Hi All, can I join? About to take 2nd jab of .25 ozempic. Have had mild nausea and headaches and constipation so far, but I seem to have put on weight this week. I think I have been testing to see what foods/quantities might start me feeling rough, as I have noticed that I am generally less bothered by food, although it has worn off the last day or two. I understand I mighn't lose until I'm on a higher dose, but I was hoping I would see results sooner!

PrimalLass · 29/03/2024 16:15

I put on a lb last week but am losing now.

Med Express. I saw a code on a Mounjaro thread.

It's something like SPRING-BACK.

Just tried to use this and med express won't prescribe to me as I'm my BMI is below 30, even though I'm already on wegovy from other suppliers 🤷🏻‍♀️

Aliflowers · 29/03/2024 18:49

Another 1lb off this week so 16lbs in total. Still lots to go. Had a tooth removed for a root fracture and an implant started yesterday so pretty restricted diet for the next week. Hoping that loses me a few lbs

PrimalLass · 29/03/2024 19:26

Identify as shorter, Flatleak!

Suppliers aren't allowed to start prescribing if you are under 30 BMI, or under 27 BMI with weight affecting conditions. It's better once you come under 30 BMI to stick with same supplier - as they are allowed to keep prescribing to you until you hit your goal in the normal BMI range, as long as you were 30+ BMI (or 27+ with other conditions) when you start with them.

Flatleak · 29/03/2024 19:34

Thanks @Helene2019 that's useful. Seems mad when I'm already on it and still 30 pounds over weight and 45 pounds away from a mid range! Could understand if I was a new customer wanting to start but not someone who can evidence they've been on it a while

LeafUsAlone · 30/03/2024 13:05

Can you buy more needles in the pharmacy or do you have to buy them online? My pharmacists can be quite strict so I'm wary of asking them!

PrimalLass · 30/03/2024 13:16

I need some too as I screwed up the first dose. I don't want 100 though.

somedogsdo · 30/03/2024 13:39

0.25 Week 2/day 2 - slightly concerned I'm not feeling much appetite suppressant this week. Noticed it within hours of taking first dose but it wore off towards end of week. Was expecting same with second dose but definitely a lot less noticeable impact than last week. (I've just eaten 3 hot cross buns for breakfast - whereas last week I had to force myself to eat a small bowl of cereal) The dose definitely went in and I've had the 24 hr headache/slight nausea and dry mouth I had before so the dose is definitely circulating just not had the same impact on my the hunger. Bit disconcerting. Anyone else had similar?
I was a day late with my second dose so maybe that had an impact.

PrimalLass · 30/03/2024 13:42

Yes me. I'm just three days ahead of you and hungry today. It's the first time I've not been able to finish my workout at the gym.

I think the drop in calories plus a very upset stomach yesterday has just left me a bit spent.

PrimalLass · 30/03/2024 13:43

I'm having an extra thing of collagen/protein water to try and take the edge off.

somedogsdo · 30/03/2024 17:29

Sorry to hear you had a rough day yesterday @PrimalLass.
Have to say that after my 3 hot cross buns earlier I've not had or felt like anything else the rest of the day so maybe it is working - I guess I'm still getting used to it.
Hope your stomach settles.

I bought a pack of 7 from Chemist4U. They’re the same ones as in the pen and at £4.99 are more expensive than the box of 100 but I didn’t want 100! They’ll last a couple of months so I was happy to pay the extra.

Oh no, you poor thing. Is that a regular occurence for you?
What symptoms is anyone having?
So far I am bone tired. Ive woken up dry retching the morning after the jab both times so far and nausea on and off for a few days along with some constipation. Im not looking forward to them getting worse as the dose increases

PrimalLass · 30/03/2024 21:01

No it was the total opposite until yesterday.

The dry heaving doesn't sound great either. This better be worth it!

AhBiscuits · 31/03/2024 06:53

I ate a bit too much yesterday. Feel like crap today, sore tummy and sulphur burps 🤢

It’s been a pleasure being on this chat and seeing all the progress. I’m exiting now. Best of luck everyone and thanks for all the support.

Hello, hope it's ok to join! Started Wegovy at the end of February and lost consistently throughout February without really feeling any side effects other than slight constipation and a couple of mild stomach cramps. Lost my first stone (of hopefully about 5).

Increased the dose to 0.5 a few days ago and struggling to eat anything at all. Nothing feels appetising but I'm starting to get headaches so I know I'm not eating enough 😑

PrimalLass · 31/03/2024 10:29

Do you have protein powder? I just did a Willpowders order last night.

I'm currently only craving chicken and broccoli.

PrimalLass · 31/03/2024 10:31

I'm only on week 2 so don't really have stomach appetite suppression but it is under control in my head.

I had a bit too many calories yesterday as really need to keep to 1200 to lose. And not enough water.

PrimalLass · 31/03/2024 10:31

Good luck @Tindum.

Lovesthebeach · 31/03/2024 11:16

Happy Easter to everyone!

I am feeling sorry for myself. Eaten stodgy crap over the past few days - even eating when I was full.. woke up in the night with stomach cramps and was sick and let’s just say I’m very empty now!!!

Even after being on this for months I still have a tendency to overeat at times. I’m a bit concerned that my diet hasn’t been the healthiest recently. I’ve lost interest in cooking and making nice food so I just want to eat easy carbs… I need to make healthier choices in preparation for coming off the medication. Has anyone else had this issue?

Well done to everyone on their losses so far :-)

AhBiscuits · 31/03/2024 12:32

Good luck Tindum

On my way to MIL's for Easter lunch. It's the last thing I want to eat. I'd prefer a sandwich or something! I won't miss feeling sick or worrying about feeling sick on special occasions.

The meds for me have stopped cravings for biccies cake crisps alcohol, general snacking and take aways etc. Re sweet things: I try to go to fruit / fruit salad as a first choice sweet snack/pudding if I get any craving (normally linked to time of the month). When I'm at the time of the month I often have a couple of cubes of a good quality dark chocolate. Another nice pudding is the arla chocolate or caramel protein pudding or a no added sugar protein shake, both are very filling so no chance of wanting to eat anything after having that.

Re carbs: I eat wholegrain oats, bread, pasta.
I do have e.g. special occasion birthday cake / deserts etc but just have a significantly smaller portion than before.

I try to cook quick meals 20-30mins max with low effort (so I don't lose motivation and go for an easy snack rather than proper meal). I use pre prepared/chopped veg and stir-fry packs etc from the supermarket. Or chuck the veg and piece of chicken/fish wrapped in baking paper and foil into the oven to bake as it's super simple to do. I also use the slow cooker - again typically chuck everything in for stew or pot roast with veg/gravy early afternoon and it's all done by the time it's dinner time.
