Following on from ☀️LOSE IT!☀️Joyful June 2025☀️

OPEN TO ALL⭐️

Summers arrived!

It’s never too late to make a change, to make a difference and feel confident in your body. To reach optimum health and vitality we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great! Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and generally eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost around 45lbs. Currently I’m maintaining at 9st 2lb but I would like to get back into the 8’s 🤞

Are you in😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

New members … Give it a go; it’s never too late! You'll be pleased you did 😊

Hi @TealSloth That was quick 😅❤️

Since I've been on your thread I've lost 1 and a half stone. Had a bad weekend but the support we have on these threads is phenomenal. I look forward to a good summer and another positive success with some ups and downs in pounds lol. Main aim for this month carry on loosing these pounds and be under 13 stones. What gets to me is when I hit plateau. One of the hardest moments of weight loss.

frostedshreddie · 30/06/2025 13:32

Place marking for July ☀️

Fellsbells · 30/06/2025 13:38

Thank you @TheRealHousewife

I’m in, starting the month at 9st 12lbs. BMI is 23. Happy to maintain or if exercise and healthy eating allows I’d be happy for a small loss in July. Really looking to maintain healthy habits, sensible eating and exercise to make me mentally and physically strong and balanced. Putting an end to the roller coaster of weight gain and loss I have been on for the past few years. 9st 4lbs is appealing, but almost impossible to sustain long term.

Good luck everyone. Here’s to a nutritious and happy July.

@thewaythelightfalls We are here ❤️

Thank you, found you!

Gosh it’s hot today. Hope everyone is staying cool.

Journeyto180 · 30/06/2025 14:46

Can I join you all?

I need a proper kickstart so will be doing 3 weeks intense from today to Sun 20/07 and then re-evaluating at that point. I haven't actually weighed myself (out of fear) so will do that tomorrow morning. Once I know what I currently weigh, I can set a goal for the end of July.

Plan: Low carb & cardio

Good luck all!

WearyAuldWumman · 30/06/2025 15:18

Checking in.

Thank you for the thread, @TheRealHousewife .

TheRealHousewife · 30/06/2025 15:35

@TealSloth Your post is inspiring and it’s lovely to read that you lovely people appreciate these threads ❤️ ps I agree plateaus are the worst. I’ve been in a plateau (maintaining) for what seems like months. I’m revisiting the Fast800 plan but eating around 1000 cals rather than 800; previously when eating 800 I lost hair as well as weight 😮😅. Don’t want to do that again.

Welcome to the thread @frostedshreddie @Fellsbells @TheWayTheLightFalls @WearyAuldWumman 🥰

Jump right in @Journeyto180 👍

Ive attached useful reminders to keep you all on track 😬

The books recommendations are all low carb, low sugar and gluten free (mainly) I know they have diabetes in the titles but don’t let that put you off, there have some great nutritious recipes. A poster on Junes thread was asking about Mediterranean recipes and some of these are on similar lines (sorry poster I can’t find your post to tag you).

Hi! I haven't weighed myself (I'm scared). But I don't feel good in myself. I used to be so slim and over the years the weight has increased.

I'm going to be on a no UPF diet with running and weightlifting as my exercise.

I'm getting married in 6 weeks so...I want to look as good as possible.

LBB2020 · 30/06/2025 16:00

Thanks @TheRealHousewife

TheWayTheLightFalls · 30/06/2025 17:19

On the plus side, I've just checked my weight on the NHS BMI app and it seems that I am now justout of the "obese" category - a smidgen below a BMI of 30, now - so am now in the "overweight" category.

Congrats @WearyAuldWumman that’/ a brilliant milestone!

Food today: three slices of leftover pizza around 10.30am, and then just loads of ice black coffee, water, grapes, watermelon. I don’t think I’ll be troubling dinner, it’s far too hot to eat so taking advantage for today.

socks1107 · 30/06/2025 18:19

I’m in - month 7!
31lbs/15 kg lost so far this year and am 3lbs from the big 1st goal.

Im a dress size down and generally feel so much better!

thank you for starting another thread

LegoTherapy · 30/06/2025 21:30

I really don’t know if I can be bothered but I’m checking in anyway just incase. Really bunged up here again thanks to the lack of carbs despite loads of water, exercise and seeds.

CraigLogansForehead · 30/06/2025 21:59

Can I join please. Haven’t been on these threads, but joined an MN thread a few years ago which I found so helpful and inspiring.

July is my month to re-focus. Was doing well until mid-May but fallen off the wagon since then. Next 4 days will be hard and tiring but I am going to keep thinking about Saturday and how I’ll be starting to feel much better by then. I felt a bit peaky today so think my body was telling me enough is enough.

Dreading weigh in tomorrow but must be done. What works for me is early morning cardio and calorie counting so starting back on that tomorrow too. But I really want to try to quit alcohol for a month. Never thought it would be an issue but I’m having a G&T every night to help me sleep and I really want to try to stop.

I’d lost 23lbs this year until mid-May so want to get back to that first and then drive on.

LemonDrizzle23 · 30/06/2025 22:12

I’m joining in - thank you @TheRealHousewife Juicy July made me laugh! I will use this week’s WOW as my starting weight for July.

Definitely feel like June flew away from me 😬 Too many days over my calories and not enough exercise to see a substantial result.

TheRealHousewife · 30/06/2025 23:12

@LemonDrizzle23 😅 I nearly went for Jumping July but I thought that might be a little bit raunchy…. Juicy is near the bone though … no pun intended 😄

Sorry to hear.

Oats (high in fibre), water, prunes (you can get the kids’ Ella sachets - little purple pouches), black coffee if you can take it, all good for getting things moving.

Fancyflorist · 01/07/2025 06:08

Hi, please can I join for the first time ever? I am off early to work today so will check back tomorrow to weigh in. Not looking forward to that!

frostedshreddie · 01/07/2025 06:55

Happy July Everyone! Thanks for new thread Real housewife. Welcome newbies :)

I just commented on June thread, weighed in early to see where I finished June at (I actually thought today was 30th June DOH!!). Anyway today I weighed 10st 1.8 so that is my start weight for July.

SW: 10 st 8.0 (1st April)
CW: 10 st 1.8
GW: 9 st 7.0

I am continuing with Intermittent Fasting which has been 16:8. In July I really hope to get firmly into the 9 st bracket, of which I haven't seen for at least 7 years. I also hope to get my exercise mojo back as I have really lost it recently and the heat hasn't helped one bit!.

Good Luck everyone!!

NothingTraLaLa · 01/07/2025 07:04

Morning everyone, and thank you @TheRealHousewife for the new thread.

I’ll do WOW tomorrow, but I fear it will be horrific after a weekend away with some old friends. I have a lot of carb-based bloat to shed and that normally takes a few days.

LegoTherapy · 01/07/2025 07:07

Morning all and welcome to newcomers.

I’m starting July a kg less than I started June but still upset to be 9st exactly. Want to get back in the 8st 5lb range by the second week in August when we go on holiday.

QueenMabby · 01/07/2025 08:06

Morning all. Thanks for the new thread @TheRealHousewife

9st 5.6lb this morning down from 9st 8lb on 1st June. We’re off on holiday in a fortnight so my short term goal is to be under 9st 4lb for that. I won’t calorie count or weigh while we’re away.
