Hi all, I've read all you amazing progress! Only day 4 for me so it's good to see some results. Well done all!

I've done 4 weeks on 0.25 no change... moving up to .5 next week.
Really sad and not sure I can spend this much money for no results.

Did you research before to understand the process? It's not supposed to govern you results on 0.25. I know I sound blunt but I'm concerned about people taking it without understanding how it works

Hello hello. Can I please join in? Had my first .25 today. Didn't feel a thing. Someone mentioned that it stops the mini pill (POP) working. Any truth in that. I'm on semaglutide. I've googled but it's a bit lost to me.
Can't wait to get started 👋

Hello I'm a lurker. Coming up to end of week 6 and feel like death. Currently on second dose of 0.5. I've had one week where I didn't feel great around week 4 as I took the extra in syringe, last week felt great on first 0.5 but this week is just awful! Constant nausea, vomiting, dizziness, insomnia, restless legs. I'm barely eating. It's a good day if I can manage 400 calories. It's 100% Wegovy as the full effects kicked in around 48 hours after dose which has been this way throughout

I've gone from drinking 2l of water a day to sipping sugar free fizzy drinks and walking 10k steps a day to barely making 1000. The exhaustion even if I move from my bed (which I'm currently living in) is awful!
Even brushing my teeth isn't great as it makes me want to vomit.

There's no research that shows any impact on the pill.

However it slows your digestion, so could theoretically effect the absorption of any medication you take orally.

Definitely doesn't impact the pill. It would have massive warnings all over it if that was the case. One thing that does not help with weight loss is pregnancy 😂

Hi everyone!

Thanks for the new thread @AhBiscuits and well done on your weight loss.. target is in touching distance!

well done to everyone on their losses…I still love reading about them even after nearly 5 months of being here!

For those talking about side effects (god some of them sound awful!!!). Mine are/were dry mouth on injection day, vivid dreams first few nights after injecting. Sometimes diarreah but more so if I’ve eaten too much or sometimes constipation. As for tiredness, I do feel quite tired at times but then I’m a really active person so could just be that?!

I do think as time goes on your body gets more used to the medicine and learns to adapt to the slower digestion?!

As for me, I have about 1/2 stone left to lose so hopefully coming to the end of injecting…. I’m scared about how I will cope without wegovy as I’ve got so used to the feeling of not being obsessed by food anymore!

Good to hear you are still getting on well @Lovesthebeach
I'm scared about life after too, but excited about the end of side effects.

I've been saying for ages that I'm going to start running again. I used to run a lot but it's the first thing to go when I start gaining weight. There's a lot of hills round here and they hurt too much when I have to drag my chubby arse up them. I'm going to go for a short run tomorrow. I'm putting it here so I can't back out. Make me do it.

@SendARavenToRiverRun

There is a warning about it on Mounjaro, but not on Ozempic or Wegovy but you might want to have a read of this article which covers all 3.

Taking a New Obesity Drug and Birth Control Pills? Be Careful

Many women on oral contraceptives are unaware that drugs like Mounjaro may result in the unexpected: pregnancy.

@AhBiscuits good luck with the run. It’s always hard to get back into the routine of running!

must admit I have seen a couple of things on FB about ozempic affecting contraception and lots of stories about ladies with pcos finally conceiving whilst on the drug (obv they wouldn’t be on contraception though lol)

New thread! I am now officially paused, dose should have been yesterday. It's kind of nice to fancy things I used to, and to eat a bit more. It will be interesting practice for what it's like to come off later.

Still got this godawful sickness that has now turned into painful earache. It is the gift that keeps on giving, 6 weeks now 😭

It’s really motivating to read about everyone’s losses, and interesting to hear about the wide range of side effects.

I’m on week 11 of Wegovy now, and I’ve lost 16lbs. In a way I feel slightly disappointed, as apart from the first two weeks where I lost 7lbs, I’ve only had very small losses, and two weeks I stayed the same, and one week I gained. However, if I’d known back in January I’d lose over a stone by mid-March, I would have been thrilled. I suppose I thought it would have happened faster, but it does all add up and I'm going to keep going.

I’m still not up to 1.0 yet and am having some quite significant side effects which I’d like to share for those who are reading this and thinking of starting. I apologise in advance for TMI, and advise to not read on if you don’t like gruesome details.

  • Like others mentioned on the old thread, I am also bone-achingly tired. I only have enough energy to do what I need to do, and things like socialising and other extra activities are taking a back seat which is a bit sad.
  • I’ve lost interest in cooking (my passion) and have an unpredictable appetite, which is making food shopping, meal prep and packing lunches for work a bit difficult, and I’m still wasting a lot of food.
  • I’m always thirsty, and often wake up with my tongue stuck to the roof of my mouth.
  • I have a very unpredictable tummy. My digestive system feels very sluggish and most of the time I’m constipated and suffering from painful trapped wind in my chest which feels like a stitch. However, I also experience bouts of very sudden (and impressive) diarrhoea for no reason at all. Breaking wind can now only confidently be done on the toilet.
  • I feel queasy most of the time and I’m sick a lot for no reason, like when I wake up in the morning, while I’m brushing my teeth, if I smell/see something I don’t like, too hungry, too full, too hot, coughing fit, acid reflux etc.

As a result of the above, I have to go to bed early, I have to drink A LOT of water, I can’t drink alcohol, I can’t eat fatty, salty or sugary food, I can’t eat big portions of anything (even if healthy), I can’t eat too close to bedtime or mindlessly snack, and I have to make sure I eat lots of fruit and veg to ease constipation. This has made me mindful of my consumption habits, and I’ve made changes which are good for my health and I see this as a positive.

Also, since starting Wegovy, I haven’t experienced the crippling period or back pain that I’ve suffered every month since I was a teenager due to having endometriosis. I’ve tried to look into this further online, but there is only anecdotal evidence that links Wegovy to improved endometriosis symptoms. It’s a pretty crazy coincidence though. Has anyone else noticed similar?

Wegovy is “expensive” and has some unpleasant side effects some of the time, but I couldn’t have lost this weight without it, it’s made me change some unhealthy behaviours, and it’s looking likely that I will reach my goal weight / healthy BMI by the end of summer, so it is definitely worth it for me.

Sorry for the really long post! Good luck everyone.

I went for a run 🏃‍♀️ 🙌
It was actually fine. I just plodded along for half hour and did just under 3 miles. I'm pleased that I can still do it after not running for a few years. I can think about the pace and going further later, just need to get used to going regularly again.

I'm seriously considering dropping back to .5 after 2 weeks of 1mg. I feel really queasy and so utterly exhausted that it's too much effort to walk up the stairs.

I'll need to buy more needles but feel like shit. I'm losing weight but the exhaustion is unbearable this week.

Anyone had this when moving to 1mg? I've been pretty luck up to now.

I am on the 1.7 pen started just after Christmas. Haven't lost a single pound. Drinking water , swimming 3 times a week and quite a physical job. Nothing happening. 😩
