⭐️OPEN TO ALL⭐️

Following on from ⭐️Move It March 2025⭐️

Spring has sprung at long last! ☀️ Are you ready for Active April?

To reach optimum health and vitality (as well as a slim bod) we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, our mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great! Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and generally eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost over 3 stone. After having been on the wrong side of 12st The last time I weighed I was hovering around 9st 2lbs. I would like to get back into the 8’s 🤞

Are you in😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

New members … Give it a go; it’s never too late! Come summer you’ll be pleased you did 😊

Beloved long timers it would be great for you to keep going❤️

Well my pasta was delicious 😋 I went for spinach ravioli in a cherry tomato sauce! It was vegan, so no cheese. It did have almonds on top, which night have upped the calories. I resisted a desert, just had a spoonful of tiramisu! I didn't resist wine which I'm irritated at myself for 🙈

LemonDrizzle23 · 27/04/2025 20:03

How has everyone’s weekend been? Had a lovely day today - park in the sun both morning and afternoon, and watched the London marathon (on TV) inbetween. Lots of exercise and sunshine. Too much sweet stuff. We’ll see how it all balances out…

LBB2020 · 27/04/2025 20:08

Well I’m writing last week off and starting again tomorrow!

Cheesecake53 · 28/04/2025 00:14

Hi @LemonDrizzle23 (sister name :)) That sounds great! Mine was also good, because I am now in the zone of eating responsibly and staying within my calorie allowance. I am four days in today, and for the first time, I was not desperately craving something sweet (currently Häagen-Dazs Strawberries and Cream is my poison).
Wishing you all a lovely week!

TheWayTheLightFalls · 28/04/2025 06:52

Morning! Ok weekend here. Indulgent meal with booze on Saturday, but I’ve just weighed and the scales are back to where they were Friday, 75.9kg. I’m going to keep to a small eating window today, 11-6 or so, and I think it will be soup for both meals. Plus a zillion black coffees.

sending good Monday vibes ☀️

LegoTherapy · 28/04/2025 07:31

Please can I crawl back in in shame? Due to ds having an injury and my mum needing more help I’ve not been walking as much and my healthy eating has gone out of the window. Ive not been hungry and can’t stomach lots of things so I’ve been surviving on toast, crisps and biscuits which combined with lack of exercise over the past 6 weeks have seen me hit 58.8kg this morning! I’m bloated, bunged up and feel uncomfortable. Today marks school being back and the walking recommencing along with better eating. I have an event in 2 weeks and want to drop a few pounds for then to feel more comfortable. I’m stocked up on Greek yogurt and fruit compote, will make soup on my day off and I hope to get back to weights. I hope everyone is doing well? I’ve got no chance of catching up on the thread but I’m here for accountability.

socks1107 · 28/04/2025 08:22

I’m still tracking and being good but the Flu last week and not doing any exercise has continued my now 6 week stall. Really hoping for a loss this week. Any hope of meeting my goal by holiday has gone so I’m demotivated but plodding on

IDareSay · 28/04/2025 08:58

Haven't weighed since I decided to take April off to concentrate on settling in our two rescue dogs. I can safely say my step count has increased but meal planning fell by the wayside and the least said about Easter chocolate the better!

Just checking in to say I'll be back on it from today and will weigh in on Wednesday to see how much damage I have done; waistbands are feeling tight at the moment so pretty sure my weight has certainly gone up.

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 28/04/2025 17:42

Another who is creeping back in. What happened to April?!? I now have just two months to reach my summer holiday goal weight 🙄 I will WOW to assess the damage and start tracking again. Lots of social things to navigate over the next two months so I need to be really focused.

Hope everyone is doing well and all set for the May thread!

If my motivation wasn’t bad enough this morning a lady at work asked if I pregnant today. When I said no she replied with ‘you must be eating too much then’
Ive lost 22lb. A whole dress size down. I feel so down at that comment

That is INCREDIBLY rude of her, better you than me getting a comment like that. I’d be raging.

rainbow616 · 28/04/2025 19:10

@socks1107thats a truly awful thing for her to have said! I honestly can’t believe people say things like this as if it’s ok! Easier said then done, but try and not let it get to you. It says more about her then it does about you xx

HollyGolightly4 · 28/04/2025 19:52

@socks1107 what an incredibly bitchy comment. Clearly someone who has never moved beyond the mentality of a 13 year old.

22lb is fantastic- most of us here are nowhere near that! Random internet strangers think you are doing brilliantly!

I just want to echo all of this. 22lbs is a tremendous achievement.

socks1107 · 28/04/2025 20:49

Thank you everyone. Comments like that really are thoughtless and hurtful. Your kindness is lovely 🥰

LemonDrizzle23 · 28/04/2025 20:56

Hello @LegoTherapyand @WhatWouldTheDoctorDo I hope May is kinder to you than April.

@socks1107 unbelievably rude of that woman. And very unprofessional in the work place!

Today has gone well - 45min cardio and 16,000 steps. Step count boosted by desperately trawling town trying to find new school shorts for DS. Eating on point too now that my Easter chocolate is pretty much finished… Good day.

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 28/04/2025 21:10

So rude of that woman @socks1107 is it aomeone you’ll come into contact with again?

Thanks @LemonDrizzle23

I did half a strength class earlier, I felt pretty queasy. Hoping I’m just a little under the weather and not coming down with something.

LegoTherapy · 28/04/2025 22:26

@socks1107that's awful! Try not to let it get you down.

I’m happy with today and now that I’m heavier my calorie allowance is higher so my goal is 1800 calories but I came in at 1700. I’ve not done anything unusual on the walking front, this is my normal but I haven’t done it for 6 weeks hence the extra poundage. I am hungry but so tired and I know from past experience that ignoring bedtime hunger is a good thing because I never wake up ravenous so figure I really don’t need that 10pm snack. Here’s hoping the rest of the week goes so well.

Goodness, I’m already 1.5 pounds down! That just shows how too much salt affects weight. We had McDonald’s THREE times last week which is unheard of. I know the bread is awful but not sure just how bad the McPlant is. The salty fries are terrible for water retention though and it looks like some of weight gain was due to all the salt this last week. There’ll be lots of walking again today and it’s great to be back on it. I’m hoping to drop a few pounds by the 10th May and then the rest of the excess by my birthday in June. According to MFP a day like yesterday everyday every day would have me at 52kg in 5 weeks but I don’t have that much willpower I don’t think.

Congrats on the loss! Salt is a demon. I’m nearly a pound up this morning compared to yesterday and I’m blaming it all on the soy sauce heavy dinner I had last night. Water retention is no joke!

Fellsbells · 29/04/2025 10:49

sorry to hear about your health concerns @TheRealHousewife I hope the sunshine and warmer temperatures this week brings you a smile.

The Easter holidays were a calorie disaster for me, but I’ve been really strict for 5 days and made a big dent in the weight I’d put on. I’m enjoying eating healthy foods and tracking again. I’m half way through couch to 5km which is helping to boost my mood (unfortunately also my appetite).

LegoTherapy · 29/04/2025 11:20

I’ve just carried 3.1kg of bird feed to a big hill and it’s a lot of weight and how much I need to lose from my body. Losing the bird feed was easy 😁

Love this. Whenever I am using butter I work out how many blocks of butter I have lost Grin

OK start today - early meal of smoked salmon and a salad, coffee x2, now doing a bit of gardening.

LemonDrizzle23 · 29/04/2025 20:16

I like the idea of calculating how much “butter” I’ve lost 😂

No aerobics today, but still managed nearly 14,000 steps and decent eating. I think Im going to finish April the same weight as I started - having gone up on holiday and over Easter, and then down again. Thankfully there is very little in May to distract me, so maybe we see some progress!

Sighthoundsforever · 29/04/2025 20:28

@socks1107 just catching up on the thread here. I’m stunned by what that woman said to you. It says a lot about her that she could be so ignorant. We all think you are doing amazing 🤩. I hope she steps in a giant pile of runny dog poop in sandals on her way home from work!!!!
