Hi all. Just spotted the previous thread filled up so thought I’d start a new one quickly.

Has anyone else had side effects kick in at week 4? No dose change, still on 0.25mg. Abdominal cramping, diarrhoea, and bloating have hit me like a brick wall in the last few days.

My side effects kicked in week 3 if I remember rightly and got worse in week 4 with no dose change.
The usual advice is to stay on the 0.25mg dose for a bit longer, don't move up yet if your body is having a struggle adapting to it. And obviously drink plenty of water and look after yourself.

OMG!!

I went to be last night feeling great and thinking how lucky I’d be to be side effect free.

I’ve just woken up with major nausea and wind. How the hell am I going to get the dog walked, the kids to school (DH is away for the next 3 weeks) and do a days work feeling like this.

Any tips please?

Water, and tiny bites of protein, little and often.

It seems to have gone. Just a few tummy rumbles now.

Day 1 today for me! I’ve had the pen for almost a week now but didn’t want to spoil my bank holiday with nausea or other side effects. Ironically, the nerves about taking it have put me off my food!

Took it this morning, read the leaflet front to back and it was all very straightforward. Don’t know if it’s the nerves or Ozempic working but I have no appetite at all. Milky coffee for breakfast and then made myself eat 2 slices of toast with 2 eggs fried in 1 cal spray for lunch. I will also make sure I eat some dinner to maintain good eating habits!

Starting weight is 196.5 lbs at 5ft3 and excited about weighing in next Wednesday!

It's not like a normal needle, it truly is tiny and not painful. I am very scared of needles too! I absolutely hate it when I have to have one and had to force myself to even get the Covid vaccinations but I found injecting Ozempic to be no problem due to the fine needle that you can barely even feel.

Does anyone have a code for juniper please?

I’ve sent you a PM

Scaredtobegin · 03/05/2023 21:10

Hi all! I am joining as I’ve just been approved. Tbh I am a bit surprised that I got approved without evidence!! I am 70kg and 5’3 - I gained 13kg in six months after coming off birth control. I definitely have issue with hormone regulation so hoping this will help. It’s only recently I’ve been looking in the mirror and so confused by what I see, I almost gas light myself to believing I’m still slim. I’m lucky I have a lot of muscle as I do work out a good amount but I’ve realised I look awful and hoping this is my miracle!

SarahC50 · 03/05/2023 22:08

@chrispenrallt1 I'm sure you look lovely. I'm week five on ozempic with juniper and I've found it really good. I'm 51 chronically ill and menopausal and it's working for me.

Pm me if you have any queries x

eloquent · 03/05/2023 22:58

I've just had manual confirm (have 50% off code if anybody would like it, feel free to inbox me) after juniper refused.

The refund was with me in less than 24 hours though!

I was apprehensive before ordering, now I'm excited to start!

Bargellobitch · 03/05/2023 23:07

I'm going to start this weekend. Its in my fridge. I just wondered if I should take it morning or evening? Do I take it on an empty stomach...
Any tips, I will obviously read the patient leaflet too.

FMLWTF · 03/05/2023 23:20

Evening seems to be a popular time so you can sleep through any initial side-effects. Different for everyone. The first time I took it I felt shivery and had a restless night but not much after that.

Rosie219 · 04/05/2023 00:13

@Bargellobitch I've always taken mine mid-morning, with no bad side effects. I tend to take it between breakfast and lunch, although I think ozempic say take it any time.

Lostinalibrary · 04/05/2023 06:25

I take mine in the evening. I took mine early evening last time and went to the shop - glad I wasn’t at work. I felt weak.

mumwheresmyribena · 04/05/2023 08:52

Section 3 of the patient information leaflet that should be in the box covers this. Any time of day and it didn't matter if you take it on full or empty stomach.

My routine is to take it around 9pm in the evening, my tummy isn't full at that time so I feel comfier and I'm relaxed with not much to do. Initially part of the reason was also so it was nearer bed time for me to sleep off initial side-effects but I've been taking it long enough not to know I don't have any to worry about.

kkr168 · 04/05/2023 09:09

Week 3 weigh in for me, lost 2lb, bringing me to a total loss of 10lb.
I'm away for a long weekend break with extended family & we've booked to eat out at least once a day, so hoping for at least a 1lb loss next week.

I've been doing my jab around 10/11pm, although I'm convinced I made a mistake with the 2nd jab as I was so tired, so I'm going to do it around 9pm from now on.

Whisper23 · 04/05/2023 13:36

Does anyone have a My Juniper code please?

CuckooMamgu · 04/05/2023 15:17

@Whisper23 Code is FRIEND50, but if you need a name too, I've pm'd you mine.

Springclean8 · 04/05/2023 15:37

I've just had confirmation from manual that they have supply issues and will be contacting customers affected. Has anyone else received this?

Whisper23 · 04/05/2023 16:02

Thanks for the codes everyone.

Btrsun10 · 04/05/2023 16:26

Hello again. Week 7 for me - 3rd dose of 0.5mg and I've not lost ANYTHING!
I've no side effects and no lose of appetite.
I keep reading everyone's stories of being full up after eating a small amount - not happening for me. I am as hungry as ever - maybe even worse.
I'm doing the click method with a 1mg pen so I've 5 weeks left. I'll keep going but until I run out but if it doesn't change for me, I see no point in paying to continue.
Definitely mustn't work for everyone (although I'm really really hopeful that it might change!)

Btrsun10 · 04/05/2023 16:27

Just to add - I've gained 4 lb over the 7 doses!
