Following on from ☀️LOSE IT! May 2025☀️

⭐️OPEN TO ALL⭐️

Here comes summer!

It’s never too late to make a change, to make a difference and feel confident in your body.

To reach optimum health and vitality we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great! Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and generally eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost just around 45lbs. After having been on the wrong side of 12st, the last time I weighed I was hovering around 9st 2lbs. I would like to get back into the 8’s 🤞

Are you in😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

New members … Give it a go; it’s never too late! Come summer you’ll be pleased you did 😊

Beloved long timers it would be great for you to keep going❤️

Thank you for the new thread @TheRealHousewife
After a couple of months absence, my goal for June is to be more present on this thread for accountability. I have a tendency to forget that I’m trying to lose weight!

In June I hope I'll get to my mini goal of a healthy BMI.

TealSloth · 29/05/2025 08:32

Am on thankyou for your hard work and efforts

Endoftethermum1 · 29/05/2025 08:59

Wanting to join! Thanks.
I never manage to keep momentum on my own past 2 weeks. I’ve got to really try this time.
Motivation this time is I have a hip tendon problem probably aggravated partly by my weight.

2in2022twoyearson · 29/05/2025 10:50

Hi, can I join. I'm 5kg above my ideal weight, im 70kg, feel good when I'm 65. I carry it on my tummy. So when I was ideal BMI I was unhealthy waist to hip.My jeans don't fit right, dig in or my bum hangs out. I also have started getting knee and foot pain.

It's biscuits and sugar for me. Plus I need to exercise more. I do try intermittent fasting, around 10-12hours may increase
but I didn't stick to that from end of April to mid may, back on it now. I've been hearing a protein filled breakfast important.

Looking forward to hearing tips.

Thanks

Signing in for June! Currently 10st 9lb, trying to get to 10st. I think I’ve lost about 3st overall over a very long period of time with a few blips along the way.

i go on holiday in exactly 4 weeks, and had set myself a target of 10st 4lb by then. June is shaping up to have a lot of social activity so it’ll be tough, but taking it one day at a time!

thanks for the new thread @TheRealHousewife - good luck WOWers!

LogicalBlodge · 30/05/2025 20:03

Thanks so much for new thread - excited in anticipation for you all.

Signing up for first full month - everything to aim for!

LBB2020 · 30/05/2025 23:00

Hopefully June will be a good month!

QueenMabby · 31/05/2025 07:26

Thanks for the new thread @TheRealHousewife

Ending May on 9st 8lb. Aiming for a 3lb loss in June.

myrightarmandleg · 31/05/2025 07:44

Place marking
Been doing a lot of walking/swimming but my food needs to be better. 7 weeks to holiday. I need to lose a stone 😬

FrothyCothy · 31/05/2025 07:49

Ooo I could do with the accountability so will join you! I have loads to lose - lost 10kg last year, regained 3 and stalled so need a kick up the arse to go again.

TwitchyNibbles · 31/05/2025 07:57

I'd like to join too please. Stepped on the scales yesterday for the first time in ages and wanted to cry. I tend to be quite active but my downfall is unintentional snacking and sweet treats. Also mid-40's so I seem to put on half a stone just looking at a packet of biscuits. After being naturally slim in my 20's and 30's it just all went to pot after DC2 9 years ago and I never got back to my pre-baby weight. I need to lose 9kg just to get to a healthy BMI again and it just feels so overwhelming.

Initial plan is weighing every day (found this helpful for daily accountability before), more water and cutting out the sweet stuff. Also going back to MFP for calorie counting absolutely everything that goes in my mouth! Good luck for June everybody!

This is also my goal!

frostedshreddie · 31/05/2025 08:43

My goals in June are to continue with:

➡️Daily 30 minutes workout, cardio/strength/yoga.
usually do this in the morning before work.
➡️ Daily 30 minutes on exercise bike OR get outside for a walk. Usually do this in the evenings, bike with the TV on!!
➡️ 1600 calorie limit/day
➡️ 2 Litres of water every day

Today I have done 30 min walking workout which was just over 4K steps, will jump on exercise bike later.

Planning on having porridge for breakfast with small dollop of peanut butter, and cooking a green veg dish for lunch.
Dinner TBC.

Good Luck in June everyone!

2in2022twoyearson · 31/05/2025 09:20

In excited to join. I will post here my plan. I don't have a goal for a set time. I may decide this in a couple of weeks...my start weight is 70kg. I'll be weighing myself on Tuesday afternoons I think.

I like building regular habits slowly. Allredy, I do intermittent fasting for 12 hours. would not like to calorie count but will try the no s diet, (no snacks, no sweets no seconds. This week I'll do no snacks, then add to it. So 3 meals a day.

On top of that I'll try and eat more vegetables and get good sleep.

WoodlandDragon · 31/05/2025 13:44

Jumping over from May ready for a new month!

Committing to a plan this month seems like a good idea!

  • 1800 calories per day, calorie counting all through this month to get back into good choices
  • Walk everyday, and aim to fit an afternoon walk into my work days
  • Once I'm past the 10km race I signed up for next week (which means running has been the only exercise for a while), reset back to work on improving my 5km time and do more types of exercise including strength exercises. Aim for 2 runs a week consistently and 1 other activity.
  • Work on stress management techniques with a view to keeping these up if things get stressful again. Reading + make notes, plus write in my diary.
LogicalBlodge · 31/05/2025 22:48

Goals for June

1800 cals a day, tracking everything, 30% protein, 40% carb, 30% fat (more or less)

Drop body fat

I would like to do 8k steps a day but I'm going to need to build this up - may sub in some cycling for walking

Gym 3 x a week plus 1 swim and 1 spin, again need to build this up

Wellbeing goal - get on top of my workload at work

Shut the kitchen on 1500 cals - was under on protein.

TealSloth · 01/06/2025 05:12

Morning everyone. For this month i need to loose 6 pounds. Last month I have been able to loose 4 pounds in total need to see my target goal for this month.
I have done well with my eating need to keep it up. Good luck for june month.

hattiesmith · 01/06/2025 06:46

First timer here….8st to get rid which feels absolutely impossible. I can’t use weightloss injections due to several health issues.
I have a holiday of life time booked in December which is my motivation.

Any tips and advice will be HUGELY appreciated!

Good luck to everyone else

PatienceOfEngels · 01/06/2025 07:09

Thanks for the new thread @TheRealHousewife

The last few months have been really difficult food wise, all linked to stress, mental health. Last month I put on 3kg which is ridiculous. My biggest stressful events for the school year are now all finished and out of the way, so i really hope I can make a push to look after myself better. I've said it out loud to my kids to make myself more accountable.

My main goal is just to stop eating junk or in a disordered way. I eat as a response to stress, loneliness, and find it hard to stop once I've started.
-no eating after dinner (or drinking sugary stuff)
-no solo trips to McDonalds/supermarket on the way home from work
-no bingeing rubbish on my days off when no one's home

My 3 meals are already pretty healthy (I cook a lot from scratch, have leftovers/homemade soup for lunches, don't eat a lot of bread), on work days I have fruit/veg for snack only, and I don't drink alcohol, but I could work on my portion sizes.

Things which I know will help me stop snacking:
-getting outside everyday and walking
-journalling
-staying off devices after 8pm

Going to sorta reading my new Chatterjee book (Make Change that Lasts) whihc I have had sitting on my desk since January.
