Rialentless - it sounds as if you did a big workout yesterday. I hope you are not still achy today. I am terrible, I do no exercise and I really should. Yes I have to say it does work for me (the diet that is, not the no exercise!!!) as it is so easy.

smallone · 28/11/2009 13:32

Hi, yes the 30 points are great, I'll have to see if I actually lose weight on it tho! I've fallen off the wagon a bit the last few days, my parents came down and I haven't been tracking my points, I've been trying to do it mentally which never works! I'll just have to hope that the massive amount of hair I had chopped off yesterday will amount to something

Rialentless · 28/11/2009 18:57

LOL smallone.

Being hefty I get quite a lot of WW points.

I seem to have really lost motivation, so cold and tired

RGPargy · 29/11/2009 22:08

Hi everyone!!

I've not been on here for ages - i actually had to re-bookmark - AGAIN!!!

Diet has been pretty much non-existent as usual but am still going to the gym, albeit only 3 times at week due to one thing or another. Next week i am having to miss another gym day as i am taking DD up to my office to meet up with some of the girls for lunch as they want to meet her now that she's almost 2.

I was watching a programme on the TV the other day and they were talking about calorie intake etc and some fitness guy said that if you overeat by just 250 cals a day, you could put on about 3 stone over a year!!! That has made me really think because i do overeat by more than that, i'm sure. I've really got to get cracking again with the calorie counting so i am back onto it again as from tomorrow.

I had my shopping delivered by Asda on Thursday night. I was very impressed! They only didn't have two things, which were the toffee yum yums () and the tigertails rolls for DP's lunch, so pretty impressive really!

I think over time i will learn to remember everything and get the weights of my food right (i bought 2kg of bananas!!). I guess the only downside is that you have to anticipate what you're going to need in a couple of days time from when you order the food to when they can deliver it, but other than that, it was great!

Well done to those of you who have lost weight! Long may it continue!!

smallone · 30/11/2009 11:57

Morning all, I've lost a pound!

RGP, three times a week is three times more than me! Well done! I get tesco delivered, its great isn't it? It helps me budget and stops me impulse buying naughties! I've made mistakes in the past too, I'm not very good at visualising the size of things in grams!

Rialentless · 30/11/2009 21:12

well done on the pound smallone.

LOL RG, when I did my one and only ADSA on-line shop, I left anything off the order that I had to have weighed and went to Tesco for it. I am shopping at Morrisons ATM for the xmas money-off offer. Will still have to go to Tesco on Weds for cat food (our cat seems to have developed an intolerance of the food we have in) and nappies, cos I forgot to get them today when I was in town.

Diet non-existent here too was meant to be on it again today, but had to go out early and missed breakfast, late back for lunch and DH wanted soup and fresh bread... Didn't make the "run" last night either as it was throwing down (on flood alert apparently)

Won't lose my stone by xmas. Am on the look-out for stretchy trousers and a nice top for x,as day (going to Dsis's for lunch, so there will be loads of food, drink and choccies. No xmas parties to go to though, so I could limit the damage if I try

RG - did your colleagues meet DD when she was tiny and want to see how she's grown, or did they not want to meet her til she was 2? Have fun though!

mummymels · 30/11/2009 21:41

Smallone ? Lol on the hair cut losing you weight. That?s great that you still lost weight.

Rialentless ? I agree it can be harder to diet in the winter when you just want comfort food. You could still make a good start to losing a stone before Christmas. We have a month now and I personally have lost 2 stone in 2 months.

RGPargy ? I think 3 times a week at the gym is great. You put me to shame! That is scary that by overeating by only 250 cals a day you could put on so much weight. No wonder I have so much to lose. That?s great about Asda, I find with Tesco I always have lots missing.

I had weigh in today. I only lost 2lbs this week which is disappointing but on the plus side that makes it exactly 2 stone altogether now so I am pleased about that.

Rialentless · 30/11/2009 22:57

that's fab mels, well done

mummymels · 01/12/2009 22:41

Thanks Rialentless. How are things with you today?

RGPargy · 01/12/2009 23:37

Well done Mels!! Any loss is a loss better than my (non-existent) loss!

Ria - my work colleagues had met DD when she was a couple of months old and wanted to meet her when she was older. Well actually it was just one of my colleagues who were desperate to meet her so i said i would bring her up. Bit of a headache as i decided to go without the buggy and use the meitai instead and seeing as she loves her buggy but is pretty much on babywearing strike at the moment, i guess i was a bit dim lol. The only good thing is that i didn't have any hassle on the tube re negotiating steps etc but she didn't enjoy being carried and all the winter clobber didn't help either!!

I had a lovely pizza at pizza express today (ham, mushroom and olives) and a small glass of wine and felt so stressed by the time i got home, i have just drank a whole bottle of wine to myself (yes, a WHOLE bottle!!) plus i have had 2 bagels, half a packet of choc buttons, half a large bag of toffee popcorn, half a bag of spicy rice cracker mix things and 3 slices of terry's choc orange. And here i am wondering why i'm so fat!! DP is working away so i have no one to discipline me about what i should or shouldn't eat. I didn't have a proper dinner tonight either, which is probably why i've sat here and pigged out!

mummymels · 02/12/2009 20:42

Thanks RGPargy

That's good that the trip to work went well but the journey sounds quite stressful. I used to work in central London but haven't done for a few years now and couldn't imagine going into London every day again and that's on my own let alone taking a small child with me so good on you for doing it.

Sometimes you need a treat day I think. Tomorrow is another day and you must have needed a small break today. Don't beat yourself up about it. It's only natural sometimes.

Rialentless · 02/12/2009 23:11

sounds a good night RG I don't like bagels though. I have never been to pizza express. We had roast beef and yorkshire puds tonight - DS2 said what he would really like would be a special tea where we all ate together cooked by Daddy. Do that's what we had (although DH buggered off to work straight afterwards)

the whole idea of going to London fills me with dread. I get stressed out in York I did go once with Dsis when I was about 14, we got the train from Guildford. I was terrified on the train down from York to Kings Cross. Country Bumpkin, me?

diet non-existent here, am frantic with the pre-xmas cleaning. Should be good exercise?

RGPargy · 03/12/2009 00:10

I completely hate london lol. I only work there 2 days a week now and that's enough! The only reason i work in london in the first place is because of the money. I absolutely refuse to be a slave in a local firm and get paid a pittance for it, when i could be onto a cushy number in London, doing less (i.e. having departments for everything!) and earning probably about 3 times as much. I do want to give it up soon tho i think. I am thinking of maybe working in a creche/nursery. Funny - i NEVER thought i'd say that but i love the innocence in the actions and faces of the kids that are DD's age and younger.

mummymels · 03/12/2009 21:18

Rialentless - it's nice for all the family to sit down together sometimes isn't it. Hope you enjoyed your meal which sounds yummy.

RGPargy - I think your priorities change when you have children don't they.

RGPargy · 04/12/2009 12:48

DP is back home tonight! woohoo!! That means more wine and probably a takeaway so no dieting today and then tomorrow is DD's birthday so that'll involve cake. On tuesday my friends are coming over with their LOs which will involve more cake and nibbles in celebration of DD's birthday.

Rialentless · 04/12/2009 15:54

RG - enjoy! I'm 100% on-plan today (but I've only had one meal so far...)

mels, DH is a chef, so chances to eat as a family are very few and far between. It was nice to have some family time for a change, not that it was for long. Am dreading christmas morning.

mummymels · 04/12/2009 21:44

RGPargy - you have a lovely week ahead with lots of celebrating. Happy birthday to your DD. That must be lovely having DP back again too.

Rialentless - is your DH working on Christmas Day too? That must be hard. Does he work really unsociable hours?

Rialentless · 05/12/2009 22:42

This year DH is working christmas day. I don't think he did last year, and the 2 years before he was recovering from an operation, so we have been lucky recently. Last time he worked xmas he went off really early in the morning and wasn't home til after the boys were in bed. It is pretty unsociable hours, and he's never here when I could do with him (bedtime, mealtimes etc). Am thinking I might invite my parents over to see the kids open their prezzies, it's not the same to watch them open them when I've wrapped them!

Hope you enjoyed your takeaway RG

mummymels · 07/12/2009 22:01

That must be so hard Rialentless with DH working such unsociable hours. Are your family nearby?

I am very excited. I had weigh in today and have lost 6lbs. My biggest weekly loss since week 1 when I lost 7lbs. Woo hoo, I am very excited. This diet is so easy! I never thought it would be but it is.

Rialentless · 07/12/2009 23:34

well done mels that's brilliant!!!

Luckily my parents live round the corner (I couldn't manage without them and I see them usually at least once a day, except when they're off enjoying their retirement) and my eldest Dsis lives in the next town. My middle Dsis lives in NZ!

diet non-existent yet again here My aunt died and I have lost the plot a bit

mummymels · 08/12/2009 20:55

I am so sorry about your aunt, big hugs. Dieting must be the last thing on your mind right now.

RGPargy · 08/12/2009 21:43

Ria - so sorry about your aunt It's really pants that DH is working xmas day too

Mels - wow, well done! What plan are you on again? (forgive my sieve-like brain).

Rialentless · 08/12/2009 22:06

thanks.

happy birthday to your DD RG

mummymels · 09/12/2009 22:12

Don't worry RGPargy, my brain is a sieve too. I think it is part and parcel of having children!

I'm on Go Lower.

Rialentless · 11/12/2009 00:39

the food looks fairly nice mels (just googled it cos I'm nosey) If I was on my own that would be near-perfect for me!

But as DH and the kids need feeding too , I'm back on Rosemary Conley tomorrow. Mainly because I know the first week gives a good loss, and my smart black trousers are a bit tight. My head is not in the right place for SW, what with the funeral and christmas stresses, but I am thinking I need to take some sort of control of my eating and drinking. If I can give it 75% between now and christmas... and try and get back on straight after boxing day... I will look on it as a kind of detox, although I plan to have wine on Tuesday evening as I have the funeral followed by DS1s carol concert!
one thing is for sure, everything I do between now and christmas will be at manic speed! Is that exercising?

bedtime!
