⭐️OPEN TO ALL⭐️

Following on from ⭐️Move It March 2025⭐️

Spring has sprung at long last! ☀️ Are you ready for Active April?

To reach optimum health and vitality (as well as a slim bod) we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, our mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great! Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and generally eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost over 3 stone. After having been on the wrong side of 12st The last time I weighed I was hovering around 9st 2lbs. I would like to get back into the 8’s 🤞

Are you in😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

New members … Give it a go; it’s never too late! Come summer you’ll be pleased you did 😊

Beloved long timers it would be great for you to keep going❤️

My feet are aching after today. I have a calorie deficit of over 1000 calories due to all the exercise. I did eat more snacks earlier in the day but that might be because I ate less breakfast due to slicing my thumb with the bread knife when cutting bread for toast this morning. Dd took over and I got one slice instead of two although due to the time it took to stop the blood and wrap it up I hadn’t time for another anyway. Sad times 🤣 Hopefully breakfast tomorrow will be extra delicious to make up for it. Im
hungry but trying not to eat after dinner again as that really helped the weight loss in the beginning.

Morning all, here’s to the last wow of April!
58kg this morning so a loss of 0.8kg or 1.7lbs since Monday.
Have a great day!

LemonDrizzle23 · 30/04/2025 07:25

Morning WOWers. Good luck to everyone for April’s last weigh in!
1kg off for me this week, but I think that’s partly due to some post-Easter bloat disappearing.

SW: 97.5kg
CW: 94.1kg

So exactly the same as the beginning of April, having gone up and then back down again. I think I’ve got myself into a good rhythm now however, so hopefully May will continue to trend downwards.

QueenMabby · 30/04/2025 07:44

Checking in for today:

SW: 10st 0.2lb
CW: 9st 10.6lb
GW 9st

According to the scales I’ve put on a pound in the last two days which is frustrating as I’ve not exceeded my calorie target. There must be other factors at play though and the general trend is downwards which is good. Aiming to be under 9 1/2 stone by the end of May.

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 30/04/2025 07:44

Morning all. 10st 10lbs for me, so no really change for me this month at all. At least I haven’t put weight on. But I haven’t been consistent with my exercise or food tracking, so I only have myself to blame. My GW is 10st. I’m not going to make that by the time I go on holiday in 2 months so hopefully with renewed effort I can get back to 10st 4lb which is where I was last summer.

Good luck to all the WOWers and well done @LegoTherapy and @LemonDrizzle23

buzzofthebumblebee · 30/04/2025 08:50

Hello all. Well, I stayed completely the same the whole month at 12.0
During the day my food is really good, but evenings are still my downfall when I reach for a "treat" glass of wine, snack, or both.

Plus I've been socialising more than usual, which on the one hand has been great for me, but not good for calorie intake.
I exercise a fair bit - lift weights, plus ran both a 10 mile and a 10 k this month.
So conscious I need a fair bit more calories to fuel my exercise.
But would love to shift a comfortable half stone.
Will try harder in May.

Sorry to hear about your further tests @TheRealHousewife - hope they get to the bottom of your ongoing health issues. You've been here running the thread for us all for so long - it's very much appreciated (even though I'm not a regular) Flowers

belnding · 30/04/2025 09:31

I’m down to 70.5kg today- though I can take no credit for having done anything!

I’ve had my eye off the ball for most of the month as been on a long holiday.

my fitness is quite good, but I’ve been eating a lot and my stomach is really big at the moment.

i was 72kg at the start of the month. Although just yesterday morning my weight was 72kg so this morning is just a normal fluctuation. At least it didn’t go up though!

looking forward to making a bit of a difference in May

socks1107 · 30/04/2025 09:34

Morning all! I was so upset this morning I’ve lost nothing in April. I’ve tracked, exercised and done everything right but not lost a pound then I see some of us are in the same position! Let’s hope May is better because I’ve had a few tears, I won’t make my holiday target and it’s got me really down.
SW 13.13
CW 12.8
GW 11.8

NothingTraLaLa · 30/04/2025 09:47

Morning all!

I can’t believe April is almost over. I’ve been absent for much of the month as was away on holiday for 2 weeks over Easter, and the week prior to that was spent in my usual pre-holiday tizz.

I’m up 2 pounds since the start of the month, which is very acceptable given the holiday business. It was an active one, though, and I averaged over 20k steps a day, so that will have helped.

CW 122.8 lbs
TW 112 lbs

Hi Everyone

Hope you all have a good WOW! 🤩

Thank you for your well wishes, it’s much appreciated ❤️

Health wise - Struggling a bit to be honest. I won’t bore you with the details. That said I’m remaining mindful of my portion control, prioritising sleep and trying to move as much as comfortably can.

Ive created Mays thread (2nd attempt as 1st one went poof as I was posting it with my clumsy fingers 😅)

We are going away for a week next week. I’m looking forward to change in scenery and enjoying the beach.

Finishing out the month in the middle of a holiday (in the UK, visiting family). Too many barbecues, a few meals out but still alcohol free and no evening cheese. Lots of steps and a few solo walks to keep me sane. Lots of birdsong, reading in the shade and sunsets.

Thanks for the thread this month @TheRealHousewife ✨️

Fellsbells · 30/04/2025 15:47

Hi Wowers, well done everyone.

I’m ending April 2lbs less than I started. I did go higher in the middle of the month, but this last week has been better and brought it down.

see you in May.

Mmmmm. Evening cheese. You’re very good to abstain!

LegoTherapy · 30/04/2025 19:28

I’m 240 calories over my allowance today but I was hungry! I still have exercise calories available to use so it could be argued by a good lawyer that I’m still within my allowance. It’s all the walking yesterday I think. I was so tired this morning. I’m just over 9 miles today which isn’t bad for a day off. I’ve been up and down the bastard big hill 3 times today and in the heat that was hard going. I’ve wanted salty snacks today which might be my body attempting to replenish what it’s lost through sweat 🤢 I hate being sweaty.
Goodbye April!

Sighthoundsforever · 30/04/2025 19:35

Bye bye April. Lost 4lbs this month. Happy with that. 2 more lbs to go to target weight. Hopefully May can see me there. Looking forward to seeing you all on the May thread and hope it’s a good month for us all
