⭐️ OPEN TO ALL ⭐️

Following on from ⭐️LOSE IT! Revive & Thrive January 2025⭐️

WOW January passed in a heartbeat! Let’s keep the momentum going ladies!

To reach optimum health and vitality (as well as a slim bod) we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, our mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great!
Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost over 3 stone. After having been on the wrong side of 12st Im now hovering around 9st 2lbs.

Are you in😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

Just staking my place.

I’m on holiday with a friend this week so won’t be weighing in. Probably just as well to be honest!

TealSloth · 03/02/2025 19:13

Is it possible when this month ends there's a link for ladies to follow please. And thnkyou again to a wonderful lady for posting feb link. I am quiet behind on thread.
Thankyou again.

iamyourequal · 03/02/2025 19:23

Thank you @TheRealHousewife and others for the welcome.
I have enjoyed reading what everyone else is eating, some very nice ideas noted!

Quiet day at work today and sadly no exercise, but I’ve eaten as planned:
B: Skinny latte & a pear
L: minestrone Soup & 1/2 sandwich
D: Roast chicken & gravy with lots vegetables
(& 1 spoonful mash)
tea, squash, diet soda.

Thank goodness Monday is done!

Goodafternoonmillie · 03/02/2025 19:29

@TealSloth there is always a link to the new thread, at the end of the old thread 👍🏻

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 03/02/2025 19:32

Hi all, my February hasn’t quite got off to the start I hoped for, and I’m away with work this week which provides a challenge for both calories and exercise, but a reasonably good day on the calories front.

b - boiled egg and toast
l - lentil soup, apple, 2 x falafel, humous, quavers
d - fish pie & steamed greens

s - a home made biscuit that one of my colleagues baked.

I didn't see it or missed it.

OnaMatUpHere · 03/02/2025 21:09

Day one! SW 84.45kg I managed to put on a kg over the weekend
Today was not too bad 1600 calories and 10,000 steps. It's shocked me how little food I can have for the amount of calories I am supposed to be having. I guess I will adjust 😕

Jaderz · 03/02/2025 21:14

I’m still KOKO but not getting far. Dropped off some of the water weight from my trip only to be felled with a terrible migraine all day. No exercise has been possible.

Have been struggling to keep track of food as been travelling, so busy, unwell or just not able to track the calories as I haven’t made the food. Hoping to get on a better track the next week or so.

I had got down to 66.5kg end of Jan but I think I’ve gained at least 1kg so in Feb I need to catch up to where I had planned to be near 66kg heading down into 65

FairyBloodyMary · 03/02/2025 22:20

A good start to the week exercise wise with over 11 miles walked today. I got the bus twice today too which is unusual but due to timings it was needed today. Food totally out of the window because I've not felt great today and have mainly eaten biscuits and not eaten any Avril's meals. I did make soup for tomorrow though.
Early night tonight in the hopes that tomorrow is less meh. @TheRealHousewife hope your migraine is gone soon and @StealthyBMI I hope you're feeling better soon too.

LBB2020 · 04/02/2025 07:37

Yesterday was a good day food wise ending the day at around 1200 (I’m aiming for around 1500). Steps were poor due to WFH and didn’t get chance to get out after work/school pick up. In the office today so should hit my steps at least today! I’ve booked and exercise class for Friday to ease myself back into the gym/exercise

Ethiopianflower · 04/02/2025 07:54

Lost 3.5lbs this week after having gained last week. Delighted with that. I try not get obsessed with scales as it doesn’t tell the whole story. A lot of water loss I am guessing this week. That said I’m delighted.
SW: 12st
CW: 11.1st
GW: 10.5st (I’m very tall - 5ft11 - so that would do me grand)

LemonDrizzle23 · 04/02/2025 09:11

Well my scale battery has given up the ghost, which feels like a reflection of 2025 so far 😂 I'm going to attempt to find a new battery, but also think I might treat myself to some new scales, as these are ancient!

Exercise going well, diet going so so. I have upped my veg without terrible consequences to my insides so far which is good. We've had family visiting for several weeks, so there's been lots of "family meals" just off the back of Christmas and new year. So hopefully Feb is the time to nail down the diet!

TealSloth · 04/02/2025 09:47

Morning all hope your all having a positive start to your day.
My aim this week is count calories and watch what I eat portion wise. Drink plenty of water.

Goodafternoonmillie · 04/02/2025 10:01

yesterday ended @ 1592 calories.

Today I woke up late so havent worked out this morning. I must have needed the sleep!
I am wfh today so going to go for a 40 min walk on my lunch break and that will be my daily movement.

B: Smoothie
L: I have made a Spicy Pea & Coconut Soup
D: Chicken & Salad

weigh day tomorrow!!

Hello You Lovely Lot!

@StealthyBMI That soup sounds right up my street! 😋 I hope you soon feel better!

Hi @TealSloth I always link the previous thread to the new thread 👍 Perhaps you missed it 👀 Im pleased you’ve found us now!

@Ethiopianflower Thats fabulous progress 👏

@FairyBloodyMary My migraine has mostly gone. Still have some pain down the right side of my face and feel shattered but on the up now, thank you x

@Jaderz Whats KOKO? I feel I should know but it eludes me at the moment.

@OnaMatUpHere It is surprisingly easy to inadvertently bump up calorie count with things like fancy coffees, condiments such as mayo, too many nuts and too much cheese. It goes with out saying alcohol is all empty calories. You’ll soon find your way!

Some great progress on this thread! I'm on the first fast day of the week today (I do 5:2) which means I have just water and tea (with a splash of milk) all day and then a 500 cal dinner in the evening.

Tonight's dinner will be homemade butternut squash and ginger soup with a slice of homemade granary bread and a square of 85% chocolate.

Busy day at work and then out this evening too, so the day goes by pleasingly quickly!

I'm hoping to lose around a lb this week which would take me to my next milestone on the Happy Scale app! I've lost 1lb each week in January though, so I'm due a plateau. Will see what happens when I weigh on Friday morning after my second fast day.

Fellsbells · 04/02/2025 16:20

Yesterday wasn’t ideal. So far today has been great. My belt is on the smallest hole so that’s encouraging!

CrescentMoonLanding · 04/02/2025 17:02

Can I join please?
I'm unhappy about my weight and eating.
At 42 I'm about 5 kg heavier than I want to be and it's creeping up. A lot of my clothes no longer fit.
There are two main issues: I have severe migraine and have to eat high carb snacks frequently through the day to avoid attacks. Not much I can do about that.
Secondly, I'm unhappy and exhausted by feeling so ill most of the time and eat chocolate regularly to manage these feelings. 🤦‍♂️Pretty much addicted. So that's where I'm hoping to cut down.

Never had to think about my weight before the last few years and it's unwelcome on top of everything else.
So any tips gratefully received! Has anyone ever cut a sugar addiction?

TheRealHousewife · 04/02/2025 17:14

Welcome to the thread @CrescentMoonLanding 👍. This is just a quick post as I’m about to start cooking. For the interim:- There is a load of information in these threads if you have a bit of time. Each thread usually has a link to the previous one x

@Fellsbells thats a great NSV 😃 my trousers are baggier today - its all starting to pay off!

@CrescentMoonLanding I haven’t cured a sugar addiction but over time I have definitely learned to manage it better and have healthier versions of what I am craving. I think I actually have a mild version of binge eating disorder. Its a very up and down trajectory!
I have a couple of zero sugar recipe books which I find useful!

Jaderz · 04/02/2025 18:58

I am not making much progress I just keep coming here and complaining! I don’t know what I need to do to get back in the zone. I didn’t drink for a month and will carry that on. I need to eat less I think and track properly

iamyourequal · 04/02/2025 19:45

Lovely to read all the daily updates. I tried to respond with a ‘clap’ for those with a weight loss,( but the clap means ‘thank you’ so I removed it incase it looked weird 😆!! )

I’m with you @Jaderz . I tried my best at dry January, but that led to carb-heavy sweet treats while being so good at not drinking, so that backfired somewhat! I’m back to tracking everything on MFP, (in the hope I will learn I’m just eating too much) to snap me out of the ‘poor me and my slug metabolism’ mindframe!

today:
B: small porridge & stewed apple, skinny latte
L: prawn sandwich & cup soup, tangerine
D: tomatoey pasta & possibly a glass of wine (it’s a celebration, honest!).
I managed a gym class today before work, and resisted Danish pastries at work, so heading in the right direction.

AnonymousMum37 · 04/02/2025 20:20

Had 2 meals the last few days, breakfast at 10:30/11 and then dinner at 5/6pm which makes it easier to stick to calories. But tomorrow I have an early start for work so I'll probably have some fruit and yoghurt at 6am and a light lunch.

I ran 10k this morning plus warm up and cool down. But I just feel really bloated now and rubbish. I guess it might be cycle related (I don't get periods with my coil but I still feel hormonally 'off' at times) or it might be because I'm having to take iron tablets and they screw with my digestion.

Meh.
