Following on from ⭐️LOSE IT! Optimistic October & 12 Week Countdown to Christmas⭐️

⭐️OPEN TO ALL⭐️

Clocks have now gone back and the nights are drawing in, Halloween is done and dusted and Bonfire Night is in a few days 😮. Meaning one thing! Christmas and all its festivities are arriving next month 😮🎄🥳

It’s never too late to make a change, to make a difference and feel confident in your body. To reach optimum health and vitality we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great! Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and generally eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost around 45lbs.

I’m mainly maintaining but I would like to get back into the 8’s 🤞(I briefly dipped into the 8’s last month but the scale showed 9st 4lb yesterday)

Are you in😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

New members … Give it a go; it’s never too late! You'll be pleased you did 😊

PS - This thread will take us up to the New Year 2026 & the thread will be January 2026🥳

Hi, weighed myself twice this week at 74.6kg. I'd love to loose weight, but emotionally, I'm not there to put on the commitment, if I'm honest with myself. Since joining these threads I've gained weight. Got 3 rainbow and sprinkles size 18ish 2nd hand leggings as my others are too small. I'm going to make small habit changes and ensure I stay under 75kg this year as I only recently breached it (last week just before my period) so out to do c25k but had McDonald's for lunch which I feel crap about.. but I didn't have time for anything else and there's a drive through...

Emmadaily · 11/11/2025 16:15

@TheRealHousewife
I hope things settle for you very soon and you feel alot better .
I did a love reaction to your poster Ten Tips it's very good and i always think your posts are very supportive to us all
Take care xx

PersistentRain · 11/11/2025 16:23

Made myself go to the gym today. Wasn’t in the mood, can see how it gets harder when the weather turns and seems much easier to stay home.
my weight seems stuck again at the moment. I can never decide if I am eating too much or not eating enough. it’s so impossible to work out. I am trying very hard though.

TheWayTheLightFalls · 11/11/2025 16:35

Sending love @TheRealHousewife .

OK day here. I woke up feeling good after my OMAD yesterday, had a baked bean concoction for breakfast and an early lunch and again closed the kitchen at noon bar black coffees etc. I’d like a good result on the scales tomorrow!

Gingercar · 11/11/2025 17:17

I lost my usual 1lb this week. I’d hoped for a bit more as I’ve been angelic, but hey ho, at least it’s chipping away. Now 47lbs lighter than I was in May. I don’t think I will get the next stone off by new year, but hopefully won’t be far behind.

socks1107 · 11/11/2025 17:40

@TheRealHousewife hope, you are better soon and your meds work.

Im waiting to leave for the gym. I think dh is trying to cancel as he’s hiding in his office 😂

CinnamonSweet73 · 11/11/2025 19:10

Wishing you the best @TheRealHousewife it sounds tough going. Agree with @Emmadaily Your posts are so lovely and supportive and positive ❤️

I've had a good 10 days after a very half hearted October. Stuck to my calories and getting to my gym sessions. I am away next weekend so there will be treats but plan to be straight back on it afterwards!

Fellsbells · 11/11/2025 21:29

Good day here. Another hormonal pound off overnight.

B- pro biotic shot
L- sour dough and eggs
D- chicken curry and rice and lots of popcorn for pudding.

5km run and no snacking so I’m safely within calories today.

mumof1littlebun · 11/11/2025 22:46

Hi could I please join? I’ve lost around 2 stone this year but over the past few months my eating has been terrible. I’ve had work/relationship/health stresses and have been eating my feelings. I’m now stuck in a rut of telling myself I’ll start again tomorrow but then never do. I feel tired and miserable all the time and need so sort it out. Hoping some support on this group will help 🙂 I will do my weigh in in the morning

TheWayTheLightFalls · 12/11/2025 05:58

Morning! WoW is 72.5kg - very slightly down. Expected more of a loss tbh but so be it. Good luck to others! Welcome @mumof1littlebun !

LemonDrizzle23 · 12/11/2025 07:02

Welcome @mumof1littlebun sorry you’ve been having a rough time. I hope you will find this group kind and motivating.

Good luck to everyone WOW-ing!
A small loss here this week - 0.6lbs. I feel like I deserved more this week, but as long as it’s coming down overall. 7 weeks until 2026 starts, so still time to put the work in!

Hi all. So I started my WW yesterday. Didn't weigh myself but did this morning and Im 15st 7lbs. OMG hate to write that. Anyway WW is £18.95 a month or £8 a month for 12 months. I think I will need the year and it is so much cheaper.
I have a Tummy hernia op which I am waiting for so would like to lose at least a stone before then , hopefully more. Just need the willpower. Hopefully I will find it on here. Well done to everyone who has lost this week❤️.

2lbs down since last WOW, which I am very pleased with. I'd love it if I could keep up this pace for rest of November. It would feel like getting a head start on December and give me the self control to not buy and eat all the Christmas snacks for a month straight. It's the crisps. I fall for the crisps every year.

Maggiebell · 12/11/2025 07:25

Forgot to say I'm 5ft 2in. So I look like a little elephant.

readyforsunshine · 12/11/2025 07:28

Morning! Sorry to hear some of us are having struggles. I hope that sharing & knowing that somebody is reading/listening is a comfort & support.
no loss for me this week although as an almost daily weigher I know I have been down a lb a couple of times over the last few days so I’m heading in the right direction. A total of 8lbs now so def feel better in my clothes.

Maggiebell · 12/11/2025 07:33

I've always been about 12- 13 st with big heavy boobs. I retired 4 years ago and stopped smoking because I was puffing away like a chimney, so eating was my cig substitute and the lbs have piled on.
I've been on and off dieting I even joined SW which I got free for 3 months through the docs, I lost a stone but gave up after that. Don't ask me why. Anyway I am determined this time as I have some lovely clothes that I just look at now which don't go nowhere near me.

Fellsbells · 12/11/2025 07:36

Well done wowers no matter what the scales say.

I’m 3lbs down from last week, the joys of hormones.

Midnightstar76 · 12/11/2025 07:49

CW 11 stone 8 1/4 have lost a pound. Happy enough with that. Went on treadmill and did 30 minutes walk this morning bonus is being able to listen to audio book at the same time

Marshmellowbunny · 12/11/2025 07:51

SW: 10.9.6 st/lb
CW: 9.9 st/lb
GW: 9.5 st/lb

SW: 66.58kg
CW: 61.20 kg
GW: 59.42 kg

Well done everyone whose WOW today. Even if STS or gone up! It's really hard, so good job sticking with it!

I'm just tired tbh.
Meds got doubled yesterday because I've been having some truly awful days but I'm sticking with the lower dose as I've had 2 days of no crying recently so Yay. Turns out fears of putting on weight with them were unfounded. I seem to be still going down, so that's a positive!

My appetite seems to be way less and I don't know why. So I'm probably not doing it super healthily, but I can't change things so 😢

@TheRealHousewife I was going to say thank you for the lovely supportive posts, but @Emmadailyand @CinnamonSweet73 got there first but I do appreciate them and think they're wonderful. I hope you're feeling better soon! Sorry to see that you're not well.

Hi @mumof1littlebun welcome! It's the best thread to be on. Everyone is wonderfully supportive!

PatienceOfEngels · 12/11/2025 07:53

Wow...this week +0.4kg but last Wed was a huge drop and I've mostly been 75kg this last week so very happy to stay solidly below 75kg.

CW 74.5kg
SW (Aug 2025) 77kg
GW 68kg

Last few days evening meals:
-chicken bhuna (with added butter beans and pepper) with rice
-spaghetti bolognese
-cauliflower and broccoli cheese bake (topped with potatoes) and battered fish (from frozen)
-Hairy Dieters chicken and chorizo bake
-Friday night Chinese takeaway (got stuck in traffic, late home so postponed chicken bake for the Saturday)

Lunches:
-chickpea and butternut squash stew x2
-leftover chicken and chorizo bake (tomatoes, potatoes, garlic, pepper)
-red pepper omelette
-toast with herby cream cheese
-mushroom soup, bread/butter

Got out twice at the weekend for an hour long walk in the woods each time (once flat, once hilly). Must make sure I get outside today.

Plan for today:
-boiled egg, rye toast w butter, coffee x2
-snack - fruit (pears)
-soup out of freezer
-chickpea and butternut squash stew with chiplolatas

PersistentRain · 12/11/2025 08:33

Weight is definitely stuck this week. Today is my rest day.
years ago when I lost weight/was fit there was a point where I increased my calories to lose weight but not convinced that will work.
tosay is a exercise rest day anyway.

socks1107 · 12/11/2025 08:35

Well done everyone! Whether it’s it’s, gain or loss.

another 1lb for me this week. If I keep on track I’ll hit the 3 stone loss just in time for Xmas and my final goal this year 🙂

Happy WOW everyone! I’ve stayed the same this week which is really frustrating as I know I’ve eaten in deficit - somehow have gained 1lb overnight though, which is because I had a very salty day and a glass of wine yesterday, so hopefully lose some of that quickly.

This week has been a real bugger to be honest - DH away more than usual (unavoidably) and an inset day means I’m on my knees from the kids, and £500 down yesterday in vet fees because my idiot dog ate a salt dough volcano which we made over the weekend 😩 I’ve been weepy and over emotional - luckily DH has offered to take the baby out to his friend’s tomorrow for a few hours so I can have some down time and I’ll ask him to do so again over the weekend. All of which has meant instead of Greek yoghurt my breakfast this morning was 4 biscuits…
