Following on from ☀️LOSE IT!☀️Joyful June 2025☀️

OPEN TO ALL⭐️

Summers arrived!

It’s never too late to make a change, to make a difference and feel confident in your body. To reach optimum health and vitality we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great! Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and generally eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost around 45lbs. Currently I’m maintaining at 9st 2lb but I would like to get back into the 8’s 🤞

Are you in😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

New members … Give it a go; it’s never too late! You'll be pleased you did 😊

1lb down from last week, but last week I was 2lb up which I put down to a bit of water weight and bloating. So still haven’t put a dent in the weight I put on while on holiday. But I feel back on track with exercise so moving in the right direction. Going to the theatre tonight and instead of taking the opportunity to go out for dinner and having a couple of drinks I’m going to go home and have a healthy dinner before going back out. Won’t have time for an exercise class later, so I got up a bit early and did a short stretch class which will help with the DOMS resulting from this weeks classes.

good luck today everyone who is weighing. 2lbs is great @socks1107 and that’s a great loss in 7 months! Slow and steady wins the race!

SW: 10 Stone 9.6
CW: 10 Stone 5.6
GW: 9 Stone 5.

SW: 67.85kg
CW: 66.05kg
GW: 59.4kg.

Ok I'm not going to be sad about this. Summer holidays are hard and I'm still down overall

Went glamping last week and just ate what I wanted so it's to be expected.
Off to Bavaria on Friday so it's only going to get worse and I won't be checking in next week!

Well done to those of you keeping up with checking in and well done if you have lost 👍🏻

biscuitcat · 30/07/2025 09:39

That’s amazing @socks1107 - over 2 stone!

I’ve managed to drop a teeny little 200g this week (not even half a pound!!) but I’ve had big losses the two weeks before and was expecting to stay the same or gain so I’m happy enough with that. Over a stone gone now since the start of June - my initial goal was a stone by the time my eldest started school so I’m going to have a new goal of being in the next stone bracket down by then, which is about 8.5lbs away.

A little non scale victory - my favourite jeans are definitely loose and I found the same ones in a size down on Vinted so have bought them! I imagine I’m still a few weeks away from them being comfortable but a nice measure to use.

PreetyinPurple · 30/07/2025 09:56

2 stone is a huge amount of weight.

Im stuck, I don’t lose weight without exercise/activity so nothing off this week whilst I am recovering.

Fellsbells · 30/07/2025 11:10

Amazing progress well done everyone.

@LemonDrizzle23 ignore the photo, they don’t represent how far you have come.

yesterday was a good day. Did a 5km run, I was within my calories and I felt good. Even had a yoghurt instead of a mini cornetto. Or maybe shrink-flation has made that a normal cornetto now.

I’ve lost 4lbs in July.

Coulddowithanap · 30/07/2025 12:04

Lost around half a lb this week, would have been nice to lose more but at least it's in the right direction.

SW 191.9
CW 184.1

My first goal is to get within the 12 stones.. I think that's another 2lb to go
Although I do need to lose around a stone, I thought smaller goals might be more achievable so will spur me on.

WearyAuldWumman · 30/07/2025 12:09

Heading to the gym this evening, but shall take it easy.

Lower legs and feet are covered in mosquito bites and I appear to have reacted badly to said bites. Was worried that it was cellulitis on one leg (Nearly wrote "cellulite"!) but the colour seems to be dimming from scarlet to purplish crimson.)

Soph8910 · 30/07/2025 13:06

The (brutally honest but very nifty) Happy Scale app told me I’m no longer obese with my BMI of 29.9 so I’m teetering on the edge but nonetheless - it feels like a mini target has been met.

Still have 2st1lb to go until I’m just into the healthy category (by 0.1 😆) but a few pounds until I’m back into the 11s, stone wise. Finding the mini targets like this so much more doable.

Great hearing about everyone’s little wins. Sorry to hear about any setbacks.

MsSauerkraut · 30/07/2025 13:33

Forgot to log last week! But finally below 14 stone so still heading in the right direction.

For people bouncing around the same +/- 2lbs for over a week (which was me for the past fortnight!), here’s something i found helpful “when you see the lower weight on the scale it’s real but you don’t “own” it yet, stay consistent and you will - just keep going”

EasternEcho · 30/07/2025 15:38

I didn't weigh in last Wednesday, but today it is 153.8. It was 155.7 two weeks ago. 20 lbs lost from starting weight. The rate of loss has slowed down, so the next 23 lbs is going to be a very long and slow process. Have to keep at it.

W: 173.8
CW: 153.8
GW: 130

24HoursFromTulseHill · 30/07/2025 18:27

SW 70.9kg
CW 69.9kg
GW 65kg

No loss this week but I've had our monthly takeaway treat and a family bbq so wasn't expecting to loose anything.

Did 4 x 20 min HIIT workouts this week plus walking and cycling to work. Can feel my thigh muscles are getting stronger and my core muscles are more engaged.

No social meals planned for this coming week so should hopefully be able to nudge myself closer to my goal.

frostedshreddie · 30/07/2025 18:52

I forgot to WOW today, super busy and non stop.
Will do a WOTh instead tomorrow and round up July. Not expecting much of a loss tbh.
Well done to everyone else!!

Glad you enjoyed the miso aubergine @biscuitcat I'm definitely going to be making it again soon!!

Fellsbells · 30/07/2025 21:06

Well done Wowers some fantastic progress. @MsSauerkraut I like the description of staying consistent to own that lower weight.

today has gone well. 16k steps (including an 8km run)
B-yoghurt and seeds
L-chicken salad
D-pesto chicken and some chocolate
S- pro biotic drinks and a biscuit

A few positive side effects from eating better recently are my skin is clear and more dewy. I’m a hole smaller on my belt. My face is less puffy and I haven’t got constant sugar cravings.

LemonDrizzle23 · 30/07/2025 21:48

Well done everyone for WOWing! Some good losses and great overall loss @socks1107

Thank you @WhatWouldTheDoctorDo and @Fellsbells I shall try not to let the photo get to me and focus on the positives instead. (Might delete it from my WhatsApp so I don’t keep staring at it!)

Good non-scale victory today according to Apple Watch, my VO2Max measure has finally moved up to 25 after being stuck at 24 for like a year. My cardiovascular fitness has officially measurably improved. First aim is to get to 27, as that makes my fitness “average” instead of “fair”.

Small loss this week of 0.6lbs. Weight has been so up and down throughout July. Nutracheck shows I’ve not been careful enough with my calories. Tightening up for August!

SW: 15 st 8
CW: 14 st 3

Didn’t quite get to 20lbs overall, so making that one of two goals for August.

  1. Reach 20lb loss
  2. See a 13 on the scale
frostedshreddie · 31/07/2025 07:43

Morning!
I have had a very small loss this week, 0.4 of a lb 🤣 not even half a pound. however, this does take me (a hairline) into the 9s 🥳 which made me do a huge grin to myself seeing a 9 on the scale! I havent seen the 9s for 5 years!

SW: 10st 8.0 (April)
CW: 9st 13.6
GW: 9st 7.0

Now the trick is staying in the 9s...when we have 2 big birthdays this month 🙃

I also took my measurements and I did appear to gain an inch on my thigh, however lost 1.5 inch on my hips, 1 in on my waist and half an inch on my arms. On the right track. The IF is the biggest help for me I think.

Hope everyone is well! Are we doing an August thread?

WearyAuldWumman · 31/07/2025 09:26

Light exercise section last night…Trainer supervised my sit to stand - 3 sets of 10 with 6kg weight.

2 x 3kg for side raises and biceps curls. 20 min cardio.

Trainer reckons that the added weight is probably only water weight.

Was 14st 3 when I left for the wedding/holiday. This morning was 14st 5.

BlueOysterCultGroupie · 31/07/2025 14:46

Guess there's plenty of space here @frostedshreddie seeing as @TheRealHousewife probably isn't up to much at the moment.

Food heavy today, but a decent walk this morning and planning a yoga stretch this evening, so keeping things balanced (hopefully)

Well done to you all for what you've achieved in July, we can keep building during August!

TheWayTheLightFalls · 31/07/2025 15:29

That is brilliant @frostedshreddie !

Day 2 of hols here. Travel day was so-so but fine for not eating mindlessly, then today I skipped breakfast and will eat as I like lunch and dinner. Let’s see how it goes.

frostedshreddie · 31/07/2025 15:34

@BlueOysterCultGroupie Ah apologies, I didn't know if we would start one ourselves until Realhousewife is back properly 🫶🏻
Hope you are ok@Realhousewife

Thank you @TheWayTheLightFalls:)

PreetyinPurple · 31/07/2025 15:43

Last day of the month. I’m on day 4 of a bug and I’ve not lost nor put any weight on. I am however, starving, and the idea of stuffing my face is tempting just now.
i can’t exercise or walk and I cancelled my gym induction. Next week then!

Hi Everyone Thank you for the well wishes ❤️. I’ve felt better to be honest but following medical advice and taking things steady.

It’s great to see you all doing your thing and being very supportive of each other! You’re an awesome group of ladies!

@TheRealHousewife thanks for setting that up and great to hear from you! And you are following drs orders, sorry you aren’t well it must be frustrating waiting for answers and to feel better

Fellsbells · 31/07/2025 19:12

@TheRealHousewife good to see you and wishing you well very soon. 🌺

I’m ending July with Colin the Caterpillar cake for no good reason other than he tastes good. Debating going for a run to burn off the extra calories I’ve eaten this evening.

Determinedloser · 31/07/2025 20:16

Would love to join you all. Had posted on a CC thread but think it’s a dead one.

I am sure I have been on one of the OPs threads previously before under a different username.

I am amazed by all of the losses on here!!

I am going to be eating 1450 a day just to see how I get on to begin with. It should probably be less but I am going to try and make up the rest of the deficit via exercise.

Yesterday’s weight (first day) was 11 stone exactly and today’s was 10 stone 12.6. Initial goal is 10 stone by Christmas.

Looking forward to the accountability of this thread.
