I had a stressful weekend and ate loads of stuff I shouldn't have, so was thinking of skipping this weeks weigh in, but I'm also going to ireland this weekend to see family so that might not be great for eating either. So I guess I'll get a weigh in at the gym before I head over so I at least have another reference point. I am feeling fitter regardless of anything else, at least. I live in a hilly place and I'm getting further up the hills before I need to stop and catch my breath when out running, which is great.

Fibrous · 19/02/2025 12:16

I measured myself at the gym this morning and I'm pretty much the same as last week, which is fine, as I didn't have a great week food wise. Onwards we plough!

RestingLettice · 19/02/2025 20:23

I’ve got out walking again the last two days and feeling like I’m back in my groove after my sociable week of eating out last week and not getting out walking so much. Also been good calorie wise and although I had coffee with a friend this morning, I managed to resist all the teacakes/scones/cakes etc and just had a coffee. Also did just under 16,000 steps today with walking into town & around this afternoon and it’s quite hilly here so gets the heart rate up. I’m focusing on getting under that 11st mark, it would be a great motivator to see 10 stone on the scales again!! Also thinking of moving my weigh in day to Tuesday as I’m wondering if Monday is too soon after the weekend due to this weeks results 🤔

Sounds like you are doing all the right things! Seeing 10st was a massive milestone for me

I just did a mid week weigh in and I had put on just over 2lbs (147.8 to 150) from the 8th to the 17th Feb (Fast 800 Keto during the week but some carbs and booze at the weekends). It was obviously all water weight (plus time of month) as I have dropped to 146.1lb today (so nearly 4lbs since Monday). Official weigh in tomorrow so hoping I can bank a loss 📉 😅

It can be a total rollercoaster with water weight. I think it’s not a bad idea to do a weigh-in on two consecutive days to compare going forwards so I might do that. Yes to get back to 10st something would definitely be a good thing. Not been there for ages since all this illness and it would be so nice to actually fit into my summer clothes this year!

Littlemissweepy · 20/02/2025 13:00

Dumb question probably, but how to you shed water weight? Drink more water?

Personally I find it goes after doing a few days of low carb and no booze. I drink lots of water anyway but that might help too

That’s a good question. I have to drink loads of fluid and have a high salt intake due to my low blood pressure/hEDS. I’ve often wondered if that makes it better or worse. Some days I can feel so bloated and other days not too bad but can’t find a pattern as to why. I am teetotal as alcohol sadly aggravates my hEDS as does sugar/processed foods. Maybe hormonal too I guess.

Scarecrow2016 · 21/02/2025 06:36

Starting weight 10st 5lbs 0oz
Last week 9st 12lbs 4oz
Today 9st 10lbs 4oz

2lbs down this week. Really pleased with this.

Littlemissweepy · 21/02/2025 07:30

Weigh in day for me too.

starting weight: 10st 8.8lbs
last week: 10st 3.1lbs
today: 10st 2.1 lbs

So a pound in 2 weeks - the week before was flat - so it is a slow but sure loss for me. I’m off out for lunch with a work colleague today and having steak and chips and red wine tonight. I suspect I will be battling water weight most of next week 🙄.

Littlemissweepy · 21/02/2025 07:31

@Scarecrow2016 thats great!

HorrorFan81 · 21/02/2025 09:47

Official weigh in day

SW (Jan 24) 190lb
SW (Jan 25) 161lb
CW 146lb
GW 138lb

1.8lb loss over the past few weeks (been stable / going up since 8th Feb) - glad its going down again!

HorrorFan81 · 21/02/2025 11:28

Oh and NSV - ordered a beautiful dress on vinted, brand new with tags, reduced from £150 to £20, was so excited. Size 12. It's too big!! I'm definitely still a 12 in jeans so I was really surprised (and slightly gutted 🤣)

I think im generally a 10-12 now which is great but also an annoying size, most places seem to be 8-10 or 12-14 if they do S M L

Just double checked and I am down 15lbs since the start of the year, 10lbs since we started this thread 🥳
8lbs to go...

Fibrous · 25/02/2025 07:56

I’ve been visiting family in Ireland for a few days. Weighed myself this morning and I’ve broken into the 50s at last - 59.9 kg. I got out for a 5k run and some long walks while I was there. There was tea and homemade cake on offer at every family home I visited but I can’t eat cake without making my haemorrhoids angry so for the first time ever I just stuck with endless cups of tea Mrs Doyle style.

Ethiopianflower · 25/02/2025 08:37

Well done @Fibrous that is great to see the 50s on the scale - great achievement. This week I have maintained. At least no gain. Onwards and downwards hopefully….

DuckWithOneWing · 25/02/2025 10:16

Stayed the same this week, which I can't be mad at since I've eaten far too much chocolate. Yesterday I tried a new class at the gym, but it involved a lot of stuff I can't do and the instructor couldn't come up with any good alternatives. I enjoyed the bits I could do, but probably won't go again.

Fibrous · 25/02/2025 10:21

Thanks @Ethiopianflower !

That's annoying @DuckWithOneWing - you'd think any decent instructor would come up with adaptations.

HorrorFan81 · 25/02/2025 11:45

I weighed this morning and had a bit of a whoosh - down 1.6lbs from yesterday. Should be on target for a solid 2lb loss by Friday for this week

Scarecrow2016 · 25/02/2025 19:22

@HorrorFan81 You're doing so well. Not far to go now. What is your calorie intact?

Feel so close!

I'm doing the Fast 800 Keto and doing it pretty strictly so 800-1000 calories daily (usually around 850), super low carb, high protein

Once I hit goal weight I will slowly increase my calories but stay fairly low carb for the most part. Might do 5:2, not sure yet

Scarecrow2016 · 26/02/2025 12:37

@HorrorFan81 that's real commitment.

Ethiopianflower · 26/02/2025 19:33

At work today 2 people commented that I had lost weight - first time since my weight loss journey that anyone has said a thing. Pathetic of me, but it really made my day
