⭐️OPEN TO ALL⭐️

Following on from ⭐️Move It March 2025⭐️

Spring has sprung at long last! ☀️ Are you ready for Active April?

To reach optimum health and vitality (as well as a slim bod) we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, our mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great! Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and generally eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost over 3 stone. After having been on the wrong side of 12st The last time I weighed I was hovering around 9st 2lbs. I would like to get back into the 8’s 🤞

Are you in😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

New members … Give it a go; it’s never too late! Come summer you’ll be pleased you did 😊

Beloved long timers it would be great for you to keep going❤️

Recorded a weight for HappyScale, but I’m not sure how real it is, or if it’s just because of a long weekend of eating! Definitely a bit of a bump up, so will see a more realistic figure next week!

DS went back to school today and DH is working away. So I did 50mins aerobics as soon as I got back from the school run. Plan to go out for a walk later once it’s brightened up a bit.

TheWayTheLightFalls · 23/04/2025 11:36

76.5kg today, but I weigh daily so it’s no surprise. Still aiming for 75kg as a first goal. Not eaten yet today, will have a good meal at 1pm or so.

buzzofthebumblebee · 23/04/2025 11:59

I'm exactly the same 12 st 0 I was at the beginning of the month.
Given my blip last week I take that as a good thing.
Still got 8 days left in April to achieve a loss.

TerroristToddler · 23/04/2025 12:58

Finally able to post a loss this week, after 3 weeks of no movement! To be completely honest, no one is more suprised by me as I've been more lax and not calorie counting over the long weekend and def been eating more than usual - but I'll take it!

SW- 140lbs
CW - 128.6lbs
GW - 125lbs

Down 1/2lb this week!

Sighthoundsforever · 23/04/2025 17:29

lost 2lbs in last 10 days. Half a pound off seeing a number 9 st on the scale. I will maintain them as I’m 5ft 11 and that will be enough for my height. Very excited

QueenMabby · 23/04/2025 17:49

Ours is in a hotel about 15 mins away. Dd has a huge frock. She’s in love. Does apparently need a second dress (short, but with the same “vibe” as the main dress) for the after-party though. 🤣

QueenMabby · 23/04/2025 18:00

Sorry - wrong thread for that one and it won’t let me edit.

HollyGolightly4 · 23/04/2025 19:59

Well done everyone for weighing in today! I'm going to weigh tomorrow, but I suspect I'll have put on thanks to a dodgy overindulgence of an Easter weekend (including wine, chocolate, afternoon tea- the full monty!!). I'm trying really hard to get back into good patterns now I'm back to work though, and determined to be on it.

I'm going out for pasta on Friday. Has anyone got any tips about which might be the healthiest ones to go for. I think it's a pretty calorific menu.

LBB2020 · 23/04/2025 20:33

Arghhhh I ended up not doing my run and picking on Easter chocolate instead last night! Struggling to get my head back in the game after the Easter break and going away. Today started well then ended up going the same way as yesterday. Fingers crossed for a better day tomorrow

I reckon tomato sauce based rather than cream? Not an expert but love pasta!

Me too, but trying to view it as a blip and not giving up, historically I would have thrown the towel in. I'm not giving up but trying to make better choices (hard!)

Try aribiata or something spicey

Agree with others that a tomato based sauce one would be best. Or, if you think you could do it, then just have whatever your favourite dish would be…and only eat half of it!
Ideally stay away from any bread on the side.

<whispering> according to my scales I’ve lost 2.6lb since Monday! I’m aware that as this is week 1 of calorie tracking that this is likely to be 2.5lb of water and very little fat loss but I must confess that it’s given me a boost of confidence.

lucya66 · 24/04/2025 12:42

Hello, can I join? Started dieting 10 days ago.
sw 164
cw 160

I have a tight dress I need to fit into in 10 days so hoping for another 4lbs loss by then.

it’s hard with all this Easter choc around

WearyAuldWumman · 24/04/2025 14:00

Well, went to the exercise class yesterday, but took it easy. Skipping the gym again today.

I started back on the diazepam and zoplicone. [My GP has prescribed a fortnight at a time since DH died, but I've not had to request them too often. One pack usually lasts for months. Lowest dose for both.] I think that the HRT change has made an impact. I'm assuming that I shouldn't take too long to adjust.

Had diazepam one day, zoplicone the next and half a zoplicone last night. The only problem is that they work too well and I sleep too long.

Shall see how I get on with half a diazepam tonight, and hope that the anxiety settles.

I'm avoiding doing too much that involves the knees, but I did also cut the front hedge yesterday. However, it looks a bit squint, so I'll tidy it up. I'm 5ft9 and it's taller than I am, so I'm trying to take the height down a bit.

Shall get on with band exercises for the arms as well.

Don't. Ask. About. The. Easter. Egg.

HollyGolightly4 · 24/04/2025 19:08

I weighed and was 81.8 😔. I've only gone up 0.4 kg, but it's in ten days and I just feel disheartened. I just need to see my BMI be 30!

Thank you all for pasta recommendations!

LemonDrizzle23 · 24/04/2025 20:30

Well I had a rest day today. Went to the physio for the first time in two months and my shoulder is definitely feeling it 😭

Have had two evenings of very boring dinners - DH not around and trying to balance clubs and meetings. I tried some 2% fat turkey mince, which was completely flavourless! Won’t bother with that again. I have however stuck to my pre-portioned Easter egg packs. Sad and tiny as they look 😂

Sorry you’re having a tricky time @WearyAuldWumman It’s hard to sleep with too many thoughts floating around. Sometimes you just need to eat the Easter egg guilt free!

It's so frustrating. I've gone up and down the same 3lbs for 3 weeks now!

TheRealHousewife · 25/04/2025 10:21

Good Morning All

@WearyAuldWumman ❤️ Anxiety is tough. Sending a hug x

Great to see the progress you’re all making! Congratulations 🥳; also including the people who’ve std or gained a little; your accountability and honesty is very refreshing 👍👌 Just stay with your plans and you will get there.

Short Health Update - awaiting face to face appointment at the Spinal Injuries Unit. My spine condition is now increasingly affecting my fingers & arm function. Very unsettling. On my worse days I don’t seem to have the band width to concentrate on reading/typing so apologies for my absences.

I’ve got May’s thread on my to do list ✅

Have a great Friday and enjoy your weekend!

Went to the gym. Wooooot!

15 minutes HIIT on the treadmill. Scared to try out any other exercises involving the legs, so 5X10 - 30kg - on the low row, plus 3X10 - 20kg - lat press, triceps press and biceps press.

TheWayTheLightFalls · 25/04/2025 12:53

Sending love @TheRealHousewife and hoping the appointment gets you some answers and relief.

@HollyGolightly4 I'm invested in which pasta you ordered in the end!

OK few days here, easier than expected for TOTM. Relatively good eating under TDEE each day, and today was grilled mushrooms for breakfast, chicken salad for lunch, and likely a Covent Garden soup for dinner - a whole pack of the veg soup is 180cal and very filling. Lots of black coffee to keep me going. I use sweetener in coffee which I probably need to tackle/reduce at some point but can't face it just now.

Weight is sts or slowly dropping, I'm at 76.1kg / 167lbs today and yesterday.

Happy Friday to everyone!

AnonymousMum37 · 25/04/2025 13:38

I just keep yoyoing and it's driving me bonkers. It was so easy at the beginning. I'm 158.4lb this morning. I am weighing daily to try and understand the fluctuations and I didn't really mind as the general trend was still down but I'm getting fed up now. I've lost and gained the same 3/4lb for a month now. I know I've not been perfect with my diet but I've always been well into a deficit over the week, and I'm running 3x a week and doing pilates.

I am exactly the same, thought I’d broken it yesterday but I’m back up today. Gone on an eating mission today , won’t track calories tmrw then Sunday a new approach. I’ve been bouncing around for around 6 weeks now and am really bored of counting calories and it doing nothing

CosmicScouser · 25/04/2025 18:11

Well done on your progress and commitment, all 💪

I'm jumping on the bandwagon if that's okay.

My focus is building strength, and improving cardio, diet, and mental health.

I had a good rhythm going last year and really started to tone up! But then I got injured, then got sick, then I started new job.

So, back to square one.... 🙄

Anyway. I'm just back from a 30min jog/walk.
It's was tough 🥵 but actually enjoyed it

Diet starts next week when I've had a chance to do a proper shop 🥬😬

LemonDrizzle23 · 25/04/2025 21:14

@TheRealHousewife I’m really sorry to hear how your health is affecting you. It must be very unsettling. I hope you get some answers soon.

Ive rejoined work after time off for bereavement, and walked back into a massive crisis 🙄 Have zero time for it to be honest... Just cannot be arsed. Have drowned my sorrow in too much Easter egg. Very sickly! Although I walked over 17,000 steps today, so hopefully that off-set some of it.
