does anyone know what happens now? I have done my first day of Extra Easy. If I want a snack tonight (where I would maybe have had a mugshot/low fat supernoodle/SW chips) can I still have a green snack? or do i have to spend my syns on something?

WallOfSilence · 12/01/2009 20:25

I think you have to snack on superfree foods only or use your syns! Sorry 4 short answer, on mobile! Will log on later.

MyTakenIdentity · 12/01/2009 21:12

thanks wallofsilence, that's a bit of a blow. maybe this isn't going to work as well for me as the old way...

curlydolly · 12/01/2009 21:31

Hi all. I've just started SW last week so avidly reading posts on here. My first group visit was when they announced extra easy so I ended up really confused. I decided to do red/green for a few days to get my head round it but now trying extra easy. I am not sure it is better all round because I am missing my HEb snacks. On the otherhand when you are cooking for the rest of the family it makes things a bit easier. I suppose you can't have it both ways..what do other people think? Also I need some inspiration for quick filling breakfasts. Before SW I had a big bowl of cereal so I'm a bit stuck now. I haven't got time to cook.

MyTakenIdentity · 12/01/2009 21:42

a big bowl of chunky fruit salad curlydolly?

I am struggling now knowing I have no snack other than fruit.

DrZeus · 12/01/2009 21:50

First weigh in - lost 4.5lbs!!!!

Fav meals this week have been baked sweet potato (the one with the white flesh as opposed to the orange), with chopped up spring onion, natural yogurt and lots of black pepper. Serve with other veg or big salad.

Other fav has been load of homemade veg soup:

Whatever veg you have lurking in the fridge, onion, seasoning, stock made with vecon. I've been serving it up with a blob of yogurt, black pepper and either chilli flakes or harissa paste stirred through. The cabbage, leek and carrot was delish! Thrown lentils in when it was running low to bulk it out.

Well done on your weight loses everyone.
First day back on plan for a long time, so far so good. Tummy not sure whats happened tough!!!
Could someone explain the new plan to me please as i haven't got time to go to group.
I could do with some breakfast idea's aswell dolly.

fairydust · 12/01/2009 22:56

I was told that you can eat when you want when you want on the easyextra plan off the green and red day if something you want is of a sun value you count it as the lowest value

i.e something is 5 on red and 0 on green
you go with the green value...

fairydust · 13/01/2009 10:53

well i followed the new plan all last week and have lost 8 1/2 pound in the first week

Furball · 13/01/2009 13:30

wow fairydust wow - well done

dearprudence · 13/01/2009 13:43

Can I join you? Am not new to SW having lost 3 stone in the past 2 years, but need a big kick up arse to get to target, hopefully by this summer.

Love, love, love the new plan!

Well done to those who've already had a weight loss. I put on 3.5 pounds over Xmas (not bad) but I've got the fear for my weigh-in tomorrow.

MyTakenIdentity · 13/01/2009 14:08

fairydust!!!!

hi dearprudence.

This is a bit cheeky, but those on the new plan (especially those that have lost 8lb+) could you post a rough idea of what you're eating over a couple of days please, including late-night munchies?

Circumstances look like I'm not going to be able to afford to go to group after all. I am the teensiest bit stressed just now

MumsyPiemaker · 13/01/2009 14:15

Joining SW tonight - 3 stone to lose. I did try it a long time ago and lost weight, then had DS.

If anyone has any green recipies, particularly filling breakfasts I'd be grateful. I don't eat milk, cheese or eggs though.

MyTakenIdentity · 13/01/2009 14:19

MP- this weeks WOMAN magazine features the new plan and has a coupon for free joining fee

I know I am repeating myself but I love saving money

MumsyPiemaker · 13/01/2009 14:22

Oooh thanks - not read the whole thread, but I will go and get the mag after school run. I'm getting quite excited about it now. Have tried going it alone, but I think I need a kick start, and can only do that in a group - it's too easy to keep saying "£I'll start tomorrow" been saying that for the past five years now

curlydolly · 13/01/2009 14:37

Ive been dong SW (extra easy plan)for 5 days now and as far as I can tell I haven't lost anything. Feel quite demoralised as I am following the plan exactly as instructed. Has this happened to anyone else?

toadette · 13/01/2009 14:45

Great weightlosses fairydust and drzeus

I have weigh-in tonight, hoping for 2-3 lb loss. Curlydolly, if you've followed the plan correctly then you should be fine - good luck for this week's weigh-in. Quick breakfast here is normally yoghurt (Mullerlight) and sliced banana and apple.

toadette · 13/01/2009 14:49

Oh, just noticed your 4lb weightloss this week, Mme jaffab - well done

fairydust · 13/01/2009 15:47

last week consisted of

chicken
peppers
mushrooms
rice
bbq sauce all mixed together

chilli and jacket pots

fish and mushy peas (chipshop)

chicken wrapped in bacon with quark cheese - new potatoes and peas

spag bol

roast pork sunday dinner with parsnip carrots peas roast and mash pots gravy

chicken and leek in a chicken soup thicken up with quark and rice

for late nigt snacks its been muller light yogurts - grapes - apples - raw carrotts

Also made a pasta quiche thingy for snacking on

One packet of batchelors cheese and brocolli pasta in sauce and 4 eggs

Make the packet per instruction put into a caserold type dish or flan dish
then beat 4 eggs with a splah of milk pour over the pasta sauce and cook in the oven for about 20 mins till it goes a golden brown on top you can add more veggie's what ever to bulk it out but i like it like this.

MmeJaffaB · 13/01/2009 16:11

Curlydolly, do a food diary if you really haven't lost anything this week, although I find it hard to imagine you won't see results at weigh in. A food diary is a great way to see for the first few weeks what you have had and for your consultant to see what you've been doing and advise on anything that may be slipping through.

I remember someone in class years ago when I was going who had gained 1/2 pound and was distraught, she'd followed the plan well, had the food diary to show for it. Turned out she's also been ill and had spent the week dosed up on flu tablets/ lemsips and cough sweets. she hadn't given them a second thought but this was very likey the result of her gain.

Well done fairydust & Drzeus. I wish they'd bring the new plan to bodyoptimising online.

Can you still get the choc orange hi fi bars in class? OMG, I loved them! I'm really missing the chance to go to class, it was so supportive for me. Bit of a comute each week for weigh in from France me thinks though.
