Dunno mate - on mat leave and have wiped all memories from brain

Roses chocolates seem to ring a bell though.......

It can work in your favour though, we get 1x30 min break in a 12 hour shift. And often that might not happen/be disturbed/be very late in the day. Too knackered once home, so it can lead to reduced calorie intake on days worked. Always a positive even on the shift from hell

oneopinionatedmother · 09/08/2009 23:48

bugger. we have choccies in work, right next to my desk.

PatTheHammer · 10/08/2009 08:23

Morning all!

Welcome, oneopinionatedmother! Respect at your 2.5mile walk! Think I am going to manage a paltry 1.5miles at the park today. Think I need a pedometer thing as I am unsure about distance. I know the town centre is 0.6 miles away, so to walk there and back is just over a mile.

Right.......so weighed in this morning and 5lbs heavier than I thought . this means I must have put on 5lbs since I last weighed a few weeks ago .

So 12 stone 5lbs . Still need to lose 2 stone as 10.5 is still within healthy BMI for my height. I will wrorry about the rest if I ever get there!

Had my breakfast, although not the yoghurt yet as saving that for a treat about 9am.

Hope everyone else ok this morning

Cracking start. Oh and I had a peanut butter and jam sarnie for brekfast. Arse.

missjackson · 10/08/2009 10:09

Wanted to wish you all good luck - and also to remind you that non-diet-related news and gossip must be saved for the Jan 09 thread! [very stern face]

treedelivery · 10/08/2009 10:12

Duly noted

PatTheHammer · 10/08/2009 10:44

ROFL at feeder. Not pc to but rofl anyway

LenniEd · 10/08/2009 11:15

11.11 and had one slice of raisin toast and am still tapping my fingers at desk waiting for a cuppa. Raisin toast not the best start to a diet but DH made it and brought it to me so couldn't refuse, and they are weeny slices.

Keep drinking the tea Pat if we put a pin in you will tea leak out of the hole?

Welcome oneopinionatedmother - nice to have you on board.

DSis has just arrived so off to politely decline her tasty cakes and gossip.

Im no thinner!!

This diet is broken. I want a refund.

PatTheHammer · 10/08/2009 12:31

Yet another cup of tea and lunch later:

Had a tortilla wrap with reduced fat Houmous, lettuce and tomoaoes. Few grapes and slices of pineapple to follow. Really had to resist picking at the kids rolls .

Think I'll pop to sainsburys before the park and bank and get some skimmed milk and low fat spread. Won't make much difference a s I don't have a lot of milk but the calorie difference might add up to an extra new potatoe or something.

Got some Quorn burgers out for tea. Won't have wedges like DH but will have either sweet potato mash or a small baked spud.

LOL at Tree

tinkisback · 10/08/2009 12:39

hi

just had lunch - glass of apple juice, cheese and salad cream sandwich, half a bag of skips and a cadburys freddo

tinkisback · 10/08/2009 12:40

will be having quorn here 2 quorn mince will have with spagetti

stripeywoollenhat · 10/08/2009 19:38

so have you all weighed yourselves? think it'll be wednesday before i get to the gym, am already at the idea of actually knowing my weight. had bmi of 24 before pregnancy, think it's probably more like 48 now

but have refrained from picking all day (weetabix with banana for breakfast and a cup of black coffee, slice of bread with a piece of cheese for lunch, two cups of tea with semi-skimmed milk). will be veg stirfry for dinner, and a small glass of wine.

i actually feel quite virtuous, but we'll see how the post dinner chocolate urge goes before actually hitting smug...

PatTheHammer · 10/08/2009 20:38

Ok, had quorn burgers with rice and veg for tea and feel quite full. Snacked on cucumber and watermelon this afternoon and had 1 glass of squash.

Bought some skimmed milk and more fruit.

Stripey sounds like you have done well.

Tink, cheese sandwiches and skips......I wish I could eat that and lose weight but sadly not for me, I have to be hardcore or nothing shifts!

dol1y · 10/08/2009 20:41

OK - day's intake:

small bowl shreddies, ss milk and cup tea with ss milk, handful grapes, courgette and chorizo omlette (small) and yoghurt, 2 cups tea (ss milk), beef and veg stew with green beans and v small baked pot, medium glass of wine

So not exactly 'diet' food but stayed away from too many snacks. Feelin quite good except the vino which will be the hardest to give up.

Initial weigh in: 11st 11lbs

qumps · 10/08/2009 21:00

Qumps - ds born dec 19th (slight head start for me) goal - 7lb
Well if the banter stays this good it will be the most fun diet ever! Need to lose for a hen weekend at the end of September involving a spa and lots of under 30s with no children.
Going to gym tomorrow so will weigh in then. Happy to use my PE teacher hat to advise if wanted.
Today eaten bowl of mini weetabix, 2 bananas, jacket pot with taziki and salad, half a hot cross bun, 1 square g&b (can't guarantee that it won't be 2 before bedtime) and chicken fajitas to come for dinner. Walked about 2 miles but only with ds2 not the big weight of ds1. Actually ds1 a small fry and ds2 possibly nearly weighs as much... P&T like a tank though, especially with all the shopping I usually have attached
My diet tips from friends are g&b dark dark chocolate as a treat to starve off cravings and nairns oatcakes. The fruit ones actually taste like biscuits rather than cardboard

qumps · 10/08/2009 21:01

dolly1 I thought you did brilliantly

qumps · 10/08/2009 21:03

And you Pat Tree and Dog ..... aren't you supposed to be the leaders sorting the rest of us out?!

PatTheHammer · 10/08/2009 21:09

qumps bought some G&Bs today, planning on having it later in the week when I'm bored of yoghurt/fuit/ice-lolly for pudding.
Sounds like a good day. I did walk to town to the bank so just over a mile there and back. MUST do more exercise tomorrow.

dol1y great start . Think small glass of wine is acceptable most days if it keeps you going!

LenniEd · 10/08/2009 21:21

I've not done so well - will list food later as entertaining DSis now but gave in to her cake but meals were relatively healthy and no other snacks. Off for a big trip out tomorrow so hopefully lots of walking.

Well done Dol1y, Pat and stripey - am of your restraint.

Qumps - more tips please
