Dont you just hate it when that happens Ria??

Get back to it ASAP and dont beat yourself up too much about it. Good luck for this coming week!

RGPargy · 05/10/2009 23:43

Oh and PS - i'm still having fat days. Haven't got round to listening to Paul McKenna yet. What a dingbat i am! rolls eyes

GrimRIAper · 06/10/2009 09:12

I do hate it when that happens RG! I don't mind a quick blow-out and feel ok the next day, but I still feel rough and bloated today, and I didn't really eat much yesterday at all (because I couldn't)

RGPargy · 06/10/2009 22:46

It makes you realise how little crap our bodies can realistically handle doesn't it. Also, when i used to follow a low carb diet, any form of carbs at all would bloat me and give me terrible tummy aches. Wish i could be that strict again - the weight just fell off - but i'm a carb addict through and through so for the long term there's no way i can give up on my carbs!!

GrimRIAper · 07/10/2009 10:08

starting SW again today, one day at a time. walked to school this morning as it's "walk to school month" and it wasn't raining. I even put the super-delicious triple chocolate shortbread (my favourite) that I bought to have with a cuppa yesterday and forgot, in the boys packed lunches, and will give them all apple pie for their tea then give the leftovers to my Dad. Might still have a glass of wine and a bag of crisps tongiht, but will carefully count my syns.
I have only put on 3lb, and I think it's 2 weeks since I last dared to weigh-in, so a good week and that could be gone!

Fingers crossed...

RGPargy · 07/10/2009 22:25

Well done Ria! How have you been today?

GrimRIAper · 07/10/2009 22:41

it's gone OK thanks RG, ended up really busy putting up a bed in the boys room this afternoon, but I stuck to it, made quorn sausage casserole for me while they all had proper sausage casserole, and there's loads left for lunches. Just enjoying a couple of glasses of wine and a handful of crisps. I am a bit peckish though. Bedtime soon though as exhausted.

Have you been to the gym yet?

RGPargy · 07/10/2009 22:57

Well done on being good today Ria. I cant believe you had quorn sausages tho - yuck!! DP has a lot of meat substitutes (he's been a veggie since he was born) and i always try them but they always have (IMO) a funny texture. Each to their own tho - he probably thinks the same thing about meat (if he'd ever eaten any!).

I went to the gym this morning to another step class - that's four times in four days. I'm loving tho! I'm skiving off work tomorrow and Friday but have decided to give hte gym a miss tomorrow (i dont normally go on a Thurs or Fri anyway) but i will do a class or two on Fri when MIL has DD for the morning.

GrimRIAper · 07/10/2009 23:59

I wouldn't eat quorn if it wasn't "free" on SW! you are a good person living with a veggie (DH - when he eats t home - is very much into meat, though he has some fab veggie stuff on his menus). TBH sausages aren't my thing anyway, so that bit doesn't matter, but I couldn't imagine life without steak, or bacon sarnies, or hot roast beef ans onion baguettes...

GrimRIAper · 08/10/2009 09:10

Do you mostly eat veggie RG, or do you have to cook 2 meals?

RGPargy · 08/10/2009 21:21

Oh it is lovely cooking meat for more than 1 person haha! I now understand why you endure Quorn stuff. Having said that, i bought DP some Quorn chicken tikkia style pieces the other day and i have to say i was very impressed as it actually tasted nice and the texture wasn't too bad!

I do normally end up cooking two meals - one contains meat and one has a meat substitute. Sometimes (like tonight) i will eat veggie with DP. Tonight we had brocolli and gruyere bakes with curly fries and beans. Big kids or low freezer content? You decide! lol!

Gotta love the bacon butties and i love hte idea of steak and onion baguettes..... mmmmmmm!!

GrimRIAper · 08/10/2009 21:47

DH makes something at work, I think in a baguette (though I have never had one) with steak, fried onions and mushrooms and sauteed potatoes. Could do with one just now...

RGPargy · 08/10/2009 21:55

Oh MY!!! Get him to send one to me!!!

GrimRIAper · 09/10/2009 23:43

apparently he's not allowed to do them at his newjob[asd] cos they do something "better" with melted cheese

have decided it used to be done in toasted bread...

Is your DD veggie then RG? (I know I am being incredibly boring and nosey!) I find it tiresome enough cooking anything at all, so respect to you!

RGPargy · 10/10/2009 16:33

Something "better" ??? How is that possible?!

DD is a veggie at the moment but only because, no matter how hard i try, she just wont eat meat! She seems to know what it is without even tasting it and just says "no" and pushes it away. She wont even taste it. She did when she was younger, i.e. just putting it in her mouth and then spitting it out again (lol!) but wont even do that now with ANY type of meat. lol

GrimRIAper · 10/10/2009 16:43

she'll soon be old enough for bacon sarnies

RGPargy · 10/10/2009 23:04

No one can resist the smell of a bacon butty!!

GrimRIAper · 11/10/2009 14:44

I had a bacon butty for breakfast

I'm going dancing tomrrow. I am SO excited!!!

RGPargy · 11/10/2009 16:18

Oooooo!! Bacon butties AND dancing!! Sounds fab!!!!

GrimRIAper · 12/10/2009 21:48

the dancing was brilliant. mainly older ladies, but 2 people around my age. for an hour this morning it felt like I have a life! am going to get some heels and a black top with a bit of bling next week so I can live the mood!

RGPargy · 12/10/2009 22:54

So glad you liked the dancing!! Deffo makes you feel a buzz doesn't it! I get like that when i go to the gym and i'm away from it all. It's very addictive tho isn't it!

GrimRIAper · 12/10/2009 23:24

yeah, I really wish I could go to the other class she does on a Thursday, but it's at the same time as the group I take DS3 to, and I've already not taken him to the other thing this morning so I could go. But at £3 a session it's only going to cost me less than the bottle of wine I'll be giving up when I get back on the diet later this week

can't believe the places I'm aching though - there's no wonder dancers are so upright.

grinningbee · 14/10/2009 09:01

I'm back

Looks like I've missed dancing bacon butties How's everyone doing?

We all survived the weekend away, although it did involve two takeaways, a dinner out, a (shock horror) McDonalds and chocolate.

I put on last week (no surprise), but have lost more this week so I am now needing to lose another 6.25 pounds for the stone to Xmas. Ooooh, and I've gone under 200 pounds this week!

Better dash, there's a young lady in her high chair awaiting breakfast...

GrimRIAper · 14/10/2009 09:12

well done bee, glad you survived unscathed.

did rally well yesterday, then was really dizzy in Tesco and had to eat, somehow a banana, pineapple slices and a mullerlight didn't help the dizziness, ended up blowing the day on frozen pizza as we had to eat late with DS1 needing collecting from the school open evening late (crap excuse)

another no-starter today as we have to visit DHs DS, so no doubt will end up goign to asda and buying goodies (it's the novelty - no asda where we live)

my kids are concerned because I am wearing boots a skirt and a bright pink jumper. Pah, I need a change!

grinningbee · 14/10/2009 10:26

And just what is wrong with boots, a skirt and a jumper??? Actually, I am wearing a pink jumper today too... with porridge wiped on it (and in my hair)

Everytime I go to a different supermarket, I buy naughty stuff too. Last time I went into a big Morrisons they had a table as you walked in covered with loaves of white cheesey bread. Yep, that went into the basket!

We did survive the weekend just about. We were about 150 yards from the edge of a cliff, and dh did consider it for getting rid of mil! The three mornings we were there she would get up at around 6am, and stand at the end of our bed calling dd's name (dd slept next to me)... and then trying to talk to me while poor dh was still asleep! I was not impressed.

Bless
