MJB, am just about to send again. I copied and pasted your address. The first time I sent yours I did get a delivery failure notification, but not last night?

I can always post it to you if it doesn't work!

WallOfSilence · 15/01/2009 14:37

Hi everyone!

I had my first weigh in last night & had lost 2.5lb

I'm happy with that!

A lady who joined with me last week had losy 8ob!! isn't that great!

Well done to all of you who have lost this week (I'm not good at remembering names!)

Toadette, are you the same Toadette as I remember? Do I 'know' you from Stormont? Or perhaps it's another poster with a similar name!!!

I had lovely chopped fruit for breakfast this morning & have just had a tin of ravioli for lunch. I had a half day in work today which was nice as I was wondering what to have for lunch as I have no way of heating food! Anf I don't usually eat bread when I am on sw as it uses too many syns or wastes a HE!!

It's my birthday today & what do I have planned for tonight???.............. A gruelling hour of spin cycle! Taught by my sadist sister!!

MmeJaffaB · 15/01/2009 16:47

Happy Birthday Wallofsilence and well done on your weight loss, good luck with the spinning class. Mad I tell ya, that sport!

Ria, I'm sorry, I don't know why it's not going through. Can I CAT you? I have another e-mail adress that will work but it's my full name....doh, so don't like to post it on an open forum. iykwim! Thanks for trying.

happynewRia · 15/01/2009 17:17

oh, and not taking the p, no trouble.
(I love an excuse to sit at the PC longer - except the favour I meant to be doing for BIL)

MmeJaffaB · 15/01/2009 19:38

Ria,

So, Is it any free food listed from the "normal" free food lists, and 1 A and 1 B each day instead of two and still 10-15 syns. And you can combine it with food optimising on other days?

It looks too good to be true tbh! I'm definately going to give a few days a go this week and see how I find it. Loving it on paper though.

I've stopped the thinking about food every second now, the craving for snacking on crap has gone and I have drifted fairly quickly back into the better habits I had whilst doing SW before. I hope I can keep it up. Does anyone else think that snacking on rubbish is all in the mind? I feel like I've had to wean myself off it. IYKWIM?

OP posts:
happynewRia · 15/01/2009 21:17

that sounds about right as far as I understand it MJB, if I ever get to class I will know for sure!

Am afraid I am snacking on crap tonight. So stupid when weigh-in is Saturday. I am worse when I'm tired because I can get crap into my mouth with no effort! It's been a long week. But it's only tonight, I'm not going to let it sprial into a weekend long binge fest like I have before!

dearprudence · 15/01/2009 22:10

MJB - you've described the new plan perfectly.

Well done on the weight loss WallofSilence, and happy birthday!

Ria - one night of snacking won't spoil a week. You could still have a great week.

toadette · 16/01/2009 08:46

WallofSilence, it is me - the same toadette

Happy birthday and well done on weight loss x

happynewRia · 16/01/2009 10:13

good behaviour required today. To make up for the extra glass of wine and the crisps.

I have had bacon, egg, beans, nushrooms and toast and I am STUFFED!

I am strangely looking forward to weigh-in this week

MmeJaffaB · 16/01/2009 11:44

I am too Ria, my theory being that the quicker weigh in comes round then the longer I have been doing it for and the more weight I'm loosing, had a little mid week norty weigh in this morning, have lost another 2lb BUT the weekend is nearly here Have nothing on this weekend though so no reason to have an ishoooooo hopefully be able to hold that off.

Trying the extra easy today.

toadette · 16/01/2009 12:12

Oh dear, had a bit of a 'flexible syns' syns day yesterday with too much bread and a couple of glasses of wine. Back on the plan today with fruit and yoghurt for breakfast, probably chicken salad and couscous for lunch. Not sure about dinner yet, maybe a stirfry. Have been to M&S to get their 'Dine In' for £10 offer this weekend. Was very pleased to see that some of the options were VERY slimmingworld friendly (ahem ..except the bottle of wine). Got a large Oakham chicken, large tray of vegetables to roast and a fresh fruit salad (plus the bottle of wine) for the tenner saving about 9 quid, yayy!!

Really need to get some exercise over the weekend, I think staying active really helped with my weight loss last week. But weather is miserable so putting me off going for a run today...

happynewRia · 16/01/2009 12:25

need to go to M&S to try that offer. I keep forgetting.

My Dsis (doing WW by herself, no classes) has a theory that weigh in sgould be Fri/Sat - before the weekend, so any "hiccups" can be erased before next weigh-in. that's why mine is tomorrow as Sunday nights DH supposedly finishes work at 6pm, so we expect a bit of a relaxed evening... (and it might just be an M&S one this week, if I can be bothered to go to town)

debzmb62 · 16/01/2009 12:27

hi anyone got this weeks password please

happynewRia · 16/01/2009 12:31

noodle, I think?

dearprudence · 16/01/2009 12:32

Last week's password was apple, which should still work. Struggling to remember this week's but if it comes back to me I'll post.

Agree with Ria's sis about the weigh-in. I used to go to a class with weigh-in on Monday, and so weights were very erratic depending on how the weekend had been. Now I'm Wednesday it's much better because you're on an even keel and I think you get a more accurate weight.

MmeJaffaB · 16/01/2009 12:58

When I did my big loss I weighed in on a Thursday evening. It did mean that I was able to work my arse off Mon-Thurs to correct the weekend treats. BUT it meant my loss was slow as instead of loosing 2-3lbs most weeks I was loosing 1-2. I know that sounds like an average good weight loss anyway but I'm a quick weight gainer and a quick looser. I can put 7lbs on in a week NO problems and have done in the past but I can also loose a steady amount too if I keep at it.

I chose to weigh in on a Monday morning this time as I am hoping that it will help me keep the weekends under control knowing that weigh in is looming. I will not!
