⭐️ OPEN TO ALL ⭐️

Following on from ⭐️LOSE IT! Revive & Thrive January 2025⭐️

WOW January passed in a heartbeat! Let’s keep the momentum going ladies!

To reach optimum health and vitality (as well as a slim bod) we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, our mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great!
Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost over 3 stone. After having been on the wrong side of 12st Im now hovering around 9st 2lbs.

Are you in😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

(Afternoon even!!)

Jaderz · 16/02/2025 17:43

I have sabotaged myself with a bit of a stupid food and wine binge this weekend. It wasn’t too bad but I slept terrible and am annoyed with myself. I don’t really drink much anymore and realising how shit it made my sleep has reminded me why!

I am still annoyingly constipated and I can’t seem to get out of the cycle which isn’t helping my mood

Goodafternoonmillie · 17/02/2025 07:12

@Jaderz this was me last weekend with junk food - so silly like you say because it makes you feel terrible 😞

30 min low impact workout completed this morning ✅

its half term so lots of plans this week with my DC.

Jaderz · 17/02/2025 07:25

@Goodafternoonmillie it really throws you doesn’t it.

Well I’m back up to 67.5kg. Basically I am getting nowhere at all!

I intended to get up and walk the dog this morning but it was so cold I went back to bed in my weird mood. Going to go buy some fybogel today to try to sort my constipation out

TheRealHousewife · 17/02/2025 09:54

Good Morning Everyone!

Currently weighing daily as scales are being stubborn! Happy to report a 1lb down. 👍

@TealSloth It was tasty! So quick and simple too.

@Goodafternoonmillie Hope you enjoyed the park & the fresh outdoors yesterday! I ask my OH if he wanted a visit to the coast yesterday but he just wanted a cosy one cooking at home. Well done on getting your exercise in this morning!

@Ethiopianflower Fabulous progress! You must be so very pleased with that!

@WhatWouldTheDoctorDo The lurgy you caught is hanging around! Hope it ups and offs this week!!!

@Jaderz Don't stress about it! Try to reset and plan you intake for the next few days. Try upping your fibre and liquids (not alcohol 😅) to ease the bathroom situation. Do you have chia seeds. Mix a teaspoon into yogurt and milk, leave to soak. I had mine with blueberries. Yummy and provides loads of fibre too.

Menu
Meal 1 - Greek yoghurt, blueberries, Greek yoghurt and splash of milk. Tea. Black coffee, water. 123 Calories
Meal 2 - Mushroom Omelette. Tea, water. 395 Calories
Meal 3 - Massive chopped chicken salad with quinoa. Tea, water. Calories 510

@Jaderz Oh no, I hope the fybogel helps. I was a bit sluggish the last week or so, so took Senakot over a few nights and finally now feeling back to normal.
I weighed in at 80kg today so hoping to get down into the 79s this week.
I've been on the omelettes too recently @TheRealHousewife though I hate mushrooms so stick with spring onion, tomato, a small amount of grated cheese and occasionally a slice of ham. We have chickens so always have plenty of eggs! I also made a huge salad of roasted cauliflower, edemame and feta at the weekend with lots of flax and chia seeds stirred through so that's my lunch for the next few days.

TheRealHousewife · 17/02/2025 10:56

@StealthyBMI That salad sounds delicious 😋!

I’m still trying still going on my journey but wonder if I need go just give up weight loss for a while again and maintain and just focus on fitness. The frustration and disappointment does start to grind you down

I’m 2 movicol sachets in today 💪 praying something works

FairyBloodyMary · 17/02/2025 20:34

Checking in after a break where I've gained a bit. Too much salt plays a part plus the usual sluggish digestive system. I'm now in holiday and not worrying about it but when I get back I'm going to try to get back into better habits. I look ok in my swimsuit so I feel better and Dd says I have the figure she'd want as an adult. I'm about 12kg more than her with her size 4/6 perfectly proportioned figure. It's so unfair and I didn't look that at 16. She's an inch shorter and looks to remain short like me.

I've not read through the thread but I hope you're all ok and making progress but if not then don't worry, keep going, or ease off a while and get back to it when you're ready.

Jaderz · 18/02/2025 06:55

Movicol is basically salt so I’m going to be gaining for a while. Still no progress, taken another movicol. Getting worried now..

TealSloth · 18/02/2025 08:39

Morning everyone hope everyone is well. I've got on my bike this morning for 5 mins. Had a busy day yesterday could not fit any workout in. Needed my sleep last night. Hoping to get 20 mins in today. Good luck ladies.

Goodafternoonmillie · 18/02/2025 08:39

Aww hope you are ok @Jaderz, movicol takes a few days doesn’t it? I hope you get a clear out soon!!

@TheRealHousewife ahhh do you live near the coast? Its a bit of a day out for us where I am but I absolutely love walks by the sea!!!

I have woken up with super scratchy throat, nose full and cotton wool head. Thank god its half term so we didnt have to get up early and get ready for school. I am going to try and do 20 mins yoga stretches some point through the day. Feeling so meh! February has been way harder for me than January was! Feel like I havent made any progress at all!

TheRealHousewife · 18/02/2025 15:06

Not that close @Goodafternoonmillie but close enough to go for a stroll on the beach and get back the same day. I love the sea air; I find it invigorating 🌊

I've done my WOW today, as I'm away this evening with work so no scales tomorrow morning.

SW- 140lbs
CW- 132.8lbs
GW - 125 lbs

Down another 0.6lbs - not a big loss, but I tend to lose very slowly and was chuffed last week that I'd lost 1.5lbs so i expect a few 0.5lbs for the next few weeks. I've noticed a definite pattern - I lost small half-pounds and then a sudden 1.5-2lbs, then a few weeks of half pounds again. I honestly don't care as long as its going down!

Have been poorly with the flu for a week and a half so exercise has been lacking. Managed to get back on my Peloton this weekend and do a short 35min ride, so think my lungs are starting to get back to normal. Am off for a long walk with a friend this evening to get my steps in!

Am away for a long weekend from Friday with family - am going to try hard to stay on track but will have at least 2 meals out where calorie counting will be very difficult sadly! Am tempted to reduce my cals tomorrow and Thurs to make a bit more room in the deficit to act as preventative damage control for the weekend!

TheRealHousewife · 18/02/2025 17:28

@TerroristToddler Thats great progress! Congratulations 🥳👏👍 Pleased to read you’re over the flu!

LBB2020 · 18/02/2025 21:48

Have been back on track the past couple of days after a not so great weekend! Although I am hungry this evening and it’s taking everything in me not to go and raid the children’s snacks and biscuits!

TheRealHousewife · 19/02/2025 07:00

Good Morning

WOW - 2lbs lost this week. Pleased with that. As I was more or less maintaining or even gaining I’ve shaved a couple of hundred cals of my daily allowance - 1000 ish now and I was eating 1200 ish before. I realise that sounds low but I don’t move much (limited), petite in stature and have under active thyroid. For the last week and this coming week I’ve put myself on a ‘boot camp’. I’ve moved more (than normal for me), tried to use my hand weights daily and food has been weighed out. I eat nutrient dense food and try to get around 80g of protein and 28g of fibre each day. This helps keep me satisfied 😊

@LBB2020 Well done on swerving the snack cupboard!

Menu
Meal 1 - Chia yoghurt pot. Tea. Black Coffee. = 123 cals
Meal 2 - Halloumi Stir fry. Pecans. Tea. Water. = 473 cals
Meal 3 - Salmon tray bake. Green tea, water. = 478 cals
Also having water throughout the day.

Come on ladies, I know it doesn’t feel like it but Spring is around the corner with the promise of warmers days and get togethers. Keep on it, you’ll be pleased you did! ☀️🥳

Therealhousewife that's brilliant well done!

TheRealHousewife · 19/02/2025 07:44

Thank you @socks1107 . It’s the first real loss I’ve had this year really. I’d been bouncing around all over the place 😬. I took my head out of the sand as I needed to get really real about it.

OP posts:
Jaderz · 19/02/2025 08:25

Well done everyone. I also have a cold virus (again). Movicol is not really doing an awful lot yet, some change so I might take 3 x a day from 2 x. I’m trying to stay on track generally with food but I have no energy. I am late for work and done no exercise

Not really weighing properly lately I’m beyond caring this week 😂

ForestDragon · 19/02/2025 08:28

Amazing work @TheRealHousewife ! Glad to see you're out of the slump. Inspiring! I also have under active thyroid, though it's pretty well controlled at the moment so I don't think it's causing me issues with weight.

Wow for me too:
SW: 94kg
CW: 88.3 kg
GW: 70kg

So I'm 5.7kg down (12lbs) which is great and I'm glad to be under 90kg and 29 BMI. But it came at the cost of having food poisoning which really wasn't great! Didn't really eat for 3 days. I'm trying to roll with it and just get back to eating properly and healthily, then I'll do some exercise again. Am a bit worried about eating food prepared outside my house now though, especially meat. Might opt for veggie lunches for a bit at work at least, less chance of issues with those I think.

StealthyBMI · 19/02/2025 08:30

Well done @TheRealHousewife! Great work. Sometimes we do need those little boosts to reset the weightloss I think.
I'm weighing in today at 79.75kg so .65kg down from last wed. I'm happy with that as it takes me under 80kg for the first time in years! I've done my hours walk this morning and planning gym/swim/steam later so I will be eating plenty of protein today.

Fellsbells · 19/02/2025 08:37

Amazing effort @TheRealHousewife well done.

I’m a pound up. The slow upward trend is a wake up call. Will do better.

socks1107 · 19/02/2025 09:01

I've lost 2.5lb this week!

SW 13st 13
CW 13st
GW 11s 8

I'm so thrilled with how this is going and my determination. Well done everyone for another week whether it's a loss, gain or maintain. The fact we're all still here posting is great

jane46b · 19/02/2025 09:19

Another 2lbs off for me this week!

SW: 12st 4.2lbs (1st Feb)
CW: 11st 12.4lbs
TW: 11st (for now)

I'm surprised to see a loss this week however delighted. My fasting went to pot this week as I had stuff on - including my ward winning nursing team of the year at an awards ceremony - I'm so so delighted that you all must also know 😂
So of course that had to be celebrated!

Back on track, and hope for another 1-2lb off next week 🤞🏼
