Well half term is over, back to school tomorrow and Spring is in the air...time to get rid of the winter flab methinks!

I weigh 11 stone and want to be 10 by Easter (and ultimately around the 9 stone 7-10 mark) - six weeks to do 14lbs doable I think?

My reward will be lovely shopping for summer clothes.

My plan is to do HM smoothie or cereal breakfast, Soup or salad lunch and "normal" healthyish dinner (but watch the portion size on carbs. I will be trying to drink lots of water and less coffee/alcohol and exercising 3 x per week (prob be running but am considering joining a gym!!)

So anyone who fancies joining me feel free

Today: Strawb and yog smoothie/prawn salad/shepherds pie and brocolli. Might run later if it ever stops RAINING!!

I'll join I have a bit more to lose ( a stone and a half) but I will settle on losing a stone by easter.

I am starting the atkins diet from tomorow. I have just bought wii fit plus and will be doing 2 body combat classes a week. I'm also going to try walking more instead of using the car.

Good luck to us both

redshoesnoknickers · 21/02/2010 09:59

Hi Enchilada - sounds like we both want to lose about the same I just put a stone by Easter as that seems achievable. Very impressed at the idea of body combat...I have a wii fit just the basic one that I sometimes do but it doesn't feel like much hard work compared to a 30 min run I also have Davina 3 x 30mins DVD that has worked for me in the past...

Good luck to us!!

Me... me... I want to join!!! I have signed up for the great north run and would really like to loose a stone by easter too...! Am 11st 5lbs at the moment and am just starting my running regime!!!

Hoping that I can get the weight off as I have an event to go to and want to look nice!

Could do with some support as I don't struggle with the training but the eating side of things since having my three children!

Good luck and heres to a lighter summer!

mumoverseas · 21/02/2010 11:54

I'm up for it. Finally got of my (lardy) arse and joined WW online on Wednesday. Need to lose around 2 stone but realisically will aim for 1 stone first.
Can't do a lot of exercise due to back injury but am going out walking every day for at least 45 mins and might try swimming at least once a week.

Watch this space

redshoesnoknickers · 21/02/2010 12:24

Hurray! I was looking for a thread exactly like this. I really want to get motivated. I've 2 stone to lose and am going to do it by watching eating less, snacking less, exercising more - Davina for me too - and cutting back on alcohol.

Today has been a piggy sunday but with the kids back to school tomorrow I'm hoping to be more focused.

Think positive everyone

redshoesnoknickers · 21/02/2010 15:56

Hi yogini - loving your name! We can all do this!!

YoginiBikini · 21/02/2010 16:10

I was going to say the same about your name but thought that could be seen as creeping to the op

Can I join too? Was just looking for this thread last night. Well done noknickers for starting it.

Baby is now 6 months and I really do need to lose a stone to get back to my fighting weight for summer as I'm on hols in June. I'm currently 9st 9.

I'm another Davina devotee and am doing the 30 minute routines 4 times a week and either running (which i hate!!!) 3 miles or doing the High Energy 5 twice a week.

I've given up sugar in my tea and am trying to restrict carbs and calories during the day and eat a low fat dinner. And trying to keep away from DS1's strawberry cables!.

Will promise to try to be supportive to all of you!

duckyfuzz · 21/02/2010 19:55

I'll join you, I have the motivation of a trip to London at Easter, so weight loss will mean happy shopping

Bad day today though, roast dinner, with wine!

KimiGaveUpStarbucks4Lent · 21/02/2010 19:59

Sneaks in and ask to join.

13 stone, type 2 diabetic who needs to shift 4 stone but will start with one

YoginiBikini · 21/02/2010 20:11

Hello all. Lovely to have the support. Looking forward to seeing how well we all do

I'm off to have a couple of glasses of wine and a big juicy steak to finish off the weekend. Will weigh myself in the morning to see how bad things are

redshoesnoknickers · 21/02/2010 20:44

Hi porridge, ducky and kimi - welcome!

I had a good 1st day today...ate as planned with an apple and one choc biscuit (not half a packet like usual!!) for snacks - just going to have a cuppa tea in a min

No exercise except housework but in my defence the weather has been pants.

See you all tomorrow!

Are we all weighing in tomorow?

Would be nice to see our weight go down as the weeks go by.

Ewemoo · 21/02/2010 21:05

Hi can I join? I have 2 1/2 stone to lose but Easter seems like a good goal for a stone. I lost half a stone just before Xmas but it has now all gone back on so need to do something! I also have Wii fit and a treadmill that is hidden away in the shed so no excuses! I will weigh myself tomorrow am as well and will try and stay away from the scales until a week's time

hellymelly · 21/02/2010 21:15

Count me in.I really need to lose the 20lb of weight (10lb left with each baby) that is still on me even though my dd is 2.I started at the start of Lent last Wednesday and I have given up sugar and processed food, anything that hoiks up my blood sugar( the odd cup of coffee aside).I am also trying to do the Davina aerobic workout at least 3 times a week.Today I had a bit of a relapse as I'd been given a box of chocolates and I ate half a dozen in quick succession .but other than that I've stuck to healthy eating.Hopefully this will motivate me further! I am 10 stone 9lb at the mo.

lavenderbongo · 22/02/2010 01:04

Please can I join. I need to loose about 3 stone really but a stone by easter would be a good start. I am 13 stone 7 and have previously been on wieght watchers successfully but will be doing this on my own so could do with the support.

I have a wedding to go to in September so I aim to be fit, thinner and healthier by then.

I will be relying on the Wii Fit and Yoga as my excercise and just generally cutting all the crappy stuff out of my diet.

So far today - 1 bowl fruity cereal, 4 rice cakes, baby toms and ham. Fish pie and veg for tea. Not too bad - a good start I think!

Enchilada81 · 22/02/2010 07:38

Morning everyone.

Just weighed myself, not very happy but I said I'd weigh in so ...

Start weight: 11st 11lbs.
Target Weight: 10st 7lbs.

So far this morning I've had a cup of tea. can't manage anything else yet. I have the headache from hell and I'm waiting for it to show me some mercy!

redshoesnoknickers · 22/02/2010 08:09

Hi helly, bongo and ewe - welcome along!

Feel free to weigh in whenever - I am going to do Friday morns from my start weight 11st last fri.

Today plan: banana+berry smoothie/ham salad/lemon chicken and cauli pilaf (new recipe!)

No time to exercise as have to juggle my son/work today and it's raining out anyway. Think I better dig out Davina for tomorrow in case it is STILL raining and i don't want to go for a run.

Hope your head feels better soon Ench - have a good day all
