⭐️ OPEN TO ALL ⭐️

Following on from ⭐️LOSE IT! Revive & Thrive January 2025⭐️

WOW January passed in a heartbeat! Let’s keep the momentum going ladies!

To reach optimum health and vitality (as well as a slim bod) we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, our mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great!
Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost over 3 stone. After having been on the wrong side of 12st Im now hovering around 9st 2lbs.

Are you in😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

I'm in and with a new name.
Let's do this!
I'm on holiday during half term but otherwise I'm carrying on with maintenance of around 8st 7lb.

SwizzelsDoubleLollies · 30/01/2025 10:02

Hi, I'm in.

Current weight 10 stone 10 lbs. I'm 5ft 3 and my first goal is 10 stone so I'm classed as not overweight.

I'm hoping to do this by eating high protein, low carbs, calorie counting and moving more.

Have a great time! And well done on maintaining 👏. I find maintaining just as tough as losing! I’m an example of that in recent times.

Placemarking & thanks for the new thread @TheRealHousewife! In February I’m hoping to hit my goal weight of 9st 2lb ish (I’m 5ft 6in so this is the lower side of normal BMI) & to maintain it. I eat one main meal a day & one lighter meal. I cut out chocolate, crisps, cake & biscuits for January & really reduced my snacking throughout the day (especially at night when watching the tv!)

StealthyBMI · 30/01/2025 11:41

I'm joining you all for February. Onto week 5 of Fast 800 (which I've decided is more like 900-1000 for me as I couldn't manage on 800.) Walking for an hour every morning too which is doing wonders to tone up my thighs, the wobble over the knees has nearly gone. Plan is to stick to this WOE until the end of Feb, then review, possibly sticking out the full 12 weeks and possibly switching to 5:2 at the end of Feb - see how I feel.
SW (01.01.25) 88.7KG
CW 83KG
TW (initial) 72KG and a healthy BMI.

SwizzelsDoubleLollies · 30/01/2025 11:48

@StealthyBMI I'm thinking of doing 5:2.

Is it best to do 2 days together?

NothingTraLaLa · 30/01/2025 12:22

Thank you for the new thread @TheRealHousewife 💐

@StealthyBMI I'm thinking of doing 5:2.

Is it best to do 2 days together?

I don't know - at the moment it's all day every day for me and while I'm used to it, I do get a bit hungry every few days and end up having to eat a bit extra to get my energy levels back up. I'm not entirely sure 5:2 will suit me either, I think I'd be better off trying to do 5 days of less-than-maintenance calories so I can have 2 days of a few more calories at weekends - rather than 5 normal healthy days and 2 hungry days!

Fellsbells · 30/01/2025 12:59

Thank you @TheRealHousewife

I’m in, dragging my peri-menopausal, slightly unhinged self out of the January blues and into February. Aiming to avoid inhaling mini eggs this month. Focusing on sleep, nutrition and exercise (aren’t we all!) I wanted to avoid MFP and tracking calories. It works well for me, but it’s time consuming keeping it accurate and I tend to either under eat or have a blow out. Aiming for being consistently average instead.

VioletIndigoBlueGreen · 30/01/2025 13:36

Hello, I'd like to join please! I'm doing well since Christmas at losing a few pounds as I'd like to get back to my goal weight of 9 stone 11 (currently 10 stone 6).

I'm mid 40s and find that it's so much harder to keep my weight where I want it these days compared with even just a couple of years ago.

I've done 5:2 for about 12 years now and find this is great for keeping me roughly where I'm happy with in terms of being a healthy weight, but I need to be stricter on non fast days to be the weight I want.

I've dropped 1lb per week since Christmas and am hoping to get below 10 stone by Easter which feels achievable.

As well as continuing my usual 5:2, I've decided to cut out any bread mid week which helps me make healthier lunch choices. I hope posting here will keep me accountable for the 9 pounds I want to lose by summer to get to my goal!

Happy to answer any 5:2 questions from my own experience if that's useful as I see a couple of people up thread are giving it a go?

VioletIndigoBlueGreen · 30/01/2025 13:40

@StealthyBMI @SwizzelsDoubleLollies I've sometimes done back to back fast days on 5:2 when that works best for my diary, but I normally do Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Interestingly I didn't feel any hungrier than usual on the second day of a back to back, which surprised me, though I had a lot less energy in my gym class on that day.

I always have only one meal on a fast day, as a 500 cal dinner is quite satisfying but 3 smaller meals really aren't. I drink plenty of water or mint tea, and find that works fine.

Goodafternoonmillie · 30/01/2025 13:48

Marking my place, hello everyone 🤩

My goal for February is to get under 10 st now, I want to see a 9 at the beginning!
I will be continuing with daily movement/workouts and MFP tracking and calorie counting.

LemonDrizzle23 · 30/01/2025 14:08

Thank you for the new thread @TheRealHousewife .I hope February sees better things for you health-wise.

Marking my place!

In January I nailed down my exercise routine and recently started adding ferments to my diet. BUT my overall calorie consumption was too high. Need to work on this in February.

SwizzelsDoubleLollies · 30/01/2025 14:16

@VioletIndigoBlueGreen Thanks for the information. I think I'm going to start next week and do Tuesday and Thursday.

SwizzelsDoubleLollies · 30/01/2025 14:22

I can see there are a few of wanting to see a 9 instead of a 10, lets do this.

I joined another thread under a different name and failed miserably. So determined to stay here with results.

Hello and welcome @SwizzelsDoubleLollies it looks like we are height and (current) weight twins!
I am doing much the same as you as well as sticking to a 16:8 fasting window.
My quarterly (end March) goal is 65kg (10 stone 3lbs) and next quarterly (end June) goal is to be 60kg (9stone 6lbs) then assess how I feel.

I'd like those goals too.

Just copying this over here from the January thread so I can find it next week on WoW:

SW: 72.5 kg beginning January (I was as high as 74.9kg last year!)
GW1: 70 kg end January (achieved and reset to 69kg)
CW: 68.5kg (4 kg lost) 29th Jan
GW2: 65 kg end March (in time for weekend away)
GW3: 60kg end June

TerroristToddler · 30/01/2025 16:15

Joining you from the January thread - I'm keeping going! Thanks for starting a new thread.

I started on 2 Jan. I calorie count and try to stay under 1,300 cals per day. My goals are to use the Peloton bike 4x week which I LOVE and do other workouts x2 per week (strength, treadmill, yoga, boxercise). I know I need to add more strength workouts in, but I just get a better buzz from cardio and the Peloton bike!

I'm 5ft 2.

SW - 140lbs
CW - 135.4lbs (whoop, finally at the (very very) top of the healthy BMI range!)
GW - 125lbs

Would ideally like to get to 130 by end of Feb, but that'll be tough as I'm a slooooooooow loser!

Ethiopianflower · 30/01/2025 16:39

Thanks for setting up this new thread. I have really enjoyed the January one and it has kept me motivated to feel we are in this together and I am not alone on this journey. My goal this month is to see the number 10 on the scales. I’m 11st 4lbs at the moment and am 5ft 11inches. I’m going through a very hungry all the time phase at the moment. Could eat a small child. Usually my appetite is small so it’s annoying me a bit.
best of luck ladies - we have this

HappyLittleTreeFriend · 30/01/2025 19:03

I'm in @TheRealHousewife thank you for setting up the Feb thread! I found the January one so helpful with meal ideas and also keeping me accountable with my calorie counting and it's working! So looking forward to Feb 😊👍🏻💜 new challenge for me will be the end of Dry Jan 😂😂 so my treat of chocolate most evenings will sometimes be a treat of wine instead! The key thing will be not to end up treating myself to both on the same day! 😂👍🏻

AnonymousMum37 · 30/01/2025 19:39

Hi everyone, I'm moving over from the January thread.

I'm in my late 30s, calorie counting on my fitness pal (1300-1500 cals daily) and running (slowly) 3x a week.

SW: 176.6lbs on 2nd Jan
CW: 168ish lbs
GW: 150lb

I will celebrate at 164lb though because that'll put me back in a healthy BMI 🥳

TheRealHousewife · 30/01/2025 20:55

Welcome to Februarys thread @HappyLittleTreeFriend @Ethiopianflower @TerroristToddler @IDareSay 👍

I cleaned and closed the kitchen at 18:45 and I find once that’s done I’m done with food. I’m not a snacker generally so unless I’ve missed a meal throughout the day I’m ok waiting until the next day. I find if I eat enough protein/fibre/healthy fats I’m satiated enough until next meal time.

Off to shower/bed for an early night 😴
