A stone by Easter challenge!

Well half term is over, back to school tomorrow and Spring is in the air...time to get rid of the winter flab methinks!

I weigh 11 stone and want to be 10 by Easter (and ultimately around the 9 stone 7-10 mark) - six weeks to do 14lbs doable I think?

My reward will be lovely shopping for summer clothes.

My plan is to do HM smoothie or cereal breakfast, Soup or salad lunch and "normal" healthyish dinner (but watch the portion size on carbs. I will be trying to drink lots of water and less coffee/alcohol and exercising 3 x per week (prob be running but am considering joining a gym!!)

So anyone who fancies joining me feel free

Today: Strawb and yog smoothie/prawn salad/shepherds pie and brocolli. Might run later if it ever stops RAINING!!

I have the same eating habits, i never eat breakfast and sometimes only have my evening meal, i just seem to forget that i have to eat until DP asks what i want for dinner. For exercise i use the wii fit or a fitness dvd.

thanx ladies, you were very quick in replying.
have been doing good on wii fit, 1 hour every other day, the wii fit plus is brill 4 cycling etc.....
really need to lose at leat 1 stone, hols in 10 weeks....
seems no matter how much weight i lose my dress size never goes down

I weighed myself yesterday and was 11.12lb. Had a bad first day (2 doughnuts and a packet of mini creme eggs!) but have done well today with no cheating. My main problem is I convince myself I deserve that bar of chocolate or glass of wine. I have to stop looking at food as a reward and that will be half the battle. Good luck to everyone. Keep thinking those thin thoughts!

Oooh Ewemoo, you're so right about the 'I deserve that glass of wine' thing. Chocolate I can take or leave, but I do drink too frequently.
Will be going and buying some healthy food tomorrow.

Oh girls dh arrived home with a bag of revels and 2 bars of galaxy cookie crumble

When dh brings treats home it makes me feel like its alright for me to have some

But I will be good tomorrow

Oh feck 8.4st & 9.4 glad I took my time eating that galaxy looks like it will be my last for awhile

Hi everyone. Not a bad day for me but its fish and chips night at kindergarton so I guesse I will forced to have some tonight .

So far today
fruity cereal thing
4 rice cakes, cheese, slice of ham and cucmber.
fish + a few chips.
4 cups of tea.

Perhapes we could swap some recipes as someone else suggested. I know that soups can be very low in calories if you make them yourself.

I know what you mean about a treat in the evening, evenings are my weakness too - I'm looking forward to when strawberries come in season.

Well done on the 2.5lbs mumoverseas, that's great going.

I mostly stuck to plan yesterday although there was a little bit of Betty Crocker icing left in the fridge that I did finish off .

Today I plan to have:

Porridge
A pear
Chicken noodle soup and salad
Fish sticks
Mushroom omelette
Cherry tomatoes
Hot chocolate

Am very busy today and food plan is: berry&banana smoothie/sausage salad (with 2 cooked chipolatas left from kids teas yesters)/tuna burgers (but will only eat bottom half of bun)recipe here

Found a site called food focus and apparently if I want to be 9st 8
I need to cut out 500 calories a day, either eat 500 less or 250 less and 250 exercise I will reach target on the 1 Nov 2010

well snowed in here so I will have to be good as I was planing on going shopping to day for more fruit

So far today I have had two shredded wheat with skimmed milk and thinking I do with a snack and some one mentioned strawberries so am going to have a few of them I think!!! Lunch will be soup, potato and leek and then for tea not sure yet but will see!!!

Throat is still really sore been to the doctors and have tablets to take bloody tonsillitis... so no running for me but he has given me the green light to do pilates or to go for a walk!!!

Hope you feel better soon twinkle -I get tonsilitis a couple of times a year - so boring and painful

Hubs took me out for brekkie (lovely man!) but I was very good and had the fruit/yog/musili platter thing and a coffee (latte ) so not too bad!

I've just been on the Glamour weight calculator. To get to 10.4 by 5th May (Ha habloody ha ha) I have to have 1,400 cals a day and an extra 342 calories worth of exercise (EVERY DAY)

Might be a bit longer before I'm 10.4 I think!

Morning all and welcome to everyone new - we can do this together!

Stuck to the eating plan with the exception of 6 mint matchmakers at Les Miserables last night .

Have have yog and fruit for breakfast, will have boiled egg for lunch and tuna burgers with houmous to dinner. Helps me stay away from the naughty stuff if I know I have to 'fess up on here!

Done 30 mins of Davina - does anyone have experience of which one works best?

PlumBumMum - love the name - good idea on the recipes - I would be interested in good recipe ideas if anyone has any?

em83 I tried to follow it myself while she was doing it, she bought me the magazines, must look and see if I still have any

porridge I was going to ask the same about exercise dvds etc or maybe splashing out on wiifit (when the money tree grows)

Due to dhs working hours I can't get to gym or a slimming club so thought if I joined you girls I will stick it out

I've copied muminbeds and had a mushroom omelette for lunch

I need to decide on dinner now

going to meal plan and do my shopping list, hopefully snow will thaw for tomorrow
