Have put on just over half a stone in the last few months. BMI still within range, but am short so makes a difference in how I feel and how my clothes fit.
Would love to think I could get it off in a few weeks, but realistically in my 50’s, menopausal plus being greedy and loving wine, this won’t be happening 😩.
I have signed up to Nutracheck as so much more user friendly than MFP and am hoping will keep me accountable.
I find daily weighing helps and will be trying to log my weight on here….

SW 60.8 kg
CW 60.8 kg
TW 55 kg

Would love some support from others feeling similar!

Just what I needed to read thank you for sharing @7poundstogo

Down to 58kg… still sooooo slow but setting myself very achievable targets!

Want to be 56 something by the beginning of May. Have reluctantly accepted that at over 50 and being menopausal the weight just does not drop off quickly 😩. Hope everyone plodding on ok.

I am making very very slow progress too. I've barely lost a pound in 2 weeks.

I think my body is definitely fighting to stay at a plateau at the moment.

I have the house to myself for a few days so at least I won't be tempted to finish off my son's dinners! I really don't like waste!

I’ve gone up, not much but it’s the wrong direction. I swear this was no effort at all in my 20s.

Lucie11 · 13/03/2024 20:33

I could lose half a stone in 2-3 weeks in my 20’s and that wasn’t even being very strict!
I have lost 3kg since I started this thread last August which is shameful….I did spend 6 months faffing around and have only knuckled down in the last 5 weeks. Very slowly it’s coming off and that I know if I keep going, I will get a few more kilos off by the summer. It’s boring, but I will be very glad I made the effort come June/July

Made a little progress in the last 4 days. I've been making an effort to walk more and do a little yoga/pilates again, then yesterday 3 hrs gardening and have woken up to a 2lb loss over the last 7 days.
I definitely think the gardening has shifted it

Agiftandacurse · 17/03/2024 11:25

Well done! I’ve been unwell recently so eating more moving less. I’ll still weigh myself tomorrow but expecting a gain 🤦‍♀️

7poundstogo · 19/03/2024 22:28

It's important to rest and eat well when you are poorly - I hope you're feeling better now @Agiftandacurse

i know this thread is quiet, but thought I’d update my stats anyway!

CW 56.7kg
GW 55 kg or may be 53/54.

Still logging daily in Nutracheck, I do think it helps seeing the calories mount up. Have logged every day since mid Feb apart from 2 weekends where I was away.
It is painfully slow progress, but it’s the consistency that’s made the difference this time.

Anyone else still around?

7poundstogo · 18/04/2024 18:02

Yes I'm still around but I've been just (about) maintaining for the last 4 weeks as I seem to have taken my foot off the peddle.

I've lost my enthusiasm, I need to get it back before I get too complacent again

Lucie11 · 18/04/2024 20:36

@7poundstogo maintaining is good though….sometimes it ‘s helpful to have a bit of a break. Not when you stack it back on mind you 😬

I’ve had a little los (1.5kg) after months of maintaining. Pleased with that
