⭐️OPEN TO ALL⭐️

Following on from ⭐️ Active April 2025⭐️

Are you up for getting Summer Ready? There’s still time to make a change, to make a difference and feel confident in your body in time for the summer sun ☀️

To reach optimum health and vitality we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great! Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and generally eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost just around 45lbs. After having been on the wrong side of 12st The last time I weighed I was hovering around 9st 2lbs. I would like to get back into the 8’s 🤞

Are you in😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

New members … Give it a go; it’s never too late! Come summer you’ll be pleased you did 😊

Beloved long timers it would be great for you to keep going❤️

PS - Grok 3 created my picture … not the best but perhaps I’m instructing him wrong. I still thanked him 😅

Happy WOWing everyone! In total, I am 6lbs down in May, which I’m very happy with.

Also +400g here for me too @LightGirl Also after a weekend of eating! Fairly sure it’ll be gone in a few days once back to normal routine.

Wanted to end the month at 14st7, and apart from this tiny rise, I have done. So I’m calling it a success.

Would like to lose another 5-7lbs next month and be near 14st by the end of June when we have a weekend away.

QueenMabby · 28/05/2025 07:48

Here’s my week of weigh-ins. TOTM at the moment hence the rise I think.

Morning!

SW 68kg
WOW 66.2kg
GW 59kg

Really happy with where I'm at. Since I haven't weighed last week can't say how much I lost in a week, but it's more than I was predicting.

My mini goal is to get to a healthy weight in BMI, which is about 64.5kg.

mermadeincornwall · 28/05/2025 08:15

Feeling deflated.
Same weight as last week.
Taking a long hard look at myself. I know where I'm slipping up. Just struggling to get started. I know when I see the weight coming off it'll motivate me.
Loving the Emily English cookbook. I will do a meal plan for the week.

Well done everyone who has lost.
You're posts are inspiring.

mermadeincornwall · 28/05/2025 08:19

How did you do @TheaBrandt1?
Better than me I hope

TheRealHousewife · 28/05/2025 09:08

Good Morning and Happy WOW Day!

Im back from the coast now which was a lovely break! I’m not 100% and as per one of my hospital appointment's recently I never will be. It’s a case of finding a new normal. That said I’m determined to make the best of things and build up some strength (if only I had more energy! 😬)

I will create Junes thread and try to catch up on this one (I’ve mentioned it before but in case I’ve been tagged and not seen it, I don’t receive emails about tagging 🤷‍♀️)

Thanks for the lovely comments and support yesterday! Not everything went to plan but it was better than many days recently, just need to keep going. I slept right through the night last night for the first time in weeks which feels amazing - I think I have been under a lot of stress of late which has now lifted (work stress on a big project, plus home stress with my husband possibly changing job, also now at as much less stressful stage). So probably need to work on stress management too during this period of calm, or I'll be right back here again next time things get busy.

Anyway, WoW today:
SW: 94kg (1st Jan 2025)
CW: 91.2kg
GW: 75kg

Onwards and downwards from here I hope!

NothingTraLaLa · 28/05/2025 11:03

Sorry to hear about your appointment @TheRealHousewife , but I admire your determination and positivity - bon courage.

Ending the month roughly where I started it, but I am adamant that June will see a loss.

CW 122.4 lbs
TW 112 lbs

WearyAuldWumman · 28/05/2025 11:37

Back down to 14st 10, which is where I was before I had my hysteroscopy and Mirena coil inserted. I'd gone down from 16st 4. After the HRT change, I had an excess of progesterone because I was told to say on Kliofem and also missed some training sessions. Even so...I went back up to 15st 9 by January. (Christmas cough might have been involved.)

Anyway, back down to 14st 10.

My third biopsy came back clear (Hurrah!) the coil is still in place (so far as I know) and I'm now on 1mg of oestrogen a day and the (TMI) spotting has finally stopped, thank goodness, so that minor interference has gone.

Due to be at my exercise class tonight, but my car is still at the garage. It passed the MOT, but there's a nail in a tyre, so they're changing that.

LBB2020 · 28/05/2025 12:22

Well done everyone, sounds like it’s been a successful month!
I'm basically ending the month where I started which is disappointing. I can’t seem to stick with it and fall off track constantly! Need to get my head straight and have a proper go at it in June!

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 28/05/2025 13:15

Well done to those with losses today! I was a pound up, but I’m hoping that this is just water retention after all the carbs and salty food I was fed at the weekend. Will weigh again on Friday to see how that compares.

Fellsbells · 28/05/2025 14:11

Well done Wowers.

I’m the same weight too, bit of fluctuating over the month, but on the whole I’m happy to have maintained for the whole of May.

Not sure I can be bothered to lose the last 7lbs or if it’s even worth the effort. I know I’ll gain it all back quickly as soon as I take the reins off. Might as well maintain and stop the yo-yo dieting.

We’ll see what June brings.

HazelNotHungryLC · 28/05/2025 19:43

Last week: 165.7lbs
CW: 166.5lbs
GW: 155lbs

I had been higher over the weekend. Not as active, not feeling great, eating too many carbs & not logging my food are all a factor.
Back at work today, back on track and logging again. I have less than 2 weeks until my big trip and although I'm not going to make my goal weight, it'll be nice to be closer to 160lbs than 170lbs by then.
I'm in it for the long haul and I know weightloss slows down the closer to goal.

LemonDrizzle23 · 28/05/2025 21:45

My wonderful, ancient, super stretchy, comfortable at the waist 3/4 leggings are about to die 😭 There are now two little holes in the crotch. Definitely not suitable for bending over in the gym, just in case… Maybe they’ll be ok for walking around the village for a bit longer!

This cookbook is on my list!

I'm WOTing (weighing on Thursday).

Closed on 1650 cals of my 1800 allowance. It's actually really hard to get enough calories of healthy food 😆 It's always the protein calories that are under. Annoying as I know I won't lose if I eat too little. Will see how it bears out tomorrow.

NSVs - waist feels less bloated, another 8.3k steps.

Usual oats and eggs plus salmon and potato salad. My favourite for dinner which was chicken breast wrapped in parma ham.

Think I can easily get my steps up more incrementally which is good. WFH tom so will have to enforce some walking.

What I need to do more of is edit my regular recipes in my tracker to update and tweak closer to my target.

Please gods of weight loss give me a good weigh in tomorrow 🙏 😆😇

QueenMabby · 29/05/2025 07:42

After today (champagne afternoon tea out with a friend) I have a clear run with no meals out or other de-railing events until 13th June. I’ll be so glad!

GreenFressia · 29/05/2025 09:35

Wow!!

SW 11st 11.6
CW 11st 10.4

More than I could have hoped for and a great first week! Really needed the boost.

Obviously it's probably never going go be such a big loss again, and there's going to be a massive slog and more lows ahead 😆 But oh the little wins are so sweet.

TealSloth · 29/05/2025 09:56

Hello everyone hope your all well. Am weighing in at 13.6 need to reach 13.4 by next week need to work extra hard and keep on top of my right eating. Need to see under 13 stones middle of June.
I am traying my best to make sure am staying on top of my work out. I do have days that my daily life catches up. At times I do need my rest. Good luck girls for June thread

frostedshreddie · 29/05/2025 10:09

Morning everyone
I haven't heard of the Emily English book so will look it up. I love a good cookbook!! Although have far too many....

Last night went for a 1 hour evening walk and talk with a friend! Was lovely in the evening sunshine and our in nature.

This morning I have completed 35 mins of yoga.
I am WFH today, so going to aim for a 30 mins walk @ lunch time instead of the exercise bike today.

Food is whatever is left as our food shop always comes on a Friday. I know we are having cod and peas for dinner.

TheaBrandt1 · 29/05/2025 10:29

Had blip as weighed at weekend and was up 4kg!!! But just weighed again and back to weight I thought I was phew so must have been hormonal or something.

SW March 2025 - 76kg bmi 27
CW 70kg - bmi 25
GW 65 kg

Going hard at it - fasting til lunchtime lots of cardio minimising snacks. Downfall is my evening sweet tooth. Will do the clean teeth after dinner trick I think.

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 29/05/2025 18:35

I am eating well this week, but lacking in energy. I put it down to latest week’s enforced carbfest, but as the week goes on I think it’s hormonal. My pound up on WOW had disappeared this morning so that was something. Miserable weather here today unfortunately.

GreenFressia · 29/05/2025 22:50

Didn't track until the end of the day but miraculously am only 65 cals over. Over 20g on carbs but that's fine.

I think I'm going to be a Weigh On Sunday person too, as it gives me more incentive to stick with it as the week goes on and to start the week well.

Also need to try and prep lunches ahead as best I can to avoid slipups. Looking forward to exercise and seeing where I am at by the end of next week - I feel like I might make some quick gains on weight loss before my body realises what is going on 😆

I didn't do any steps today, knew that would happen- got stuck behind the laptop, but that's okay.

NSVs - feeling like the out of control weight gain has stopped

mermadeincornwall · 30/05/2025 07:47

Well done everyone who lost this week 🎖.

Hi @GreenFressia ,I love the cook book, loads of recipes to try. My husband works shifts so it's helpful most of the recipes are for one.
I need to track calories again like you. You've had a great week, I'm so pleased for you 💕. Love the idea of the 'weight loss gods ' I shall light a joss stick and pray for guidance 🙏 😂.

Have a good week

How are you doing @TheaBrandt1?

frostedshreddie · 30/05/2025 07:55

Last post for this May thread! 3lbs lost in total for May.
Yesterday finished on 1606 calories.

Today:

Breakfast: Banana Protein Shake

Well done everyone!!
See you all on the June thread :)
