Following on from ⭐️LOSE IT! Revive & Thrive January 2025⭐️

WOW January passed in a heartbeat! Let’s keep the momentum going ladies!

To reach optimum health and vitality (as well as a slim bod) we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, our mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great!
Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost over 3 stone. After having been on the wrong side of 12st Im now hovering around 9st 2lbs.

I know I shouldn’t do it but weighed myself before dinner and I was a lot less than this morning so here is hoping I’m now on a downward trend

Made a great quick dinner tonight too

protein flatbread
scrambled egg
3 turkey bacon slices
gerkins
mustard and ketchup

pepper for snack

450 ish cals and made it under 10 mins

I haven't weighed today, will try and remember to do it first thing in the morning but I know I haven't been great this past week - not terrible, but not great either, came in a few hundred above my calorie count for the week at the end of last week and so far this week I'm pretty much just on the nose with 1500 a day - so I don't think I'll have lost much! I've just felt very much hungrier since Sunday and more snacky! This happens though, and I think the main thing I'm proud of is I've kept calorie counting even when I've had a 'bad' day - so remaining accountable! We're visiting friends at the weekend so I won't be in control of what food we're eating, so I'll just enjoy myself and try and still be healthy/have smaller portions where I can!

Dinner tonight is going to be some homemade roast veg ratatouille, cous cous and houmous in a bowl, nice and comforting - I may have a egg on top for some protein too 😊👍🏻

@Goodafternoonmillie Someone posted some CSA images overnight. I didn’t see them but plenty of users did. Apparently Mumsnet is managed/monitored overnight by unpaid volunteers. This is something that Mumsnet is looking at. In the interim they’ve suspended the facility to post photos.

I totally forgot to weigh this morning but will do it tomorrow.

Managed to stick to my calorie limit and got my 10000 steps in. A positive start! Now to try and keep that up. 😂 Roll on the rest of the week.

Happy Wednesday everyone. A small loss this week. Slightly annoyingly I weighed a bit lower a few days ago but gained some back. I blame the Filet-o-Fish.

Happy Wednesday everyone and well done to the losers.

I actually ate a proper meal of sorts tonight of a halloumi and beetroot wrap.

I'm so tired this week because I'm going extra for my mum and it's a lot of extra walking. Another 11 miles today and I did 20 push ups, some sit ups and some planks. I'm proud of my push ups because I didn't think I could even do them so I'm pleasantly surprised. I get a day off on Friday from some of the extra walking although it's swimming day so I'll still cover a fair few miles. I've not done any Caroline Girvan this week. I'm too tired.

Keep going everyone! You've got this!

Well done losers today.

Feeling I've lost my mojo & a bit down. I've been hungry & snacky this week & as a result stayed the same. It's a familiar pattern- all guns blazing for a month & then I lose faith when I stop losing.

Maybe folk can suggest new meals/ snacks I could get excited about? I'm.pescatarian. Downfalls are nuts/ bread/ chocolate which I was pff completely for January, & now creeping back.

I'm also still feeling I've a lot to lose compared to most others. I know it's daft, bit that's demotivating me 😔. Maybe just a negative week. I hope so.

Sounds like you have all got off to a great start this month!
This week has been so busy! I’ve managed to stick to my eating window and under my calorie goal. I haven’t quite hit my steps every day but average so far this week is only slightly under. I definitely need to start drinking more water which I find difficult as I don’t really get thirsty

my dinner plans changed too and we had chicken paella in the end 😋

DH has bought hot cross buns which are my faveeeee! Avoiding for now….

after a day of lots of exercise and ending up eating something I shouldn’t have I’m back up on the scale but this will help me to commit to a sensible weekend

I've had such a yo-yo week, weight has actually been going up every day but I'm still under the weather and think I must have been holding water/snacking too much for an energy hit. Yesterday I was really good and stuck to plan and weight has dropped again. Away again this weekend though so that's going to be hard to maintain 😭 I wish this cold would go so I don't feel so sluggish and foggy headed all day.

I've not been well either. Have cold and flu since yesterday but today feel alittle better. Have a pattern in your eating thats what's helping me.
This months goal is keep my portions size small. Good luck over weekend and hope you feeling better soon.
