⭐️OPEN TO ALL⭐️

Following on from ⭐️ Active April 2025⭐️

Are you up for getting Summer Ready? There’s still time to make a change, to make a difference and feel confident in your body in time for the summer sun ☀️

To reach optimum health and vitality we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great! Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and generally eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost just around 45lbs. After having been on the wrong side of 12st The last time I weighed I was hovering around 9st 2lbs. I would like to get back into the 8’s 🤞

Are you in😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

New members … Give it a go; it’s never too late! Come summer you’ll be pleased you did 😊

Beloved long timers it would be great for you to keep going❤️

PS - Grok 3 created my picture … not the best but perhaps I’m instructing him wrong. I still thanked him 😅

My week has been ok so far. I’ve stuck to three meals no snacks and am trying to remember to drink more water. I’ve fallen off the exercise wagon though so need to sort that out!

Fellsbells · 21/05/2025 06:17

Good luck wowers. I’ve maintained this week.

TheWayTheLightFalls · 21/05/2025 06:31

WOW - 75.1kg. Just about maintaining at my goal weight.

Goals for this week: a bit more preparedness with food, because that has slipped a bit. At least one weights session.

frostedshreddie · 21/05/2025 07:11

Well done everyone on the WOWs.

I have lost 1.8lb since my last weigh in which I am very happy with! Feels like the scales weren't moving in the right direction for ages so this is very welcome.

Current Weight: 10 st 6.6 lbs
Goal Weight: 9 st 7 lbs

Have just finished 30 mins of lovely morning yoga 🧘🏻‍♀️
Have a lovely day everyone!

LemonDrizzle23 · 21/05/2025 07:20

Good luck to everyone WOWing today. @TheRealHousewife I hope you’re doing ok.

A good WOW for me, I am down 2.2lb this week. Not quite sure I did anything vastly different! But I think was a bit better at sticking to my calorie goal.

SW: 15st 8
CW: 14st 7.4

DH and I go away for the weekend in just over 5 weeks time, and I would love to be around 14st by then. 7lb in 5 weeks could be doable. However half term is next week and I have two birthday meals, a day out and a wedding 😬 So some careful planning might be needed!

socks1107 · 21/05/2025 07:32

Despite my bloating that is still there and uncomfortable I am down 1.8lb.
thrilled 🤩

SW 13.13
CW 12.3
GW 11.8

well done to everyone just for being here and being consistent with weighing! Onto a new week

SummerOak · 21/05/2025 09:35

Everyone's been doing so well!!

I decided to skip this week's WOW. I've been sick with a cold for almost a week and while I have absolutely no energy, just moving from bed to sofa, I still have a great appetite. I feel like I put on weight again. Hopefully the cold goes away soon so I can get back to tracking, walking.

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 21/05/2025 13:40

Some good losses this week!

maintenance for me today, but I think
i weighed last Thursday so I might weight tomorrow to get a week comparison.

Annoyingly I forgot my lunch today. It’s so hard to get a healthy low calorie lunch at the shops, I’d forgotten! Though there is a new M&S football so I was able to get a pot of soup and I can have the other half tomorrow. I was cursing myself though!

Medee · 21/05/2025 18:10

No WOW for me as too busy to go to the Boots branch I weighed myself last week! That busyness helped me accidentally fast all day since breakfast. I had dentist at lunchtime so didn’t eat beforehand, and only now having some celery sticks and reduced fat houmous. Dinner later when DH home.

QueenMabby · 21/05/2025 18:56

Mostly within my calories today. Only over by 13! Not bad for an office day. We have a lovely bean to cup coffee machine but too many lattes really eats in to the calorie allowance!

Sighthoundsforever · 21/05/2025 19:56

Maintaining now for the past 6 weeks at about 10st 1 and 10st 2. If I can stick here I will be very happy

WearyAuldWumman · 21/05/2025 20:16

Keeping within my calories.

Exercise class this evening. 10 mins HIIT on treadmill to warm up; only 2 mins on SPARC to cool down.

3X10 (3kg) arm raises; 5X10 (2kg) biceps curl; forearms curl (both ways - not sure what they're called); 'salt shaker' both arms.

Sit to stand 3X10, squeezing ball between knees and lifting 5kg medicine ball.
Standing twist, 3X10 holding 2kg medicine ball.

socks1107 · 21/05/2025 20:40

I wfh Wednesdays and so don’t do my 18k steps so I reduced my calories today and went to the gym.
the horrible bloating I had last night has all
gone and I feel so much better!

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 22/05/2025 06:44

Good couple of days on the calorie and exercise count here this week so far. Hopefully it’ll be reflected on the scales soon. It’s just over 5 weeks till
i go on holiday - my goal was to be at least 10st 4lbs by then (same as last summer’s holiday) though preferably 10st. I’m currently hovering at 10st 8/9, so the 10st 4lb is achievable if I really stick to it. Which is more than I’ve been able to manage this year, but nothing like a looming deadline to focus the mind!

mermadeincornwall · 22/05/2025 07:54

I forgot to post my weight yesterday.

Start weight 11.4
Today's weight 11.3
Goal weight 10 stone.

Only a pound. I need to find what works for me again.
I bought the new healthy eating cookbook by Emily English to help me.
I'll also keep reading this thread for inspiration and ideas.

TheaBrandt1 · 22/05/2025 11:33

Mermade are you me?!

SW 76kg
CW 70kg
GW 62 kg but would be happy at 65kg

HazelNotHungryLC · 22/05/2025 18:16

I forgot to post yesterday! I'm up 1lb this week, but it was my TOTM.

CW: 165.7lbs
GW: 155lbs

I've been doing well with logging and keeping my carbs low. The weekends always include more carbs, it seems, but I'm trending down overall.

frostedshreddie · 22/05/2025 19:01

Today has been:
Workout: 10 mins HIIT 20 mins core/abs
I also walked for an hour whilst children scooted and am going for an evening walk with a friend later tonight.
Water: 2Litres
Calories: 1505

Keep going everyone !!

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 22/05/2025 22:28

Another good day. Stuck to my calories, forced myself away from my desk at lunchtime - only a quick stroll but a bit of vitamin d and a few steps. I was going to do a bodycombat class, but it was a lovely evening so went for a quick local hill walk instead.

The weekend is going to be tricky - long car journey, visiting family who are fond of offering calorific stodge at the best of times, but this is for a birthday so will be worse. So no Friday night wine tomorrow, and I’ve made Saturday and Sunday ‘easier’ days on nutracheck.

NerrSnerr · 23/05/2025 07:04

Having a decent week food wise here but the scales are not playing. Did get down to 11st 8 which was a stone loss but since they’ve been stuck on 11st 10/11 and are not moving. I know it’s only a few days but it’s frustrating.

My husband is home from a work trip today and I’m off work next week so able to get to the gym so have booked in a load of spinning classes.

I think my clothes are fitting a bit better so it’s probably just water but it’s disheartening when the scales are not showing the hard work!

frostedshreddie · 23/05/2025 08:14

I hate that @NerrSnerrhappens to me loads!!
Remember the scale is only one way of measuring and it's good if your clothes are fitting better :) do you take measurements? Or progress photos?
Keep going !!

LemonDrizzle23 · 23/05/2025 13:42

Well my DH has leapt on the bandwagon and has decided to lose weight too! Have got him on to nutracheck, and heard him rattling my scales around this morning. I’m sure it will fall off him much more quickly 🙄😂 But I don’t care, I’m looking forward to us both being a bit more svelte by the end of the year.

Have planned a load of healthy meals over half term, and will be going for chicken and veggies at our bbq, so that I can go out for DHs birthday lunch and not worry too much about what I eat. I am determined not to come out the other side of the school hols several lbs heavier!

WearyAuldWumman · 23/05/2025 13:54

Had a glitch this morning...Lost my card wallet with my gym card.

Why yes...it was in the pocket of the jeans that I'd packed into my gym bag (for changing into after my shower). Doh!

Did an 11 minute HIIT on the treadmill. Standing twist exercise holding 2kg for stomach muscles - 5X10.

3X10 10kg leg curl; 3X10 plus one set of 5 leg extensions; 3X10 plus 5 - 30kg - on low row with angel wings in between sets.

Cornflakes with oatmilk, half and half coffee for breakfast.

Lentil soup, cheese and onion toastie with salad for lunch.

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 23/05/2025 17:53

It’s really helpful when you’re both on it @LemonDrizzle23 DH and I are both using nutracheck too. It means we’re on the same page on healthy meals etc.
