Even veg curry thats tinned counts towards your 5 a dy pelvic! btw just lurked on the thread about car crashing from nervous nutty and nboticed you on there, did you pass your test recently? I am also a late learner, only passed 18 mths ago......no crashes yet, lots of bloody stupid dumb-ass manouveres though

Beauregard · 22/08/2009 21:06

Phew thank heavens pat
Yes i did pass recently Dec 07 ,i had a lot of support on here(had a very long thread for learners) and it was mn that actually encouraged me to even book my lessons.

PatTheHammer · 22/08/2009 21:20

Oh good on you! I am so glad I did it now as I have 2 DC's and would have been a nightmare having 2 and no transport! I am right in the country with crappy bus service but right near the M5 so now I can drive I love hopping on and off the motorway and visiting places! When I just had DD it never seemed much of a priority and I only learnt because the colleague that used to give me a lift home from work decided to leave and I was stuck for a lift......expensive though innit!

Beauregard · 22/08/2009 21:26

yes it is expensive,my power steering is on the way out .

I am yet to drive an the motorway ,i just tootle round town and school run and work.I take little steps with it tbh as i am still nervous and not good at parking.I do enjoy the sense of freedom it gives me though.

RawChocolate · 22/08/2009 21:28

Congrats Pat and Pelvic for passing your driving tests Also doing really well with your eating too, nice one (though prob best to eat before you get the shakes pelvic )It is weird how you do feel hungrier after eating sometimes.

Better day today

Break - smoothie
lunch - salady bits
Tea - yesterdays leftover spag bol

Loads of water.

Small bike ride/10 mins on stepper

Pat, bike rides are the way forward, hate running. Vanilla yog and blueberries sounds yum, will try next week.

Beauregard · 22/08/2009 21:31

Thanks

That is hardly anything Raw,think i would faint if i only ate that
Bike ride good idea,i need a bike .

PatTheHammer · 22/08/2009 21:33

RawChoc- Yeo Valley do a great fat-free vanilla yoghurt, its delicious and Sainsburys have bluberries for £1. You have been very healthy today!

Pelvic- Strangely I feel more confident on motorways, DH took me out on the M5 the weekend after I passed and I loved it! Have done a trek down to mums that involved 3 motorways and been on the M6 and M40! ohhhhh, get me

Maybe I like the motorway asyou don't have to park

DD's pre-school run also been good for me as lots of twisty country lanes....I have gone from timid to quite aggressive especially when my right of way!

newspaperdelivery · 22/08/2009 21:34

I'm not telling you what I have and am eating.

Yay for driving tests Pat and Pelvic.

PatTheHammer · 22/08/2009 21:37

Wooop, yeah 18 months is a long time ago but I am still ridiculously proud, esp as I passed first time with only 6 minors .

Anyway, spill about the food girly, we are no-judgey on here

Beauregard · 22/08/2009 21:38
PatTheHammer · 22/08/2009 21:39

Yep, getting there but still can't park for shit!

Alright at actual parking spaces now but side of the road......forget it!

Beauregard · 22/08/2009 21:39

Pat 1st time for me as well and 3 minors.

PatTheHammer · 22/08/2009 21:41

Oh 3 minors, you must be very good then! I stalled at traffic lights on way back to test centre and collected a few then

newspaperdelivery · 22/08/2009 21:43

Portion of chips

See......not judging! Just jealous of the pizza......and chips.......and cakes!

Dog- You better have a grape or something or the fruit and veg police will be round

Beauregard · 22/08/2009 21:53

Or half a grape

Beauregard · 22/08/2009 21:54

Pat i was so nervous on test that the examiner told me to loosen my grip on the wheel lol.

newspaperdelivery · 22/08/2009 21:55

Yead Dog, I had vitamin laden peppers on my pizza.

Have banoffee pie in fridge. Can't though, too much dairy

PatTheHammer · 22/08/2009 21:56

Dog- Jamie Oliver called, he wants your recipe for potato sarnies for his new cookbook

I used to grip the wheel so tight my hands really hurt for the first few months!

The weekend diet disaster bus chugs on.....

Apple
Pannini
.5 litre orange juice [nearly all in one gulp!]
Tea

This eve

all-can-eat- Chinese. And I can eat alot!

But for the weight. Have a long way to go mentally before I take this seriously enough.

PatTheHammer · 23/08/2009 17:33

News-Chinese can be very healthy if you choose the right things. Avoid anything deep fried/egg-fried or in a sticky sauce and you should be ok!

Today we went to IL's for a roast so not great although tried to control myself by filling up with veggies and fruit.

Bowl muesli with SS milk (seem to be eating less at brekker and don't need toast every morning so thats good).
Small glass oj
Apple and raspberry J20
Huge plate of salmon and veggies (but only 1 roast potato, 1 parsnip and NO yorkshire!!)
Small slice of toffee pavlova, bulked up with loads of mango, grapes and strawberries.
3 cups of pep tea

Exercise= NONE! need to shift my arse I think!
