Following on from ⭐️LOSE IT! March 2026. Reset for Radiance⭐️

How was March’s Reset for Radiance for you? Not so radiant here what with an injured shoulder and a stinking virus to contend with 😅 Fingers crossed that April brings more than showers for us all!❤️

To reach optimum health and vitality (as well as a trim body) we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, our mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great!
Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We have a WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable) that’s based on several sensible principles including:-

  1. Eat a variety of real whole foods such as fresh vegetables, salad, berries, beans, nuts, eggs, lean meat, good fats etc.

  2. Reduce sugars, simple carbs, alcohol and UPFs.

  3. Plan your meals & log your intake. Also be mindful of portion control.

  4. Intermittent fasting - research suggests (Zoe study) that adhering to an eating window of 10 hours can have a positive effect on health, wellbeing and weight loss. I personally have a eating window of approximately 7hrs - 12:00 - 19:00.

  5. Stay hydrated! 💧

  6. Move as much as able. Particularly strength based exercise. Muscle keeps you strong as well as revs up your metabolism.

  7. Get the fibre in! Great for your gut biome as well as 💩

  8. SLEEP! Good sleep hygiene and a regularly sleep routine can be beneficial to weight loss. I’m always more hungry following poor sleep.

  9. Be mindful about your own mental wellbeing and try not to eat your feelings. We’ve all been there!

  10. Be kind to yourself! ❤️ One or two slip ups won’t undo all your previous efforts. Just check-in with yourself, reinforce your good intentions and carry on.

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost over 3 stone.

After having been on the wrong side of 12st Im now hovering around 9st 3lbs.

Are you in?😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

Any recipes/workouts that have worked for you, you’d like to share?

Late to wow. According to the scales I've put on 5lb, but that can't be right as my trousers are falling off, I've lost 2in off my hips and 0.5in off my waist. Think it's water maybe as I do feel bloated

socks1107 · 23/04/2026 13:34

After my maintenance break, two weeks back in a deficit I’m up a 1lb.

I think I’m done. I’ve just worked out is taken me 11 months to lose the last stone. Mentally I’m a bit broken with it.
i walk 15k steps a day, I weight lift, I swim, I weigh all food. I do 1550 calories I don’t binge.
I’m broken, the break off it was great. Mentally I felt better. Today I’m so down again because I do not know where I am going wrong. 2lbs up I can go on wli as I’ve high blood pressure which I’m considering now.

think I’m going to step away, I’ve missed yet another holiday goal so I don’t see any point anymore tbh.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 23/04/2026 17:40

@socks1107 I’m the same as you, I think my body has just decided it will not lose weight at all. Very little works for me and if it works one week the next week I just eat and eat and eat and it all goes back on. I am not near enough to the bmi for weight loss jabs either so I just have to accept it and keep trying.

irrespective of weekly ups and downs I weigh the same this morning as I did on Jan 1st. I walk 150 miles a month, I run 3x a week, I strength train and I eat well. It is very very demotivating.

DontBuyANewMumCashmere · 24/04/2026 10:11

Hello everyone
I am also struggling.

I have been exercising, cycling and walking lots, but I am a really sugar addict and have zero self control lately.
Despite tracking cals for forever and genuinely eating healthy meals (sugar addict so snacks are utter shite)

(I lost around 4 stone in my 20s so I know I physically can do it)

Have been putting it down to Easter choc availability but if it wasn't that it'd be handfuls of cereals, a biscuit there.

I am just a snacker and don't seem to be able to stop myself. Every morning I wake up with self loathing and promise myself I'll be better
Then by 3pm I'm snacking again.

Need to work out how to be more strict with myself.

Good luck everyone else.

FridayNighFeeling · 24/04/2026 13:27

Weight steady but did an exercise class last night and drank my juice and creatine after so may have slightly inflated it... will hop on again tomorrow morning before teen and I go on a little adventure which will invariably involve McDs.

Sorry to hear so many struggling.

LemonDrizzle23 · 24/04/2026 18:35

Think I’ve had a reasonable few days diet and exercise-wise. Hopefully reflected in the scale soon. We are going out for lunch on Sunday, but otherwise going to try and keep it all sensible!

Sorry other people are feeling stalled as well. It’s definitely challenging to keep going and see no results.

Pasta4Dinner · 24/04/2026 18:58

@thenewaveragebear1983@socks1107im the same. I lost 8kg between august and December and since then, nothing, a few grams that come on and off. But I can’t get any lower, I need to lose another 10kg minimum, more if possible.
I go to the gym 3 times a week, do 2 classes and calorie count. Being a woman is bullshit! It can’t all be muscle growth.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 24/04/2026 20:33

@Pasta4Dinner last year I painstakingly lost 9lbs between January and summer hols, went away for one week and regained 9lbs and was the same weight on 1st Jan this year! Soul destroying! And it is much much easier to stick to any plan when it’s actually getting results, I know we have non scale victories but we wouldn’t be doing it if we didn’t want the weight loss!

anyway- good week this week for me. I’ve settled into my new job quite well, it’s a lot to learn but I like it and the team are nice. I’ve managed a couple of runs and a gym class, then tonight I went to bootcamp but the PT did a lovely sunset yoga instead and it was just what I needed. this weekend I am walking with my friends tomorrow morning and I will run on Sunday but I have a race next weekend so next week i will be tapering down in prep.

my food has also been ok, a few random crept in but mostly I stuck to plan and I have come in under calories every single day, nutracheck is a sea of green totals!

LemonDrizzle23 · 25/04/2026 09:05

Well I’ve cracked the way to instant weight loss - weigh in just pants, instead of pants and a pj top! The scale has gone down this morning anyway, but I got an extra bonus pound off by losing the top 😂 I shall be officially weighing in pants until winter now.

Day of kids sport today and maybe an Ikea run. Tomorrow we will watch the London Marathon and be in awe of all those amazing people. We will be making our annual pledge to never run a marathon!!

blueberrymatcha · 25/04/2026 11:56

Hello all! Late to the party but I’d love to join if you’ll have me

I’ve been on Mounjaro for 11 weeks now. Because of my ethnicity and related health risks, as well of health history, my doctor prescribed it alongside a strict regime — Intermittent Fasting (16:8, 11:00am - 7:00pm), 3 x strength training a week; and diet of high protein and high fibre, low sugar and as few simple carbs as possible. I already walk 10,000 - 15,000 steps a day so I haven’t bothered adding cardio to my workouts. I did 2 months (8 jabs) of Mounjaro 2.5mg and have moved up to 5.mg. The plan is 2 months on 2.5mg, 2 months on 5mg, and 2 months on 7.5mg. The results so far have been very encouraging.

SW: 74kg
CW: 64kg
GW: 59kg

I’m 168cm and 40 years old.

Just broke my fast with a steak, tender stem broccoli, and cherry tomatoes cooked in the air fryer. Currently necking a protein matcha. Will probably have 2 scrambled eggs and half an avocado on sourdough toast for dinner. I have ADHD so eating the same meal for months on end is actually very liberating and pleasing to me!

Pasta4Dinner · 25/04/2026 12:59

Thought I would have lost today, but no. However I tried on 2 pairs of jeans I even recently couldn’t get on. Got one up and zipped and the other isn’t far off. So have definitely gotten smaller. Still too small to wear either but not far off.

moondip · 25/04/2026 21:28

@LemonDrizzle23 I weigh naked for this exact reason. Glasses off too, which sometimes means I struggle to see what the scale actually says 😆

FridayNighFeeling · 25/04/2026 21:40

Pants and bra only here too! McDs led to a day of overeating, but will be back on it tomorrow!

biscuitcat · 26/04/2026 07:48

A naked weigher here - and always after a wee 😂 it’s the most consistent at least!

I usually weigh daily but haven’t this morning as I know I’ll be way up - DH and I had a lovely date night to a restaurant I’ve been wanting to try, which is sort of Japanese/Korean/pan-Asian cuisine. Absolutely delicious but very salty and that combined with a couple of glasses of wine will have wreaked havoc, so I decided to live in blissful ignorance.

I’m another one struggling with losing at the moment - frustrating for all of us, but I’m glad not to be alone.

ChunkyMonkey36 · 26/04/2026 08:11

I weigh on a Sunday morning, as a sort of “check in”, always first thing after morning wee. (2lbs up in what I assume to be water weight 😂)

Then I check again first thing Wednesday, and I’ve got SW at 10am on a Wednesday.

I’m increasingly less bothered what theirs say, I use my home weight as my benchmark because that’s what I’ve been basing things on and even I’m not stupid enough to think I’ve put 1lb of fat on in 3hrs.

I only joined so I had some structure and something to follow because making sensible choices doesn’t always work for me independently, but staying out of the ridiculous ideas like mashing bananas making them worse for you!

Fellsbells · 26/04/2026 08:22

I’ve had a break from tracking this week due to poorly dc. I’ve eaten really poorly, lots of bread and hardly any protein.

Also been so tired that I’ve hardly functioned due to a heavy period. Hoping I’ve turned the corner now and can get going again.

Weight is still around 4lbs above where I want, but quite honestly I don’t care.

CinnamonSweet73 · 26/04/2026 09:49

Just catching up on the thread. Sorry to hear a few of you are struggling- I've been there and it's so hard, sometimes bodies just don't do what we want despite our best efforts. @socks1107 you sound so down, my heart goes out to you.

@biscuitcat that meal sounds amazing and well worth some extra calories!

I'm doing ok at the moment, getting my calories/steps/water/gym fairly on target, so hope I can keep that up!

Good luck all for the week ahead ❤️

SeekingHappinesss · 26/04/2026 14:02

Hello, I know its late in the month but could I join you all please? I've recently stopped BFing and despite initially losing weight PP I've managed to pile it all on and some over the winter. I really want to be able to fit into my shorts by mid summer!

I started IF on Tuesday. Its the only diet I can stick to and that I've found works for me. I have PCOS and weight loss is slow and then none existent on low cal diets. Then I just lose motivation and go back to eating utter crap.

Since tuesday I've lost 6 lbs. I assume most is water weight because I definitely feel less puffy.

I do weigh myself every day and track in the libra app. I find I'm more motivated if I can see the fluctuations ironed out.

I need to start exercising too but haven't really started yet. What is working for everyone else?

SW 170lbs
CW 164lbs
GW 135lbs

TheGirlWhoLived · 26/04/2026 16:14

I’m sat in the garden enjoying the sun with a lovely glass of Mirabeau pure 👌🏼
Really doing well here, sorry for those who are struggling. I’ve ordered some Huel black edition for the coming two weeks to see if it makes a difference not having to plan every single meal, quite excited to try it out. There was an excellent offer on Holland and Barrett which got me 32 ready made bottles for £72

LemonDrizzle23 · 27/04/2026 07:04

Well I’m proud to join the naked weighers club 😂 @moondip I’m the same - if I take my glasses off I wouldn’t be able to see my hands in front of my face, let alone the numbers on the scales!

Hello @SeekingHappinesss you’ve found a supportive group. Keep an eye out as there will be a link to a new thread for May in the next few days.

We've had a lovely weekend. Stepped on the scale with trepidation this morning after a big lunch out, but it’s still heading down. Hopefully this means my body has found its rhythm again. Maybe some success will finally come in May!

Back into my yoga since the school holidays ended. I’m quite tempted to have a go outside now DH has cut the grass, but I’m not sure I want to be seen by the neighbours 🙈

TheWayTheLightFalls · 27/04/2026 07:18

Welcome @SeekingHappinesss !

Signing in for OMAD. Last week I caved in the evening, I suspect because I didn't eat enough during my meal. So I'll try a larger meal or a larger eating window today.

DontBuyANewMumCashmere · 27/04/2026 08:36

I have lost two pounds over the weekend but I drank heavily at a lovely BBQ yesterday (eating not bad at all) so I may anticipate a little adjustment

I am about to have a little run and hopefully go out later for bike ride.

Must drink more water.

Good luck everyone Flowers

biscuitcat · 27/04/2026 09:03

Welcome @SeekingHappinesss! It sounds like we’re at a similar life stage, I’m still breastfeeding my 13 month old but looking to finish in the next couple of months I think - which will be the first time in 6 years I’ve not been pregnant or BFing!! I found initially the weight was coming off really quickly but it’s a bit of a slog at the moment.

We had a nice celebration this weekend for DS’s birthday but the scales are showing it - most will be bloating/water weight, and I’m expecting my period within the next week or so too, but it’s a bit depressing to see! Out for lunch today, but I’ll aim to pick something high protein and have a small dinner, then back on it properly afterwards as I’m frustrated with the whole process at the moment.

Pasta4Dinner · 27/04/2026 12:01

80.4kg for the last 3 days running. I mean why couldn’t the scale give me 0.1kg at least.

FridayNighFeeling · 27/04/2026 12:54

Happy Monday you lot... I've been dealing with puke... on the plus side it puts you off food doesn't it??? At least the sun is out for the stuff to dry outside. Scales pretty stable still for me, got a torture session tonight (AKA weights) and planning a big walk tomorrow.
