Anyone else up for sorting their shit out, starting tomorrow 1st Jan.

I need a complete overhaul, I'm far too fat and look a mess. It's making me feel miserable so I'm going to do something about it.

I would love some company.

I guess it depends on how strict or gentle a diet you're planning, but I might do it once a week and weigh once a month or so.

My shit is being sorted out for me today on the food front whether I wanted it to or not... I've picked up a sickness bug from the kids in my class and have been ill and unable to eat all day.

Well, I need to weigh myself less often, I weighed this morning and was 0.4kg up. I know my body does this - whether I'm losing or gaining, it takes a couple of weeks to show on the scales. But now I'm all discouraged, even though I know I just need to be patient!

Now I've caught up with the posts, I am craving sticky toffee pudding! I've never particularly enjoyed McD's but a sticky toffee pudding is one of my favourite foods, especially when it comes with lots of sauce.
I need to banish all such thoughts as I really want to have lost again on Monday. I need to make sure I do a proper exercise session today and tomorrow as well as fit in a walk each day. But it's 12.30 and I've done nothing so far! I am very good at prevaricating when it comes to exercise.
I had a bath last night and caught a view of myself in the mirror at a different angle to usual. I was hoping that that image would motivate me but I keep thinking that perhaps I should go & wipe down the skirting boards rather than go to the gym!

@dancinginthewind sorry 😳 it was good though! I managed to resist the rest, fed it to my skinny son instead.

My scales are definitely off too, I lost 0.5kg the other day just by moving them to the other side of the bathroom. I think I'll get the tape measure out as well, and measure my waist, bust and hips once a week.

Stayed the same this week, I have had a rubbish week so I have been comfort eating.

I might start checking in a few times a week instead of once to try and stay on track.

Ugh. Need to be on top of my sh** today to make sure I have lost but spent another night coughing so had little sleep and just have no energy or enthusiasm today. So my priority isn't doing loads of cardio but just avoiding comfort eating loads of carbs & sugar as I would usually do in this situation.

I bought some protein yogurt things in Lidl yesterday including a "caramel pudding". It is one of the most artificial tasting things this year but it had the advantage of tasting just like butterscotch Angel Delight which has hopefully satisfied the itch for comfort food. I am having smoked salmon & scrambled eggs for lunch with some tomatoes, mushrooms & spinach so that should fill me up

11.13 (and a half) today. So that's the Christmas gain gone.

Still not completely up to eating properly again yet, but I ate a small lunch and a small tea last night - half a spaghetti ready meal.

I had hoped that a day of feeling truly dreadful, being sick and eating nothing, followed by a day of eating very little would have made a bit more of a difference, but I'll take it.

I haven't had too bad a weekend, definitely eaten more than I have during the week, but I don't think I overdid it. We were out for a lot of yesterday so highlights included a Greggs bake for lunch, and 4 slices of pizza for dinner, along with 2.5 alcoholic drinks. So not brilliant, but I ate really sensibly around that. I also went for a really long walk yesterday, and this morning I went for a run. Generally, I'm doing a lot better than I was before Christmas.

I've got a real taste for proper food, no processed stuff and sugary crap, so I need to run with this feeling. Last week we ate veggie on three nights and I'd like to do similar this week.

Damn! Official weigh in day and I am exactly the same as I was last Monday despite having been a lb lower for much of the week and hoping I would have been able to knock another lb off too. I'm also massively bloated this morning and am not entirely sure why. Perhaps a result of eating more UPF food than usual yesterday? Something for me to think about.
So the aim of today is to not get disheartened by this and comfort eat but to remember it's a long game, I never find it easy and just keep going.

Could be worse @dancinginthewind, I've gained half a kg since last week! Weighed on Saturday and it was 0.3kg, hoped it was a blip so weighed again today and it's even worse! You're right though, it's a long game and we just have to keep going. I know my body and it doesn't show weight loss right away, I'll get a drop suddenly a month from now.

I find I’m not even remotely in the right head space, and I know from experience forcing myself is counter productive. My pathological hatred of winter and cold weather is making me miserable and also crave stodge. Not going to count until I feel better, but trying to keep my urge to eat crap in check with nutritious meals and also keeping on with IF. I’ve just made egg ‘muffins’ for brunch, so that’s a start.

I've gained too, up 0.3kg from last week 😥.

I'm getting better at just eating at mealtimes and not snacking though, after the quality street-fest that was December. So that's progress.

Morning all, just back from the gym. Stuck to my calories yesterday and drank lots of water 🙌 treadmill this morning with my motivational podcast.. trying hard to keep focused. I know it's freezing out there right now but summer will soon come round 🫣 happy Tuesday all.
