"I Started Ozempic Last Night" THREAD THREE

1000 replies

Athena51 · 16/02/2023 08:44

Starting a new thread as we are dangerously close to finishing thread two. So great to have this supportive community to share our experiences of taking Ozempic for weightloss.

"Old-timers" and new starters all welcome!

@Twiglets1 I'm in the same boat, great loss weeks one and two but have put on .5kg 3rd week and now plateauing in 4th week. It's disappointing but I'm just hoping I start to lose again. I'm only on 1000 calories a day with no sugar or carbs so I'm not sure why I'm not losing loads

We’ll just have to carry on eating better and hope for the best. It feels good to be able to stick to a diet anyway and I’m sure it must be doing me some good to be avoiding all those extra calories even if the weight isn’t falling off quickly.

ButterfliesnWaterfalls · 16/02/2023 16:24

I cancelled month 2 with Juniper. I’m not sure if I want to continue with another retailer. Not significant weight loss or side effects but thinking I should just will myself to eat less 😒

That's a shame you didn't find it helpful.
Good luck however you chose to continue.

Quick meds have delivered the day after my order and answered the phone and changed something for me that I got wrong on their website with no fuss, doing my verbal check at the same time. I am quite impressed.

Kfjsjdbd · 16/02/2023 19:10

I am about 6 weeks in. I went a bit rogue this week. I was using the last of my 0.25 pen, which got 1x0.25 out, plus a little bit more, then I also did 0.5 from my new pen. So I probably had something like 0.8 in total.

Probably shouldn’t have done that, because combined with a not so good day of eating (Valentines chocs from DH who knows I’m on a diet!) made me feel really sick.

Back to eating well today, and I feel much better. I’ve been shocked at how much my appetite has reduced at this 0.8 compared to 0.25. At 0.25 I was still getting hungry at meal times. At 0.8 I have practically no hunger.

leilani83 · 16/02/2023 19:27

I would also recommend Quick Meds - good, fast service, very helpful, all questions answered promptly.

RebelGeek76 · 16/02/2023 19:29

I did my 3rd injection yesterday and decided to up it to 0.38mg as side effects have only been a bit of nausea on day 2 so far. More nausea earlier today but feeling OK now and feeling my appetite is a little more suppressed, didn't even fancy a cuppa earlier! Though I'm having to be mindful to drink more water as I'm drinking nowhere near enough. Stayed the same this week after 5lb loss in first week but I'm definitely noticing my tummy has gone down and my DD3 no longer asks if I've got a baby in my tummy lol!

MiniCooperLover · 16/02/2023 19:30

I know Juniper are coming up pricier but they've been excellent in delivery and helping when I need my next delivery to come a few days early as I was away

ILostMyself · 16/02/2023 21:32

I’ve just stumbled across this thread and I had never heard of this before. I had been a couple of stone overweight for years and amazingly managed to lose this during the pandemic when things were shut and we were not rushing around with the kids. I actually felt so relaxed and completely focused on my diet and exercise, being able to follow my own routine everyday with no interruptions, and found it fairly easy for the first time in my life.

Then everything opened back up and since then, it’s slowly crept back on and I’m ashamed to say I’m back where I started! Once all the usual stresses of life and rushing around came back, I became less able to focus and also find myself feeling either hungry or craving sugar all the time. I’m pretty sure it’s stress that is causing this and I’ve been trying mindfulness and keeping up exercise but I think this medication could really help give me a kick start back again as I’ve become so disheartened with it all and failing all the time.

I’ve only skimmed some of the other threads and read this one… so is the Juniper one a company most recommend? Does anyone have a code I could have please? Great to read about all your successes! 🙂

Cappuccinopup · 17/02/2023 07:05

@IAmBreathingIn my ukmeds order arrived after a few days, but the ice pack was completely melted and split, so the entire package was dripping wet and the ozempic had reached room temp.

As far as I knew once the ozempic hits room temp it starts the 56 day safety countdown, so I emailed ukmeds to clarify with pictures of the dripping wet box (the actual ozempic box had began to fall apart as it was so soaked). They replied saying it was fine to still use past 56 days, no apology for the late delivery or soaking parcel!

Definitely won’t be using them again is the bottom line 😂

Cappuccinopup · 17/02/2023 07:06

Also tmi - I have had the most awful constipation this week, I didn’t have this issue with the lower dose. I’ve upped fibre and drinking lots of extra water, just wondering if anyone else has had this issue and how they resolved? 😊

Cappuccinopup · 17/02/2023 07:11

@ILostMyself juniper are the priciest supplier I’ve encountered, their service is good and deliveries are good, but they have changed lots of people’s dosing schedule because they have struggled to source the 1mg pen. So the normal dosing schedule would be a month on .25mg, a month on .5mg, then onto 1mg, but juniper have been keeping people on the .5mg dosage for several months to regulate their own supply chain issues (rather than .5mg being a good dose to stay on for months). So for the money you pay, I think it’s best to go to another company (quickmeds seem to have good feedback) that way you can get to a therapeutic dose of ozempic in the recommended timespan.

I use Mayfair weight loss clinic and they have been good with my first order. It arrived very well packaged and when they said it would. They don't provide the advice that Juniper apparently do or the scales, but I didn't feel I needed that as I did lots of research anyway before starting with Ozempic. Plus I use the lovely people on the Ozempic threads for advice as required.

I have also ordered from Mayfair weight loss clinic and can confirm they are good 😊

I have experienced this and I just got some herbal senna pods from Amazon (7.5mg). You take one at night and I have then been able to "go" first thing in the morning with no difficulty.

Athena51 · 17/02/2023 07:20

I've used Medical Weight Loss 4 u for most of my Ozempic journey. Not the cheapest but good. I've recently switched to Quickmeds as I could make a substantial saving and they are also excellent.

Thanks for the recommendation, I’m going to order some of those now!

HolibobsinApril · 17/02/2023 07:24

Weigh in day today and also 3rd injection of 0.25.

I've lost 7lbs in total which I'm really pleased about. It's been really simple with no side effects apart from maybe being tired in the evening.

I got mine from the London Slimming Clinic and have ordered ahead a 1mg pen which I'm hoping I can take smaller doses of.

Well done everyone and thanks for all the information.

Twiglets1 · 17/02/2023 07:24

By the way, there's an article in the Telegraph about Wegovy (just don't read the comments!)

Good Luck - I find them quite gentle with the effects also as you don't want to go too far the other way either!

Need to post so this thread goes into threads I'm on.

Are you still on 0.25?
I think most people seem to find the effects wear off at that lower dose. You can dose this morning rather than wait if you want.

re constipation- it did resolve after a week ish.
