Morning. I'm liking the motivation on this thread. Yesterday was poor exercise wise due to a sick child. Today I plan a long dog walk whilst listening to a podcast and a 45 minute strength workout at home.
Food was pretty good yesterday and I've just binned the remaining Christmas biscuits so that will help. However I always find the first half of a week easy, my resolve dips by a Friday!

I might try eating only between 10am and 6pm this week to see if that helps with weight loss. Has anyone else tried this 16:8 thing?

A friend has recommended it. I do usually eat dinner early anyway as it's something that's stuck since my daughter was younger. Not sure I'm up for the two day fasting thing as I might die of total despair on 500 calories a day! 😂

Hi! Joining in because I need some motivation. I lost a stone and a half between August - December last year but have put a little bit back on over Christmas. Finding it hard to get back into a better routine so far.

@RestingLettice I did the 500 cal days many years ago and I don’t think I could do it now, it really would make me miserable! Even looking at those 10 cal jellies in the supermarket brings back the feelings of sadness!

I’m really trying to be better with the snacking this week, stick to 1600 calories and keep up with my workouts. I find if I plan my whole day of calories in advance it does help me stay on track. Have lost 1lb so far but feeling impatient about the rest.

@GrannyClanger yes I don't think I could do 500 calories even if it's only for two days of the week. It sounds utterly miserable!

I've started planning my daily food by popping it into fitness pal in the morning and then trying to stick to it. So much harder losing weight now I'm in my 50s!!

Joining too if I may. Great to have some dieting companions. I'm 5 5 and my weight's crept up to 12 9 so need to lose 2.5 stone. 1 stone will be a good start and have a weekend break on 21 Feb as an incentive. Am going for 1200 calories a day plus exercise. Usually use MFP but will look at Nutracheck.

Can I join? I lost 38lbs last year (24lbs doing Fast 800 Keto and 14lbs in calorie deficit)
Been mostly been maintaining since then but a couple lbs creeped on and I want to get to my ultimate goal weight of 9st 12lb (1st 2lb away)

14/01 weigh in: 11st 2lb

Planning on Fast 800 Keto for the next month then will see how I feel about continuing or moving into calorie deficit

Oh I'm definitely up for this! Had a procedure recently and have lost my taste for sweet snacks which are my weakness!
I'm 65kg aiming for 62kg which was my pre-covid weight. I'm going to try and stick to 3 balanced meals a day only and no biscuits/ice cream/or anything sugary.

I'll join, I lost 20kg last year then put on a couple of Kgs over Christmas. I'm back in the groove as of today (it's taken me 2x weeks to get there). I yse weight watchers app for recording food.

Cw 95kg
Target 28/2 87kg
Overall target 70kg.

Finished the day on 1511 calories!

It was the large glass of wine that killed me at the end of a super challenging day at work!

Only 5023 steps done too, too many meetings for my liking!

I'm going to start with keto 800 but only for a few weeks to get the weight loss started, then intermittent fasting, like a version of 5:2 to fit in with my working hours. I need to lose15kg ☹️

How's everyone getting on today? I'm not as hungry as yesterday but I have just had a biscuit treat...!

I've made a lasagne for dinner - and a lovely garlic bread for the rest of the family... I will not be partaking.

I'm working from home today so my step count is low - am hoping to get a break in before it gets dark and actually hit 10000 today.

I'll join this if that's ok. I've lost 2lb this week and made some great changes to what I'm eating and drinking. I've probably 3.5 stone to lose still so starting with a stone will be a good way to head into spring

My highest weight was 144kg (nearly 23 stone) but I've got down to 74kg. My goal weight is 10st 7lbs, which is about 67kg so I can't believe how close I am!

I've done it so far by calorie counting, and one slowly started to do more exercise. I now feel like I live at the gym. I'm going to Pilates later today.

Managed to do my 10.000 steps today as out & about. Yesterday wasn't quite so good. Been fairly good with the diet though and am eating lots of soup!! Off up to London tomorrow for the day though so have to avoid temptation which might be hard!

I'm managing to stick to the Fast 800 Keto pretty rigidly (i tend to fall between 800-900 most days). Started on Saturday so will do my official weigh in on Friday

Today I've had:

Berries, cherries, chia seeds, Greek yoghurt (180 cals)
Fast 800 shake, cherries (225 cals)
Bolognese sauce, cabbage, parmesan (360 cals)
4 cups of tea with soy milk (100 cals)
Loads of water and nettle tea (0 cals)
Total: 864 cals

I tend to have the same breakfast and lunch each day and vary my dinner. My eating window is usually 9-5 then an16 hour fast

I can't do any exercise at the moment as I'm recovering from flu and have severe fatigue and also sinusitis so that's really annoying!

Had a good day food wise!

1113 calories

5500 steps

45 min class at the gym which equalled 298 calories burned 🥵

Also had a walking pad delivered today, to get my steps in on days I do not get to the gym, or don't close my exercise ring xx
