@TheStolenChild - have a read of some of the other threads. All of your questions will be answered there. There are also some threads in Weight Loss Chat on Rybelsus. Personally I took it for a while but didn’t like it - the taste, having to wait 20 mins after taking it to have a cup of tea in the morning both put me off.

also have a listen to or read the transcript of the Zoe podcast which discussed Ozempic and the other semaglutide drugs - here. I have been taking Ozempic for over a year and listened to this last week for the first time and found it fascinating and very informative.

ZOE Podcast: Can Ozempic (Semaglutide) Solve Weight Loss?

Jonathan speaks to Dr. Robert Kushner, the lead investigator of a huge recent trial, about whether semaglutide really is a game-changing treatment for obesity.

Morning everyone

End of week 11 for me and I'm now down 16.5lbs. I lost just under 3lbs this week which is unusual for me but very welcomed after a few weeks of 0.5lbs losses. Hard to believe next week I'll have done almost 3 months, the time really has flown by and once I got over my initial sickness when I ate too much it's been totally manageable.

I'm still on 0.5mg and doing the click method with a 1mg pen. I'll stay where I am for as long as I'm getting results. I was saying to DP it's the most positive I've felt about weight loss in my life and rather than seeing it as a huge mountain I'm able to just get on with my days/weeks and have faith it will come together. I've got a family holiday at the end of August and this year I want to be happy to take pictures with my family rather than hiding in the background.

Have just found this after getting really down about weight increase since wfh more etc, and age, and now find myself living in elastic waists and feeling crap - have just taken the plunge and ordered tablets rebelsus (ozempic tabs) - I read above poster but just wondered if any others have experiences (any good ones??) using tabs as opposed to injections? I will lookback thru all the threads too.... hope to keep on this tread as I am also not talking about this IRL - unsure why?? Its a bit confusing.. possibly judgement etc.

Hi all, I've been following these threads on and off and thought I'd finally join in, I'm 2 weeks and 2 injections in and have gone from 12st 2lb to 11st 6lb. Really happy so far! Suffered awful nausea for the first 24 hours, and since then, all has been well!

I’m a little disappointed that I’m not feeling the effects as much in week 2 and week 1. Is this normal? Week 1 I didn’t feel hungry much at all. Week 2 I feel my sweet cravings are back. I suppose I haven’t wanted to binge eat and this morning I had two Jaffa cakes and have left the rest in the cupboard without hearing them call my name from every room in the house so that’s progress!

I’ve had a midweek weigh (halfway through week 2) and I’ve lost 6lbs this week - taking me to a total of 10lb since starting. Really happy with that, I’m tracking calories loosely so include all food but not milk in tea etc, drinking 2.5-3l water per day and not feeling any side effects this week beyond the reduced appetite and cravings.

Basically anything is normal @FMLWTF. Especially in the early days. It’s not a magic potion. It helps. But you need to work with it. If you read the threads so many people have had the same experience.

Mine arrived this morning and I have just done the first dose. I will read through the previous threads to see what side effects others have experienced. I'd like to thank everyone that has posted their own experiences. It's been really helpful.

@Peridot1 thanks for the new thread!

Have just read the Zöe transcript, so interesting. I’ve been overweight since early teens and never successfully managed to lose weight and keep it off. Really loved the stuff about famine and bodies going back to where they were. I’m definitely in this for the long run!

@FMLWTF it will still be building up in your system and will settle out.

What's the general approach to the remainder in the 0.25 pen? Will I be able to get my first 0.5 out of it?

Report
Whisper23 · 29/04/2023 20:32

@RausageSoul yes you should be able to. I've had 5 x 0.25 and 1 x 0.5 out of mine. And there's still some left in it.

Report
RausageSoul · 29/04/2023 20:33

@Whisper23 does the 0.25 pen let you click to .5? Or did you double dose (new needle?

@RausageSoul I did double dose with the same needle. Didn't think about changing the needle. Should I have?

@Whisper23 I'm sure it would be absolutely fine! I'm just a panic merchant!

@RausageSoul It seemed to work ok with the same needle. It didn't let me click up to .50 by the way.
