⭐️ OPEN TO ALL ⭐️

Following on from ⭐️LOSE IT! Revive & Thrive January 2025⭐️

WOW January passed in a heartbeat! Let’s keep the momentum going ladies!

To reach optimum health and vitality (as well as a slim bod) we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, our mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great!
Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost over 3 stone. After having been on the wrong side of 12st Im now hovering around 9st 2lbs.

Are you in😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

*oh yes, goal weight I would be happy with would be 75kg as I’m an athletic build ( if I said big boned sounds like excuse but I am 🤣)

Puffalicious · 12/02/2025 22:45

Hey folks,

Weighed yesterday & down 1lb after STS last week. I'm not counting as much, so need to get back on it. It's slow loss, but I need to keep on & not lose faith.

SW Jan 1st 14st 2lb
CW 13st 8 lb
TW 11st 7lb

Goodafternoonmillie · 13/02/2025 07:03

The scales cause such a head mess for me sometimes. Spent yesterday annoyed with myself for gaining 2 lbs and giving in to bad habits at the weekend, even thinking to give it all up (again!!). Weighed today out of curiosity and it said 10 st 2.6 lbs. So if today had have been a WOW I would have only gained 0.6 lbs and would have been much less stressed in my mind.

25 mins bodyweight strength workout done this morning ✅

B: Smoothie
L: Stew
D: Chicken & Rice

IDareSay · 13/02/2025 09:55

Forgot to weigh yesterday, gah.

SW: 72.5 kg beginning January (I was as high as 74.9kg last year!)
GW1: 70 kg end January (achieved and reset to 69kg)
CW: 68.5kg (4.0 kg lost) 12th Feb
GW2: 65 kg end March (in time for weekend away)
GW3: 60kg end June

A gain of 0.3kg this week so I have basically been treading water for 2 weeks. This would be great if I was trying to maintain but I'm not!
I think my end March target of 65kg, losing 3.5kg in the next 6 weeks is doable but I will have to seriously buckle down. If I can reach the 67's by the end of February that will help.

I have stuck to 16:8 but DH has been baking bread and that is my downfall; the odd couple of slices with garlic cheese have been creeping in, and I had two lunches out (with wine).
Really must get back on the treadmill and stop extra calories creeping in.

TheRealHousewife · 13/02/2025 11:24

Good Morning You Lovely Lot

I’m batch making a pot of spicy veg & lentil soup this morning. I will leave several portions out for lunches and the rest will be portioned into the freezer. I do enjoy a spicy soup 🍜

Great loss @FaeryQueen and fabulous progress overall 👍👏👌

@ts96 Great start! 😮 👏

@socks1107 Youre making fab progress! 👌

Welcome to the thread @OldCat79 Sorry to read about your hip pain. Hopefully you’ll get some relief soon!

@Puffalicious The little losses soon add up! Well done 👍

@Goodafternoonmillie Try not to stress. Thats why I advocate for also looking at your long term progress and if the trajectory is downwards you’re winning ❤️

@IDareSay Ive been treading too and I know just how frustrating it can be. All I’d say is keep going because if you are creating a calorie deficit overall you will lose 👍x

I am currently weighing every day and my weight differs day to day so much! Like you, there are some days when I weigh the same or more than I did 7 days previously, other days my weight has dropped by 2kg from 7 days previously. It's annoying but now I can see the pattern it helps me stay focussed (not sure it. My chart on Nutracheck shows all the ups and downs - as long as it's following the trend them I'm happy. Within this timeframe I've had 3 weekends away, 2 close family birthdays, had a period and been unwell which accounts for lots of the wobbles. I also have scales which I have to position really carefully on our bathroom floor to get them not to wobble, and how I stand on them definitely makes a difference to the number (naturally I shift around until it settles on a number I like!)
edited to say I did copy and paste my chart in but it didn't post!

StealthyBMI · 13/02/2025 12:17

Ooh just double checked where I'm at on progress and I am halfway to my initial goal weight of 72kg! Halfway to a healthy BMI!

Jaderz · 13/02/2025 15:26

I also weigh every day but after 2 years I get less upset about the daily weights and am looking at trends. I just like to see what’s going on

I am the same weight today as yesterday but I would expect a drop the next couple of days

Goodafternoonmillie · 13/02/2025 15:52

Maybe I will start daily weighing!

socks1107 · 13/02/2025 17:23

I weigh daily and put it into happy scale which works out my average. Week on week it's come down but i get daily fluctuations

Goodafternoonmillie · 14/02/2025 08:21

I used to weigh daily years ago and became a bit obsessive 🤪

I have downloaded the app @socks1107 , will be good to see the weekly average.

30 mins vinyasa yoga today ✅

💖 Happy Valentines Everyone 💖

Jaderz · 14/02/2025 10:59

I am probably weighing more than I ought to and I don’t advise daily if you might get obsessed with it. I am same today no change but that’s good I just don’t want any gains now I am on track

ts96 · 14/02/2025 20:40

You are all so kind, what a lovely wee group. ❤️

Stuck to calories and managed to get some aerobics and weights in the past few days. Trying to start to build in healthy habits that are manageable enough that they will hopefully just become routine and then can be built upon. Managing to successfully refuse all the junk that gets put on the staff room table. 😂 Not easy when things are stressy and it's there and available. But staying strong! Feeling positive.

I'm aiming to weigh twice a week but I am definitely prone to getting a wee bit obsessive about these things so might try to cut that back to just the Wednesday if it's becoming an issue.

LBB2020 · 14/02/2025 22:53

Went completely off plan today, so annoyed with myself! Back on the wagon tomorrow

Goodafternoonmillie · 15/02/2025 08:39

Morning All

40 min full body dumbbells this morning ✅

from March I might try to follow a training plan instead of random workouts as I go 🤣 🤔

going to the cinema tonight to see Bridget Jones, snacks will be consumed so keeping the daytime as healthy as I can and drinking lots of water.

have a good weekend everyone!

Fellsbells · 15/02/2025 10:47

Well done everyone, even if it’s just for hanging around.

I’ve been hanging around rather than making much of an effort. I did do a work out yesterday which has motivated me to do another today. It was a reality check seeing myself in sports wear instead of fluffy jumpers. I can see where the extra few pounds are sitting.

socks1107 · 15/02/2025 15:13

Happy Saturday everyone! First time in six weeks I've had a major binge.
X2 chocolate hot cross buns
A whole 15 piece bar of chocolate
A packet of crisps

I have a full valentines dinner to have later that my dh bought so don't want to let him down! I think it would be my time of the month ( partial hysterectomy) so won't be too hard on myself. I'd shoved a new low weight today and just couldn't help myself

ForestDragon · 15/02/2025 18:14

Checking in to see some friendly faces! I have inadvertently put myself on an extremely effective diet by getting food poisoning 😥Not the most fun way to lose 3 kg... Hopefully body will be back to normal tomorrow and I'll see where the scale settles. Am currently feeling very sorry for myself though, have eaten nothing but a bit of toast since Thursday night!

I see the weighing every day debate is still ongoing! I agonised over that quite a bit in January's thread. I think overall I'm mentally better off only weighing once a week, but it is still very tempting to jump on just to see! They all sync to my Fitbit app as we have the Fitbit scales, but I've mostly been going in to remove non-wednesday ones, which gives me a steady line. I think it's probably a personal thing though - if you can weigh and not be derailed or put off then it's quite nice to do it every day in some ways.

TheRealHousewife · 15/02/2025 18:57

Good Evening All

I don't know where the times gone these past few days! It's flown by!

No movement on my weight so I'm doubling down on portions etc. We'd been debating about baking a cake for the weekend but I've taken an executive decision to step away from the oven 😅

Tonight supper was Spicy Prawns, lambs lettuce and chopped salad 🥗

Hope you all enjoy your evening!

@TheRealHousewife it looks delicious and healthy.

I've done really well today controlled my eating. Done work out. Plus gone for a walk. Sat with potatoe waffle bap. For me at the weekend it's a big success.
Enjoy the rest of your evening ladies.

Goodafternoonmillie · 16/02/2025 08:46

@TheRealHousewife that looks delicious!!
I love prawns 😋

30 mins cardio completed this morning ✅

hope everyone is having a good weekend. Im taking the kids to the park this morning, get some fresh ❄️ air.

LBB2020 · 16/02/2025 09:28

Back on track yesterday (well I stayed within my calories but that did include McDonald’s!). Step count was rubbish so hopefully make up for it today

Ethiopianflower · 16/02/2025 11:11

I did a sneaky weigh 2 days before my usual day for weighing. I’m down 2lbs and delighted with that . I’m now the lightest I have been in 4 years. Need to make sure I keep it that way now and just keep consistent. Heading away with the girls at the end of the month and will feel much more comfortable in my clothes and appearance. I’m going to go shopping for a few bits for it as a reward. My whole form has massively improved on this journey - feel revitalised and self confidence has improved. Wishing you all a lovely weekend - we have this!!!

LBB2020 · 16/02/2025 11:54

Well done @Ethiopianflower!
Up 0.75lbs this week which is disappointing but I did have takeaway pizza and a box of chocolates on Friday so was to be expected I guess

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 16/02/2025 14:50

Morning all, I think there’s finally light at the end of my lurgy tunnel. After feeling I might have peaked on Wednesday, I was much worse the last half of the week. I’ve barely moved from the sofa and have been eating for comfort.

I did manage to make a tasty batch of chicken noodle soup though which I was pleased with!
