Hi all. Just spotted the previous thread filled up so thought I’d start a new one quickly.

SkinnySally · 25/02/2024 18:49

@dan1970 I’ve got a code if you want to send me a PM

Peridot1 · 26/02/2024 22:40

@dan1970 - you will be better off using Wegovy if you meet the criteria. It’s available from Boots, Asda etc.

Just wondered if any of the original girls are on here. Wondered how you were all getting on? My year anniversary was Feb this year. So another 6 months in along and I have managed to stay the same weight with a 4.2 stone loss. I give myself a 1mg dose about once a month. Buying a 2.4mg pen. This month is the last 2.4 I can get from Juniper. I will have two pens in the fridge stockpiled and another couple of months in the one that is open so it will last me a good while. Just wondered what has happened to those who have stopped. If you have stopped...

2kidsintow · 09/08/2024 19:25

I stopped.

The hunger was unreal and I quickly put half a stone back on. As I was nowhere near my aim for what I'd wanted to lose (I'm a slow loser I think!) then I went back on it for another few months.

At the moment I'm paying for the 1mg pen and taking 0.75 doses to make it last a bit longer. That's a good dose for me to not be impacted by any side effects, but to really affect how hungry I get.

I'm aware I've been on it for nearly 2 years though and will be wanting to come off it for a good while soon.

I had to come off due to the shortages, couldn't get it.

Started on mounjaro in march, I'd put 10lb on since Oct/November.

I've lost over 3 stone since march.

I haven't contributed for a long time but I'm one of the early contributors.

I lost a good amount of weight on ozempic but had to stop (I think it was last June after being on it for 6 month ish? Bit of a distant memory though). Anyway I had to stop despite good results due to the shortage. I'm pleased to say I've kept up the good habits I adopted, in terms of diet and exercise, and lost a further stone after coming off by the November and have maintained ever since. My weight seems pretty stable, even with Christmas and holidays etc.

Ozempic definitely helped me reduce my ferocious appetite and made me recognise how much I ate for the sake of it rather than genuine hunger.

I've lost around 6st total. Gone from obese bmi to the lower end of the healthy range, from size 16 to a 8-10.

So, if you're just starting out, you absolutely can maintain any weight you lose on ozempic, but you obviously need to use the period you're on ozempic to change your diet and exercise habits for life.
