Following on from ⭐️LOSE IT! March 2026. Reset for Radiance⭐️

How was March’s Reset for Radiance for you? Not so radiant here what with an injured shoulder and a stinking virus to contend with 😅 Fingers crossed that April brings more than showers for us all!❤️

To reach optimum health and vitality (as well as a trim body) we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, our mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great!
Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We have a WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable) that’s based on several sensible principles including:-

  1. Eat a variety of real whole foods such as fresh vegetables, salad, berries, beans, nuts, eggs, lean meat, good fats etc.

  2. Reduce sugars, simple carbs, alcohol and UPFs.

  3. Plan your meals & log your intake. Also be mindful of portion control.

  4. Intermittent fasting - research suggests (Zoe study) that adhering to an eating window of 10 hours can have a positive effect on health, wellbeing and weight loss. I personally have a eating window of approximately 7hrs - 12:00 - 19:00.

  5. Stay hydrated! 💧

  6. Move as much as able. Particularly strength based exercise. Muscle keeps you strong as well as revs up your metabolism.

  7. Get the fibre in! Great for your gut biome as well as 💩

  8. SLEEP! Good sleep hygiene and a regularly sleep routine can be beneficial to weight loss. I’m always more hungry following poor sleep.

  9. Be mindful about your own mental wellbeing and try not to eat your feelings. We’ve all been there!

  10. Be kind to yourself! ❤️ One or two slip ups won’t undo all your previous efforts. Just check-in with yourself, reinforce your good intentions and carry on.

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost over 3 stone.

After having been on the wrong side of 12st Im now hovering around 9st 3lbs.

Are you in?😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

Any recipes/workouts that have worked for you, you’d like to share?

I’ve had a couple of 17k steps days this week with a minimum of 10k per day and have been hitting my calorie target most days and fasting until lunchtime. I didn’t even cave in to Easter chocolate! But weighed in this morning to find I’ve put on a lb. It’s so demoralising!

I’m determined to keep at it though, hopefully things will go in the right direction in the long run.

Meal record so far today:

Small bowl of veg-rich chilli with 1 slice of seeded bread
Apple
Roast chicken dinner to come - will hold back a bit on the delicious roasties 😭

TheWayTheLightFalls · 06/04/2026 20:54

Done! One meal in the morning, then just coffee etc. I walked past an open ice cream parlour earlier, gold star this way please Grin

Keep at it @GreenMarigold , it’s not always linear with weight loss which is incredibly frustrating.

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 07/04/2026 16:35

Found you! I am sloping back in after being MIA since around February I think. I have lost no weight this year, and the last month has been filled with work travel which has made healthy eating and exercise nigh on impossible.

i cleared the house of mini eggs yesterday, it’s no longer dark and miserable when I get home from work, so today is the day for a reset. Hoping the fact that my spring weather jeans are a tad uncomfortable will spur me on!

FridayNighFeeling · 07/04/2026 18:07

🌟@TheWayTheLightFalls that is very restrained!

I'm not going to have a chance to weigh in tomorrow, so 26 1/2lbs down this morning. Good luck to all the WOW'ers

LemonDrizzle23 · 07/04/2026 19:46

First day of our break and the sun has shone all day ☀️ Ive done nearly 12,000 steps and a reasonably healthy shop for the cottage for the week. Have even brought my yoga mat with me!

Won’t be doing WOW tomorrow as no access to scales. (conveniently after Easter weekend 😂).

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 07/04/2026 20:32

I managed an exercise class today - just 30 mins bodycombat but it’s a start. I wore shorts as seeing my flabby thighs helped me to keep going - thoughts of holiday shorts next month!!

Food wise I had:

B - boiled egg with slice of toast
L - home made leek & potato soup, chocolate almonds, some left over lamb for protein, piece of fruit.
D - beef stir fry

No snacks.

TheWayTheLightFalls · 08/04/2026 06:35

Morning! WoW is 66.1kg here. My goal weight was 70kg, so I’m consistently maintaining under for the mo. Woo!

Good luck wowers.

mermadeincornwall · 08/04/2026 07:10

Weighed in at 11st 4 and three quarters lbs, So basically just over a pound off.

Goal 10stone.
Getting there.

Happy WOW to all.
Love reading your posts by the way

moondip · 08/04/2026 07:25

Morning, ladies ☀️ I hope it’s set to be as sunny where you are today as here!

On a not-so-sunny note… I’ve had my first gain since starting in January 😱 It was expected to be fair as I haven’t had the best week, and I’d really pushed myself maybe even a bit too much the week before. But I feel like this is where the real work/journey begins now, and it’s spurred me on to make exercise more of a factor.

SW: 102.1kg
CW: 90.75kg
GW: 80kg

CinnamonSweet73 · 08/04/2026 07:42

Morning all, joining back in again - haven't had much success on my own recently so I've started a 3 month coaching program with a local coach. Hoping to improve strength and fitness as well as reducing body fat.
WOW 80.2kg, goal 75kg.
Well done everyone WOWing and good luck!

Heraldry · 08/04/2026 08:20

Hi, can I join you all please.

My weight has piled on since Christmas, all I’ve done is over eat and I’ve stopped exercising too as feel so sluggish. I haven’t had a period since December (age) but every day I’ve felt like it’s just about to start and I’ve been hormona eating if that makes sense. No excuses, but I do need some acceptance and self love right now as am definitely a little fragile.
Last night I booked my first overseas holiday for nearly thirty years, so that’s a pretty good incentive to refocus…it’s in 104 days and I want to really enjoy it rather than feeling like this.

Plan is to actually eat regular meals again rather than just junk, and keep an eye on portion control too. Plan is also to stop putting it off till tomorrow!! Tomorrow IS today. That and daily yoga. Then see how I’m doing.

ChunkyMonkey36 · 08/04/2026 08:31

Morning everyone!

So after losing 4lbs in my first week, I’ve maintained this week.

I was also diagnosed with fatty liver and gallstones yesterday so really felt that I needed today to be positive.

Went for a big walk over the weekend (I’m trying to move from sedentary to mobile), and had half of one small egg. Not good enough, apparently!

I’m going to look at local SW groups, and I’ve got a search open for walking pads to buy to try and increase my step count.

Rough day today, after yesterday’s news I really needed some movement. Feel at a complete loss.

Apologies for the moan.

biscuitcat · 08/04/2026 10:59

Morning all! I’ve been MIA over the weekend as we were away with DH’s family (which was an utter disaster, the less said about that the better…).

Today’s WOW is 1lb off, which I’m happy with.

SW - 15st10.5
CW - 12st2

If that carries on I’ll hopefully be in the 11s before the end of April - a month after I aimed for, but better late than never!

10kstepsaday · 08/04/2026 15:19

Hello All

My WOW this morning was a gain, no surprise there after Easter weekend. I just cannot resist the choccy eggs 🤣

CW: 10s 5.4
GW: 9.st 7lb

I have done a 45 min full body workout today and a went for a run.
Breakfast was fruit and yoghurt
Lunch was some Caribbean Fritters and salad
Not sure about dinner, possible Thai green curry.

FridayNighFeeling · 08/04/2026 19:57

Hi all, a mixed bag of results by the sounds of things!

Welcome @Heraldry

Families hey @biscuitcat especially the ILs Wink

Don't give up @ChunkyMonkey36 4lbs over 2 weeks is a great result. Keep it up because consistency over time really is the key. It will help you long term.

Good plan @CinnamonSweet73 and keep going @moondip

Amazing work @TheWayTheLightFalls

Bourneo · 08/04/2026 20:58

Hi can I join you all please? In need of some support and encouragement. I can stick to it for a few weeks and then keep falling off the wagon. Calorie counting isn't working for me, so I'm going to try low carb and fasting. Day 3 and starting to feel a bit better 🙏💪

LegoTherapy · 09/04/2026 08:09

I forgot to check in on the new thread!
53.1kg for WOW this week.
Hope everyone is doing ok.

LegoTherapy · 09/04/2026 08:57

I’ve lost 1.5kg since starting the ADHD meds. I‘m out of routine with it being the holidays so I’m hoping to be better from Monday and get back to porridge at breakfast. I’ve got some prepping today so that’s an improvement. I’ve reduced the oats but added more chia and some ground almonds for extra nutrients. It’s great I can eat nuts now. I might have a Snickers today to celebrate! Ds loves a snickers and I only got a sniff for over a year. I’ve been so deprived 🤣 I really need to make some soup over the weekend for next week. The school run will be a challenge after the drop in walking over the past three weeks. I can’t believe it’s ds’s last term at primary. I feel really sad about it although I’ll be glad to get him away from there and the problems we’ve had/got. I’m rather concerned about the lack of school run on my weight though. I’ve been walking that 5 miles a day for years and years. It helps regulate me along with exhausting me with those bloody hills. We’ve got a brand new community centre opening in the autumn with a pool and gym. I could be tempted into a sw but not the gym. Gyms always seem performative to me full of really fit women and men who are just looking at themselves in the mirror and grunting. Not my scene. Maybe I’ll get my bike out. There’s the old railway track trail which is lovely but might get boring after a while. It’s 12 miles long. I’ve made it to the place 9.4 miles along but never the full 12 because I figured I might not make it back if I pushed too far and I needed to get back and get Ds from school. It could be a challenge for September though. I could have thighs of steel if I did it regularly.

Heraldry · 09/04/2026 17:03

Feels so good to be back in control, more at peace. Yesterday managed good meals and no overeating, today I was out for lunch and nearly chose fish and chips but instead I had a jacket potato and salad and it was so tasty.
Today overall I’ve had Greek yoghurt and a banana, wholemeal toast and jam, jacket potato with beans and salad, a club biscuit and a cornetto. Feels a lot, but it’s far better than what I’ve managed for months.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 09/04/2026 18:58

This week has ended up being a bit of a write off, too many lunches out and easy dinners, then dh announced he’s getting wine tonight and we are having a takeaway tomorrow with my in laws so again, more wine. 🤷‍♀️ on the one hand I’m a bit annoyed but on the other I think, this is life. I haven’t gone mad but I am still way over my calories but it’s actually really difficult to have any kind of treats really and remaining a deficit unless I miss other meals completely. I don’t know how short people manage, my saving grace is my base level for maintaining is reasonable. I’ll stack on a few lbs of water weight but should probably break even.

i plan to restart on Saturday. I do need to do a long run and a workout this weekend as well. I start my new job on Monday and I will need to go into the office three days whereas normally I’ll only be in once a week, so I plan to completely prep all my meals for m,t,w to give me a head start

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 09/04/2026 20:04

Couldn’t WOW, but I was just under 11st 1lb today which is roughly where I was at the start of the year, so at least I’ve maintained. Two days of calorie counting and two Les mills classes done this week. Half hour classes instead of one hour, and much lighter weights than I used to do in my strength class but it’s a start.

when I am feeling tempted I am thinking about the jeans I love that are currently to uncomfortable to wear! Ideally 1/2 a stone to comfortably get into those jeans, but I’d love to get down to 10st at some point this year. I think I was last that weight before DS was born. Maybe his 18th birthday this summer should be my goal date 😂

LegoTherapy · 10/04/2026 07:53

@WhatWouldTheDoctorDo that sounds like a great target date. My original target was to get to the weight I was when I got pregnant with Ds which was 9st 3lbs. He changed my body though and I still don’t feel as slim as I did then despite being nearly a stone lighter. He’s worth it though. Best thing that ever happened to me. Just not my body 😂 He’s 11 now and yesterday he helped me build the Ikea units for his room that’s needed to house his Lego. He’s a good lad and I hope I'm
raising him to have good life skills. We got take away pizza last night due to building until 8pm. I at least had vegetables on mine. I’m taking him out today and we will be enjoying a Starbucks coffee with lots of caramel syrup. He’s back at school on Monday and I’m looking forward to the routine and will use that to try and eat better. Eating more regularly will be a start. The walking miles will increase by 5 per day and I should be hungrier but hopefully for healthier things.

I didn’t get a snickers but I bought a jar of Bonne Maman chocolate hazelnut spread and I’m enjoying some for breakfast on cheap white sliced bread toast. Well, I can’t always be healthy porridge woman!

Hope everyone has a good day.

socks1107 · 10/04/2026 08:07

I have struggled to get back into it this week, chocolate everywhere and back to routine after two weeks so I’m being kind on myself. I ate all my chocolate egg yesterday so it’s gone and I don’t think about it, I’m planning to count today and tmrw, out with friends Sunday then I have a pretty clear run for about a month so I ca really focus. My tummy feels all soft and bloated so I do really need to push hard again come Monday

Fellsbells · 10/04/2026 09:02

I’m in the same (chocolate filled) boat. I can’t be in a calorie deficit and look after the DC, I don’t have the energy. Hopefully make better choices today.

moondip · 10/04/2026 09:07

Hi, ladies. Well, yesterday was probably my worst day since joining the thread at the start of the year. I was ill and ate only chocolate, chips, and pizza (and lots of each)! I do feel well again today though so I’ll hopefully get back on NutraCheck and to my normal eating today 🙏 But I’m not expecting WoW to look great for it. However, I’m trying to see my current weight as my new baseline and think that I’m still so much better off being here than where I was on January 1st even if I do hover around this weight for a little while now 🙏

Have a fab weekend all. I am not planning to do much at all. X
