Well done on your brilliant losses, everyone. @stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk. Congratulations on losing 5 stone! That is so amazing!

I have had a much better week this week and weighed in at 12st 10lbs 3/4 this morning. So, just over a lb. It's not a huge loss but going in the right direction.

Mini goal is still 12st 9lbs, which would be my 3st lost.

Half term now, so I'm hoping to stay on track despite meals out and catch ups with friends and family

Sharksarescary · 12/02/2024 09:45

@stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk I am working towards a BMI of under 40 as it is a milestone for me. Well done on your continued downward trajectory.

My BMI is 41 at the moment so hoping to get below 40 before the end of February.

I need to be more strict with my eating this week as I’ve just been concentrating on no alcohol and increased exercise since Jan 1st and the weight loss has slowed now.

Time to tackle the calories.

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 12/02/2024 09:56

Morning @Bumblebeebum23 well done on your every pound matters, it's the perseverence that makes all the difference. The 3 st. mark is a great mini target and really close now.

OP posts:
stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 12/02/2024 09:59

Exercise is really beneficial for health for a number of reasons @Sharksarescary but I must admit my habits and instincts are / were so ingrained I personally really do need to count calories in order to lose weight.

Current weight 20st 1lb

@FlabMonsterIsDietingAgain this is amazing! I've lost over a chihuahua 😀

FlabMonsterIsDietingAgain · 12/02/2024 12:22

120 eggs for me 😂

Runssometimes · 12/02/2024 12:35

Weighed in at 89.9kg so gained weight this week, but haven’t done any walking at all really.

Still 3kg down from starting weight. You’ve all inspired me though so I’ve actually put weekly targets down which I’ve never done and have determined I’ll track my food consistently which is a big deal as I’m going away this week for a few days but hopefully lots of walking.

Under 40 bmi is quite important in terms of health care. I'm having an op on my ankle and they would refuse to operate over 40. I know bmi is disputed but it is a good health marker for that reason.

So yay for you! Good work. 😀

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 12/02/2024 12:52

lots of walking is a really good idea @Runssometimes

It puts into context why I feel so bloody exhausted so much of the time.... I'm carrying around a whole extra adult woman, plus a car tyre 24/7...

Scrabblingaround · 12/02/2024 13:44

Well I roughly was when I started... think I've managed to put down the tyre. Just the whole extra human to go!

Penguinpairs · 12/02/2024 15:03

Some great losses being reported. And thank you flabmonster for that list as scrabbling says, no wonder it's an effort doing anything carrying all that extra weight. I weighed 14st 4 yesterday but 14st 6 today and no idea why. Anyway, taking an average that's 1st done this year. Next mini goal is to reach 13st 10. I'm aiming for the end of March for that one. Wishing you all a positive week

Gabriella83 · 12/02/2024 15:11

Well done all on your great results this week. I'm loving the weight visualisations @FlabMonsterIsDietingAgain I've lost a car tyre so far. Just need to lose an Irish setter. I imagine in my life time I've lost close to a Welsh pony with my weight yo-yo-ing up and down. Not anymore. This time it needs to be for keeps. Hope you all have a good week!

stillplentyofjunkinthetrunk · 12/02/2024 15:23

well done on your losing a stone @Penguinpairs you're absolutely right that it puts things into perspective.

I've known I've been burying my head for a good year about how much I've gained ( to the point of refusing to be weighed at the Drs ) but knowing I'm the fattest I've been and it's now having an impact on my health , bit the bullet this morning and weighed myself , a shock at 16 stone 1.5lb and a massive at least 6.5 stone to lose. So here I am , 1at day of a long way to go.
