At work today 2 people commented that I had lost weight - first time since my weight loss journey that anyone has said a thing. Pathetic of me, but it really made my day

It does doesn't it?

The last 10lbs I've lost have really shrunk my belly and I've suddenly started looking quite 'slim' - was in tbe office yesterday and had multiple people comment on it. Felt nice 😌

Yes totally. It's about finding our health, the weight loss is definitely a bonus

Bit late logging on here this week! Well done to everyone who’s lost

I’ve plateaued again at 11.3st but struggling with low blood pressure so that’s taken priority. I’m actually in hypotension range and been feeling very faint and dizzy. Booked in to see GP but as usual it’s a 2 week wait.

However it’s still a 1 stone loss since the beginning of January and I’m still eating very sensibly, it’s just I can’t exercise much at the moment which is a bit of a pain. At least it hasn’t gone back on at the moment and will try to stay focused on eating healthy to avoid that whilst I can’t physically move/exercise much! 🙄

Scarecrow2016 · 27/02/2025 12:43

@RestingLettice a stone since January is a huge loss. A 2 week wait for a GP appointment is not so great.
I track calories for all meals/snacks apart from dinner - as my husband cooks this and it was too much hassle to work out the calories. But this week I've been a little slack and had Doritos with a mexican dish as well as sour cream and salsa. Also yogurt with a homemade fish curry. I've eaten rice and pasta too. I didn't think it would make a difference and to be honest I'm so careful during the day it didnt feel like a massive deal. But the scales have gone up a lb overnight. Cutting back today to try and get back on track.

Yes I find eating pasta or things like that do the same. Also bread. Well I’ll eat very carefully why I can’t exercise too much and hopefully it’ll still move downwards, albeit very slowly!

Final weigh in for me in this 6 week block. Down to 10st 1.6lbs which is half a stone off my New Year weight. Not as much lost as many of you but have shifted the Christmas podge at least. Still aiming for something starting with 9st one day. Good luck everyone and well done! Have appreciated the company xx

Fibrous · 28/02/2025 08:10

Just did my weigh in too. I'm 59.6kg, which is 4 kg down in the six weeks since we started, and takes me to BMI 24.8. I've not been calorie counting, just focussing on fibre, so it hasn't been that difficult and I plan to carry on. Would love to get to BMI of 20 or 21 as I am carrying a lot of weight on my lower half. If I could lose it all from there I'd be happy!

Well done everyone.

HorrorFan81 · 28/02/2025 08:15

Banking a 2lb loss this week 🥳

SW (Jan 24) 190lb
SW (Jan 25) 161lb
CW 144lb
GW 138lb

Getting close!

Are we sticking around on this thread for those of us with more to lose?

You are so close to that 9st bracket! Thats my goal too. It's been 12 years (pre kids) for me

RestingLettice · 28/02/2025 09:06

Well done all!! Some great results.

My aim is healthy food, portion control, no sugar & processed and hopefully get moving again as soon as I can. I think it’ll be a slow process this time but happy to keep logging in here for longer if others want to.

starting weight 12st 3lb
current weight. 11st 3lb
target weight. 9st 7lb

DuckWithOneWing · 28/02/2025 09:38

I woke up early this morning and went for a run before work. I'm not a morning person, but it's still too dark to run after work and I've missed it. This morning was colder than I anticipated though!

My goal weight is 10st 7lbs and I can't believe how close I am. I've got 6lbs to go!

Great work on the run! I did a 50 minute walk after dropping the kids off at school and plan another one later. Will do some core work too. My tummy has a 'flat but jiggly' thing going on

I am 6lb off goal weight too! Hoping by this time next month I can move on to maintenance...

Littlemissweepy · 28/02/2025 10:18

If some are keeping going I’ll join whatever thread - would be good to have the motivation to get to the 9st bracket!!

I have eaten healthily the whole month but tired to do it in a way that is sustainable for me - ie not banning all treats, having the odd meal out. But dropped the foods that were really giving me nothing - like crisps and handfuls of wine gums. Instead I will mindfully have a bit of chocolate or a slice of traybake. I have also cut back the alcohol drinking to about half my usual level.

I am a big exerciser - 6 days a week I am in the gym or out running. This morning I have done a heavy weight training session. And I have discovered that I just can’t eat really low cal (impressed by those that can!) so am focused on 80%+ of the food I consume being high protein/ high fiber/ clean/ healthy fats/ not processed. I am still consuming around 1800 to 2000 calories a day but don’t feel hungry. If I don’t fill up with a meal I go into constant graze mode so my meals are at least 500 calories each. Still managing a deficit most days thanks to my exercise cals.

Loved reading all your posts and have taken lots of inspiration from them.

HorrorFan81 · 03/03/2025 20:31

Finally started feeling well enough to get back to the gym, which is progress. Focusing on lifting heavy weights, my core, and then getting as many steps as I can. Still on Fast 800 Keto and feeling fine on it. Haven't really deviated at all for the last few weeks and losing steadily. Haven't weight since last Friday so will do a mid week weigh in tomorrow and see where I am up to
Paris next week so not planning on sticking to 800 - just focusing on low carb high protein. I have two drinks receptions tho (free wine!) Which will be a challenge...

nodtik · 09/03/2025 01:11

Forgot to do the final weigh in bit!

SW - 12st 0lbs
CW - 11st 6lbs

Total loss 8lbs!!

HorrorFan81 · 09/03/2025 09:04

I've lost another 2lbs this week, which is 48lbs in total (started Jan24)

CW 142lbs
GW 138lbs

So close!

Scarecrow2016 · 13/03/2025 09:41

Hello - which thread did everyone move to? I'm missing the chat. :)

Fibrous · 13/03/2025 12:48

I'm still hanging around. Weighed myself at the gym this morning - 58.8 kg. Weight loss has slowed down but that's another 0.8 kilos since I last posted two weeks ago. I have felt a bit unmotivated recently and definitely had some bad habits creeping back in but feel back on track again now.

DuckWithOneWing · 13/03/2025 13:07

I'm still around!

I had two days off plan last week. I felt like drinking gin on Saturday night so I did, and then Sunday I forgot to track calories but don't think I made any really bad choices. On Monday I went to the gym and it was so much better than last time - the instructor had some suggestions of how to modify the moves I couldn't do so I was able to do most of it.

My weigh in on Monday was amazing - I realised I'm exactly 1kg above my goal weight. That's like 2 lbs! I am amazed it's so close and really hope I can get there for next week.

RestingLettice · 13/03/2025 15:02

I'm still here too! just not checking into MN on my iPhone as it wants me to take off my adblocker which I'm not going to do. So using the laptop but less often.

I've been feeling a lot better this week, got loads of steps in and weighed in at 11st 1lbs which was a surprise as I haven't been keeping to a strict 1200 calories the last few weeks due to my very low BP. However, I have been eating very sensibly. No sugar and keeping my diet very clean. Think it's going to take forever to get back to my target weight of 9st 7lbs, but now I'm feeling a lot less tired, I'm getting out walking a lot more. Think maybe the strict 1200 calories wasn't helping my non-existent blood pressure. I've also been drinking a lot of water.

Scarecrow2016 · 13/03/2025 16:02

My weight is now down to 9stone 8lbs 2oz. I was feeling pretty good about this until I caught the sight of myself in the mirror. I strongly believe that I have lipoedema. My torso and stomach are small but I have large fat upper arms and buttocks/thighs. Currently my bust is 32inches and waist 27inches. If I measure around the widest point of my thighs I'm 41inches. My body fat is showing as slender (neck, waist and hips). All my weight seems to be in my arms, thighs and heavy legs. Anyone else similar?

Littlemissweepy · 13/03/2025 18:04

I’ve lost my motivation and discipline and as a result not lost any more weight. Trying to figure out if I really want to or not.

Littlemissweepy · 13/03/2025 18:06

@Scarecrow2016 i have never heard of that condition but just googled. What a frustrating situation for sufferers. Could a GP diagnose or give you peace of mind?
