⭐️OPEN TO ALL⭐️

Following on from ⭐️Move It March 2025⭐️

Spring has sprung at long last! ☀️ Are you ready for Active April?

To reach optimum health and vitality (as well as a slim bod) we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, our mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great! Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and generally eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost over 3 stone. After having been on the wrong side of 12st The last time I weighed I was hovering around 9st 2lbs. I would like to get back into the 8’s 🤞

Are you in😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

New members … Give it a go; it’s never too late! Come summer you’ll be pleased you did 😊

Beloved long timers it would be great for you to keep going❤️

Happy Easter everyone!
We're still away at the moment and having a lovely time, I think we all needed the change of scenery! Food has not been great but we’ve walked miles so hopefully not too much damage done.
Be gentle with yourself @WearyAuldWumman

Sighthoundsforever · 20/04/2025 18:41

@WearyAuldWumman thats a lot for you to contend with. Take it handy

instead of gorging on chocolate I have eaten my body weight in crisps - I’m out of control. Major kick up the backside to cop on needed here 😫😫😫

@Sighthoundsforever We’ve all been there. Try not to worry as what’s done is done. Drink loads of water to flush the saltiness through (it’s all the salt that’ll create a temporary gain) and start afresh tomorrow 👍❤️

Hello ladies hope your all well. I've not done good this month at all I've been up and down with my pounds. My eating has been absolutely crap. Not been counting my calories. Been very down lately. Due to handling financial side of home. I really need to get back onto my counting calories and eating right.
Thankfully I've not come of my wagon. No bad eating.
I really need to make the most of the last few days of April.

QueenMabby · 21/04/2025 07:34

Ok. I’m starting again. Had a weekend away so travel (incl flights) and 3 days of hotel and restaurant food.
I’ve re-weighed this morning and am going to track my calories.

SW: 10st 0.2lb
GW: 9st

I’m aiming to hit my goal weight in 12 weeks.

TakeAMinutePlease · 21/04/2025 10:07

Morning all.
I’m just checking in after 2 days of chocolate ridiculousness 😳
Back to usual business today

TheRealHousewife · 21/04/2025 13:01

Good Afternoon Ladies

Thankfully no one bought me an egg this year; I was gifted a white chocolate lindt bunny of which I’ve had 1/3. My other half gobbled the rest 😬

Menu
Meal 1 - All day breakfast - sausage, bacon, egg, tomato & b&b.

Meal 2 - Spicy chicken thighs & salad.
Drinks - Tea, black coffee with collagen, water.

Well I managed a work out on 3 out of 4 days of the bank hol weekend. Not sure it counteracted the amount of food though 😂

My one saving grace might be the fact that the dessert I made on Sunday was sadly terrible, and it’s all in the bin instead of our stomachs! I have minimal chocolate left as I was very clear I didn’t want eggs from all and sundry.

DS not technically back to school til Wednesday, but will be back to normal life (and food) tomorrow. He can have one more day of relaxing and we also have to do a bit of shopping for birthday parties coming up.

TheWayTheLightFalls · 21/04/2025 18:38

Worked today which helped. And don’t celebrate Easter, which definitely helped!

Today was a cheese sandwich for breakfast and then veg soup for lunch and dinner. And an Oreo. And coffees left right and centre. TOTM coming up so I don’t hold much hope for losses but will try to eat well and hopefully see a drop after. At 76kg at the moment, 75kg is my initial goal.

LemonDrizzle23 · 21/04/2025 19:45

Well, feeling slightly sick after a large amount of chocolate, I decided to break the remaining 1.5 Easter eggs up into their recommended portions. On average it was about 25g, equal to about 130/150 calories.
There are 16 portions of chocolate! Chocolate is so bloody calorie dense 🙄

LighterSpring25 · 21/04/2025 19:54

I'm a weirdo and I don't really like chocolate and the Walker crisps I get in don't serm to taste as good anymore so I've not been snacking.. I've been out socialising this weekend though so I've had a few wines which is worse.

I've got chilli for lunch tomorrow and Wednesday. No rice or any carbs with it.

I probably have not lost but hoping to have maintained. I'm a size 12 at 52 and actually don't hate my body but I know I'd be healthier at a size 10 and at least 1/2 stone or 1st lighter.

socks1107 · 21/04/2025 20:45

After my plateau that I haven’t broken in five weeks. I now have flu. I won’t get anywhere near my goal for holiday now. Can’t exercise and have no energy to think about food only eat what’s out in front of me.
so I continue to bounce around a 30 bmi and a weight of 80kg feeling thoroughly miserable and sorry for myself

Midnightstar76 · 22/04/2025 07:32

Morning, resetting myself today after a weekend of pure overindulgence. Missing WOW Wednesday just don’t want to see what they say after this week. Back on it!!!!!

LemonDrizzle23 · 22/04/2025 09:30

@LighterSpring25 I developed a proper obsession with the Co-op's own brand salt and vinegar crisps for a while. Fairly sure they were taking all the skin off my mouth 😂 so gave them up in the end.

@Midnightstar76 I’m also ignoring tomorrow’s WOW, as I know I’m puffy and full of salt and chocolate!

Back on it today. 50mins aerobics before breakfast. Going to find an excuse to walk DS up to the highstreet and back to get some steps in.

TheWayTheLightFalls · 22/04/2025 16:55

Meals today were baked beans (late breakfast), then these two salads (lunch/dinner). High veg content today!. + small quantity chocolate + berries. Haven’t calorie counted but happy. Also 1hr gardening in the sunshine.

TheWayTheLightFalls · 22/04/2025 16:55

Hope you feel better soon @socks1107
Glad to be back to routine today after the Easter holidays and our weekend away! Both children back to school/preschool and I WFH today. Food has been ok today and am planning to do a C25K run on the treadmill once the children are in bed

TakeAMinutePlease · 22/04/2025 18:31

I’ve eaten way too much this evening 😩

under60kgbyJuly · 23/04/2025 08:21

I've been MIA as on holiday, but relieved to find that I didn't gain on holiday and even lost marginally (there's a lesson there, too). Hopefully work will be slightly less stressful for the next few months too, so my aim is to get going finally and hit that goal.

SW: 63.4kg
CW: 62.2kg
GW: 60.0kg

TheRealHousewife · 23/04/2025 08:41

Good Morning All

Heres hoping you get the desired WOWs 🤞

I weighed at the weekend and was down a 1lb. However Ive not weighed today as I've had pain meds the past few days which always disturbs my natural rhythm. I’m trying to do without today.

Quick visit as I have a health appointment x

Today weigh in 14.0
I ended up having a horrible month. Where i could not concentrate on my evening eating did not care what I was eating. It was horrible. Hoping to have a better last final week of April.
Breakfast perfect lunch perfect. Control evening eating thats on top of the list.

Cheesecake53 · 23/04/2025 09:38

It was not a good choice to start the journey to lose about 30kg before Easter. I overate so much, but I am currently two days in without any sweets or cakes. Though it did not help my weight that I overate on Sushi yesterday. I plan to be much more sensible and to stay in my calorie allowance :).

SW 98.5kg/ 15st5
CW 99.3kg / 15st8
GW 70kg / 11st

PurpleWillow · 23/04/2025 09:44

Joy. Not such a great restart with the easter weekend, life got in the way and not in a fun way. Though it could be worse.

Good things:
I at least ate some fruit and veg
I had a little walk
I made soup
Fridge is full with healthy stuff
This afternoon I have time to mealprep

Lunch: yesterday's chicken soup
Dinner: asparagus with ham, soft boiled egg and cheese
Snacks option: banana, apple, cucumber, not-yoghurt, mealprep

What I'm mealprepping I'm not sure about yet. Broccoli and leek eggbites, tomato soup, tomato sauce, burritos, asparagus soup, tomorrows salad dressing, blackberry muffins, fridge pickled cucumber are options.

Good luck with the weighing!

socks1107 · 23/04/2025 10:35

Despite Easter and having the flu I’ve broken my plateau and lost 1.2lbs. I wander if it’s all the water I’m drinking to ease my mouth ulcers! Whatever it is I don’t care!

SW 13.13
CW 12.7
GW 11.8

according to chat gpt I’m on target for my goal
weight and date! Fingers crossed
