes a bar and some lovely beef stew with veg. Probably a bit too carby and fatty but I will be kind to myself as it is day 1 and I have been eating like a horse for the past few weeks.

I need to try and drink another few glasses of water then I'm having an early night so I'm not tempted to have a drink. Put the last of the weekend wine into the stew anyway.

Numberfour · 19/04/2010 19:23

LOL! birds of a feather - i also started off a few weeks ago going to bed really early to avoid the temptation of wine! went for about 5 weeks without any wine at all for the first time in a v v v long time.

but now i will probably have some on the weekend again but it will be an early night for me too. shattered!

5inthebed · 20/04/2010 10:29

Sorry I've not been on here for a few weeks ladies, I've been a bit stressed and diet wasn't goin well.

I've been to get weighed today, first time in 3 weeks and I've lost 10lbs! , even though I wasn't doing that good. I'm nojust overweight instead of obese
. Nearly down to th next stone bracket as well.

Hello to everyone new btw.

Numberfour · 20/04/2010 16:15

5inthebed - that is brilliant news!!!

well done!

I am also looking forward to being overweight , only us fatties would understand that!!

Numberfour · 21/04/2010 07:11

managed lose another 1/2 lb but that was by luck. i need to get my act together again for our camping trip in 9 days time.

only 9 sleeps YAHOO!!!

5inthebed · 21/04/2010 18:21

1/2 lb is better off than on No4. Well done.

How will you manage your camping trip? Soups and tetras?

Numberfour · 21/04/2010 19:20

camping will be tetras and protein. the thought of not bbqing or having a (light) fry up while camping is a good one!

i won't go overboard (like i have the past two weekends!) and will avoid carbs.

today has been hard, too. i am tired from not being able to get to sleep quickly enough last night and waking up early to try to catch up with childminding paperwork and i find when i am tired i want to eat.

so far today i have managed shakes and cheese and chicken. cheese is not ideal, but not as bad as a peanut butter sandwich!!!

5inthebed · 21/04/2010 19:25

Oh yum bbqed chicken. mmmmm

I'm really into chicken swewers atm, with courgette and mushrooms.

I had a peanut butter sandwich last night . To be fair, it was roughly midniht, so doesn't count

As a result, truggling today, but hopefully will be able to get back into the right frame of mind.

Have had all my packs today, had 4 instead of 3 and meal, so it looks like I'm going to bed shortly beore I eat the whole contents of the kitchen

Numberfour · 22/04/2010 06:47

i had a stupid blow out last night: chocolate, biscuits and that peanut butter sandwich.

i know why, though: i have been getting up early to do paperwork (and here she sits on MN!!!!!) and am really tired. when i am tired, i overeat.

at midnight munching not counting. Thank heavens for that!!!

Jacaqueen · 22/04/2010 10:23

It's really hard isn't it. I haven't been too bad the last few days just packs and protien some of it it the form of cheese and salami. That has to stop.

It's TOTM at the moment so the scales have only dropped about 2lbs since Monday.

Hope we all manage a better day today.

Numberfour · 25/04/2010 12:06

i have seriously lost my CD mojo.......

Jacaqueen · 26/04/2010 08:16

Well I am 7 lbs down from last Monday considering I have had more food than packs I am very pleased with that.

Found it very difficult not to eat at the weekend when the family were all together. Also had a few drinks which I hadn't really planned to do.

Numberfour I hope you can get back into it. I am going to try and have more packs and less food this week.

mrsboogie · 26/04/2010 11:48

can I ask - how much does the CD cost per week? and what is involved in getting the stuff from the CD poeple? do they come to your house? do they inist that you see your doctor first?
