If you have a bit more to lose and will be doing this for a while and want a nice supportive crowd to hang out with while you're at it this might be the thread for you.

Well done everyone so far this morning on your losses. It was definitely in the back of my mind over the weekend that I'd be weighing and reporting here this morning so it kept me on track, thank you!
SW 18st 13lb
CW 18st 7 1/4lb

Pleased with that for week one. I'm following WW online and making sure I hit my steps each day. Good luck everyone for the week ahead 😊

PotatoFan · 08/01/2024 08:24

6lb loss this week, it was 7.5lb when I checked yesterday but I did eat late.

Here we go! First weigh in of the year and turns out Im the heaviest I’ve ever been 😫so lots of work to do but also a lot of motivation to do it I guess!

Calorie counting and increasing exercise is current strategy.

First weigh in: 14st 4
Interim target weight: 12st
Ideal target weight: 10st 10

Wictc · 08/01/2024 08:29

Can I join please? I really need to shift the weight. It’s been slowly creepy up and I need to stop it! I hate photos of me, and would love some more family photos - my husband looks like a single father in our holiday snaps!! I started diet and exercise on 02 January and made a bit of progress, just need to keep on the wagon!

SW: 85kg
CW: 83kg
TW: 50kg

@stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk @FlabMonsterIsDietingAgain
love your spreadsheets of goals and tracking and celebrating acheivements .. very motivating and you are both very inspiring !! Thanks for sharing .

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 08/01/2024 08:31

Well done for being so brave @Onirique I'm sure we can all relate to the distress seeing numbers on the scale you've never seen before can cause.

RunningKatie · 08/01/2024 08:34

First weigh in: 211.6
First goal: 199

I've brought lunch to work, and had a pint of water at breakfast.
Going to track my food from today.

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 08/01/2024 08:38

hi @Wictc hi @RunningKatie welcome and good luck.

SW: 303.4lbs (04/01/23)
CW: 295.6lbs Loss this week: 7.8lbs.
TW: 198lbs

Keep going ❤️

Onthegrid · 08/01/2024 09:08

My first weigh in
SW - 336.5lb
CW - 331.5lb
TW - 268lb for 26 weeks
Total Loss - 5lb

I am happy that despite an epic party on Saturday, I have kept to my daily calories and healthy eating plan for the other 6 days. I'm liking Nutracheck for its simplicity. The hard part now for me is to do more than 1 week, this time I will do it!

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 08/01/2024 09:27

@Thinkingthin & @Onthegrid Fabulous losses well done guys!

@Onthegrid The hard part now for me is to do more than 1 week, this time I will do it! Absolutely! Perseverance and sustainability is the key, beyond that it's just a numbers game. Each kilo of stored fat takes 7000 calorie deficit to shift. 1000 calories a day deficit you will burn fat at a rate of one kilo a week.

You can't control what the scales say but you can control what you eat.

OkyDoke · 08/01/2024 09:28

Lots of exercise this week and my period, but seen a loss so happy enough with this:

SW: 217.4lbs
CW: 214.8lbs

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 08/01/2024 09:40

Rightly so @OkyDoke well done

Lost my holiday bloat by the beginning of last week. Since then, I've lost five pounds this year.

Total loss 5 lbs.

Penguinpairs · 08/01/2024 10:28

It's inspiring to see all these losses!

SW 15st 5
8/1 15st 2
TW 10st 9

It's been a good week. Had a day off it on Saturday but turned down another slice of pizza and another delicious cookie, did say yes to an additional glass of wine though. So if I can maintain that way of thinking for life I'll be ok. Only had one meal yesterday but it was Sunday roast, still feeling very full but it was mainly veg so hopefully I didn't do too much damage. I'm back at work this week and have taken healthy soup to work with me. As someone up thread said, just need perseverance and sustainability now

Nocakeinthishouse · 08/01/2024 10:33

Can I join? I’m working really hard to get the weight off that I gained whilst on medication. I’ve been going at it a while but stopped over Christmas and am back on it again now and miss snacking!

Initial SW - 93 kgs
New Year SW - 80 kgs
CW -74 kgs
TW - 60 kgs

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 08/01/2024 10:49

Well done on your losses @WinningByLosing and @Penguinpairs

OP posts:
stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 08/01/2024 10:51

@Nocakeinthishouse anyone trying to lose weight and being supportive of others is welcome but looking at your numbers this may not be the right thread for you as you're only 14kg off your target weight.
