Are you up for getting Summer Ready? There’s still time to make a change, to make a difference and feel confident in your body in time for the summer sun ☀️

To reach optimum health and vitality we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great! Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and generally eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost just around 45lbs. After having been on the wrong side of 12st The last time I weighed I was hovering around 9st 2lbs. I would like to get back into the 8’s 🤞

Last post for May. I think I lost 1.5 lbs. Not my best effort, but the best I’ve done this year. Four weeks till holidays, 5lbs to go (well, I’ve got the final 9lbs to go, but that’s the goal I set myself).

Gym/exercise class this morning.

!0 mins HIIT walking warm-up; 2 min only SPARC warm down. Angel stretches.

3X10 sit to stand with 5kg weight and yoga ball between knees; 3X10 knee bends with large yoga ball between me and wall. Standing twists with 3kg weight for obliques.

New exercise - standing downwards stretches with 4kg weight for obliques.

Band side steps for thighs. Did leg stretches at home. Also, exercised arms by hauling up ivy.

Thank you @NothingTraLaLa. I’ll just keep doing my best and hopefully will see some movement on scale.

Im ending the month where I started which I’m pleased about under the circumstances. I’ve kept an eye on portion control and generally been eating twice a day with no snacks or alcohol.

Id like to see a loss next month but unable to exercise to any meaningful capacity.

Last day of the month! Ending at 9st 8lb. A bit above my lowest in the month of 9st 7.4lb but a 2.4lb loss over the month which isn’t bad.

Ending on a high, or a low. Had a big whoosh this week and I’m 3lbs down this month. Mostly just from this week. No idea how or why, possibly water weight was masking it for the other weeks.

Quick end of month check in:
SW 94kg
CW 89.3kg
GW 75 kg

Which means since I started paying attention again earlier this week I've dropped 1.8 kg and am firmly back under 90 kg... Does that mean it was all retained water or something, not proper weight gain? Ugh, bodies are weird - but I'm happy! Feeling more focused again, and determined to get down to my lowest weight for the year (below 87 kg, would like to be 85 kg) by the time of my holiday in late July, should be achievable with steady consistency.

Taking this new positive attitude over to the June thread, see you all there!

Last day of the month today, and last weekend’s mayhem on the scale has vanished and left me firmly at 14st 7 at the end of May.

Have been out for a 6km walk this morning while DS was at a club. Think I should probably have put suncream on first! Glorious here today.

Not sure what the rest of the weekend entails. Probably some playgrounds and a bit of a relax before school starts again on Monday.

14st 10lbs still for me. I was 15st 9lbs at the beginning of the year. It's going slowly, but it's still progress I guess.

Had lunch out with my cousin today. I notice that the restaurant has stopped listing calories on their menu. I'm guessing that it was putting people off.

Still 6kg down woo hoo! 5 kg to lose sticking loosely with IF no food until an omelette at midday. Just let myself down with a shortbread biscuit but just the one!

I started May 12st 2 and am now 11st 8 so can’t complain. Been rubbish eating the last few days so going to find the June thread and get on it!

Had to tweak recipe a bit, a little less avocado, and changed to serve one. Absolutely delicious and filling 😋
