⭐️OPEN TO ALL⭐️

It’s never too late to make a change, to make a difference and feel confident in your body. To reach optimum health and vitality we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great! Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and generally eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost around 45lbs.

I’m maintaining at 9st 2lb but I would like to get back into the 8’s 🤞

Are you in😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

New members … Give it a go; it’s never too late! You'll be pleased you did 😊

That’s incredible progress @socks1107! Frustrating that it’s slowed down but hopefully your new plan will get things back on track and you’re so close, well over halfway.

I’ve just been having a total mare the past couple of weeks, eating well at meals but letting it all fall apart with snacks, which is precisely how I gained weight, so I really need to find a way to counter this. I’ve just made a cup of tea when I was debating what snack to have by asking myself if I was actually hungry and concluding that no, I wasn’t - so I need a way to make that my default!

I think I’m unlikely to meet my September goal of 2st down in total, especially as it’s my birthday at the end of the month which inevitably means some meals out etc, so I think I’ll revise the goal to being in the next stone bracket down, which will be a huge psychological victory even if not my original goal, and hopefully get to that 2st by mid-October-ish.

I've also ordered some jeans in the next size down, which would be 2 dress sizes - we’ll see when they arrive but I imagine it’ll still be a few weeks till they’re a comfortable fit, but my current ones are loose so good to have them available for when I (hopefully!) need them.

TheWayTheLightFalls · 16/09/2025 12:24

That's brilliant @biscuitcat ! Jeans sizes are my favourite NSV.

Going for two meals and snacks today - had a first meal at 10am (last meal yesterday was 2pm so that was good going) and next likely at dinner time. Black coffee, dog walk, bit of weeding in the garden.

HappyLittleTreeFriend · 16/09/2025 20:43

Had a nice day today and feeling full despite being well under calorie count, which is great 😊👍🏻 tomorrow going to have lasagne for dinner which will feel like a treat, looking forward to it!

WearyAuldWumman · 16/09/2025 21:23

Well, I've kept below 1400 calories, but methinks I might have to cut my calories a bit more - in spite of the fact that various calculators seem to suggest that I only need to keep below 1900 given my weight and exercise regime.

I'm obviously getting it wrong somewhere.

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 16/09/2025 22:07

I am not expecting a loss tomorrow, after being away last weekend. I have been good during the week for the last few weekends, but my weekends are sabotaging my efforts! I was all set for a quiet healthy weekend, but a couple of completely unavoidable social things have come up. Gah. I am at least hopefully maintaining. Why is the last stretch so hard?!?

Off to catch up on the thread, but good luck tomorrow WOWers!

TheWayTheLightFalls · 17/09/2025 06:14

WoW is 73.3, so down a kg / 2lbs ish from last Wednesday. But my weight is really bouncing around at the moment.

Yesterday was not two meals and no snacks in the end, it was three meals inc chips and all the snacks. Whoops!

PatienceOfEngels · 17/09/2025 06:46

Wow is 75.2kg, same as last week. Glad to stay stable without a gain (though did expect a little loss!).

Today:
-boiled egg, rye toast with butter, coffee with milk
-pear
-would like to make flatbreads with halloumi and tzatziki but my energy is really low so will probably be pumpkin pancakes out the freezer with greek yoghurt
-broccoli, cauliflower and potato cheesy bake with chipolatas

Going for a solo walk in the woods before the food shop and then going to have a couple hours rest in front of the TV. Struggling to adjust to new working days and finding I'm burnt out by the end of the week.

I feel the same. With everything taking place new runs for school. Work life home life. Everything is piling on top.
Hoping by end of month everything will settle down.

LemonDrizzle23 · 17/09/2025 07:14

Good morning WOWers. Woke up this morning and had to put the lights on for the first time in months as it’s cloudy and dark! Autumn is definitely here.

A loss of 1lb for me this week. Back into the swing of the new term I think. DS has caught the obligatory back to school cold, so I’m sure that will make its way to me soon 🙄

SW: 15 st 8
CW: 14 st 1.2
10%: 13 st 13

Have nearly lost 10% of my body weight now. Hoping to reach this by the end of September. Then the next goal will be needed!

Good luck to everyone weighing in this morning.

biscuitcat · 17/09/2025 07:27

Good morning WoW-ers! Some great numbers. @PatienceOfEngels I’m also finding the new term hard - balancing the school and nursery run plus the baby is absolutely knackering me.

A thoroughly undeserved stay the same for me this week:

SW: 15st10
CW: 14st

I’d like to actually have a loss this week! And ‘own’ being in the 13s by the end of the month.

Today’s menu is:

B - Greek yoghurt with fruit and honey
L - Itsu gyoza with rice and veg
D - spinach and garlic gnocchi

Just need to keep the good work up and not destroy it by snacking…

Fellsbells · 17/09/2025 07:47

Good morning and well done Wowers

I’m 9st 4 this morning. I’m eating normally again and feel better for it so I’m a couple of lbs up, but that’s fine and needed.

Determinedloser · 17/09/2025 07:56

1.6lb gain for me this morning but not concerned as I know I am staying within my calories. I am so up and down that I could weigh tomorrow and have that all off and more!

Good luck to all the WOWers.

Marshmellowbunny · 17/09/2025 08:24

@patienceocengels I keep seeing you mention these pumpkin pancakes! They sound delicious and convenient.

@LemonDrizzle23 yeah, it's very dark here still and it's almost 9oclock. I love autumn but today is grim!

@biscuitcat have you tried the protein mousse/yoghurt from Aldi? I get the chocolate one and, along with allowing myself a hot chocolate a day, it has helped me stop the snacking!

I've also been taking 15g of collagen a day and that's supposedly good for not snacking. Who knows what it is...but I'm really off the snacking 🤷🏻‍♀️

WOW:
SW: 10.96 stone
CW: 10 Stone 2
GW: 9 Stone 5

SW: 67.85kg
CW: 64.41 kg
GW: 59.4kg

I'm going away on Saturday and I really wanted to be in the 9s but heyho. 2lbs off 10 Stone isn't too bad. At least I'm trending downwards. It's going to be SO up when I come back, but I'm going to just enjoy myself. A weeks all inclusive and my first full family in a long time!
Life is too short I think.

I will just have to deal with it when I get back!
I'm still hoping to be in the 9s by the new year, so we will see what happens!

Good luck to everyone today and well done to those of you that have already WOW and lost.

I'm not going to be around next week but I'll be thinking of you all. I genuinely love this group! It makes things so much more pleasant and when I'm going to be terrible, I just think of you lot and it helps me stay on track. Thank you. Have a good week! 🩷

PreetyinPurple · 17/09/2025 08:35

Wow is back up to what it was last month.
I was in the gym for nearly 2 hours yesterday (and Sunday)doing weights/cardio. I’ve been cutting my calories and yet it’s going up.
I know I will be putting on muscle but I also have a lot of weight to lose and take the strain off my knees.

frostedshreddie · 17/09/2025 11:42

Well done WOWers

I can't remember what I weighed last weigh in 🤣 it's been a while. I think I am 2 lbs up since then @ 10 st 2.2 this morning.

SW: 10 st 8.9
CW: 10 st 2.2
GW: 9 st 7.0

Hoping to see a 9 again before end of Sept. 🙏🏻

WearyAuldWumman · 17/09/2025 12:36

Finally! Down half a pound.

Start Weight: 16 st 4lbs.

Current Weight: 14st 3.5lbs.

Interim Goal: 14st.

My size 20 Landsend joggers are now slack in the bum. Used my M&S vouchers to buy a size 16/18 Sweaty Betty pair of gym trousers. Amazingly, they go on.

My legs, thighs and arse look amazing. Let's not talk about the belly... Oh. Dear. Think those films with fat men in Regency trousers.

Unsure as to whether to wear them today or not - maybe with a tunic top?

I'm hoping that the snatching effect might discourage the skin on my thighs and butt from getting too slack... (Aye, I know. Dreamland!)

I realised the other day that the Landsend joggers now looked ridiculous in the posterior, though my M&S variety seem to be okay.

Really not sure whether I should risk the Sweaty Betty or not - the legs and bum look great but nothing is going to sort out that belly. I swear the damned thing is bigger than my bum.

FridayNighFeeling · 17/09/2025 13:33

Well knock me sideways with a feather... I'm down more this morning on the official WOW and I've made the full stone off for my birthday next week, hurrah. In fact it's 6.6kg/14.5lbs in exactly 14 weeks.

Thank you so much everyone. Hugs to all struggling with real life getting in the way - I am too! and pleased to read every positive little comment whether it's diet or exercise or self care.

socks1107 · 17/09/2025 18:30

I sts. I’ve gone back over all my data and looked at when I went to an office job and reduced by 200 calories in July, then in August I reached out to Nutracheck because loss was under half a pound a week and they said eat more, so I ate more and I’ve totally stalled if not put in since over five weeks. If I’d listened to my own intuition I’d be at 11stone now and in fact I’m at 11.7. I’m beyond angry with Nutracheck tbh.
blitzing it at 1200-1300 for the next ten days, refeed on holiday and try not to worry about it then home and drop to 1350. I just hope it works when I get home because I’ll likely put on while away and if that doesn’t come off I’m stuck even heavier, which is why I can’t relax now.

i feel like my holiday is spoilt. I know it’s over dramatic but after nine months of this I can’t relax with food while away but I’ve no buffer and I’m half a stone heavier than was projected. It’s got mw really down today tbh

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 17/09/2025 22:11

As expected, I maintained today. I only have myself to blame. What I’m mostly annoyed about is that I am the same weight I was two years ago! I have been lighter since then, but prior to that I lost almost 3 stone. Gah. But I do know my waist is smaller than it was then, so I need to focus on the positives!

today’s log

B - boiled egg, toast, tea
L - home made leek & potato soup, falafel & humous, quavers, satsuma
D - sausage pasta with broccoli

snack - chocolate biscuit

exercise - les mills core class

Stuck to my calories. Well done @FridayNighFeeling @WearyAuldWumman and other losers today!

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 17/09/2025 22:14

Sorry you’re so down today @socks1107 i hope you find a way to look forward to your holiday again. How active is your holiday? I always find a more active holiday helps balance out the holiday treats (ignore me if you’re planning on slumping on a lounger for a week though!)

wherewillwegoto · 17/09/2025 23:15

Hi can I join? I've a holiday booked for mid December and want to lose 2 stone. I started last Thursday and have lost 6 lbs. I'm trying to combine 16:8 fasting with more or less low carb and eating less.

Sorry edited to say

Start weight 12 stone 13
Target weight 10 stone 13
Current weight 12 stone 7

LemonDrizzle23 · 18/09/2025 07:09

Woke up to another low this morning of 14 st 0.6. The 13s are so close now.

When I hit 14st, I’m buying myself a pair of flat back earrings I’ve had my eye on, so I can keep them in all the time and actually make use of my piercings.

Jecstar · 18/09/2025 07:40

0.5lb off, getting off some of my increase from last week which is good but looking increasingly unlikely that I’ll meet my goal of being under 13st before my new job starts in Nov.

Struggling with what I think is sciatica at thé Mo which is proving a challenge in many ways!

socks1107 · 18/09/2025 07:55

@WhatWouldTheDoctorDo our holidays are active, we walk 20k steps a day usually and a swim is normally lengths. Not sun lounger people so that will help.

this morning I lost, just over a pound so will continue on 1200 calories until we go away next week. Unbelievable that the nutritionist had me eating at maintenance and looking at the data myself I can’t relax clearly see where the bump up happens the day after her advice.
felling better today!

Oh, I blooming hate when sciatica flares up. You have my sympathy - it really gets in the way.
